    1) Correction at 1:16 it should have been 6s not 6d after the 5p so it's 5p, 6s, 4f

      @@hime_ichi Just go through the periodic table by lines and you find out what the order is and yes the order is S, P, D, and F but when you are doing electron configuration its a little bit different.

    I am the worlds slowest learner and I don't get the Chemistry concepts my teacher teaches us. Most of the kids understood except me. This video actually helped me so damn much. Better than a 50 min lecture. I don't usually subscribe to channels but this channel deserved a subscriber.

    I'm a very practical person. I find videos like these just as effective as my hour period in chemistry class. I wish they didn't count attendance so I could save time doing something else during those long periods of classes and then just watch these short videos that teach me everything that was taught in class that day, but in a simple and more effective method.     Okay so I’m confused at 6:11... Why would it be 4f^14 if there are 15 elements in the f block.

      because one f subshell can hold 14 electrons so you cant account for the 15th i think but this comment was 3 yrs ago so i dont think youre looking for an answer anymore

      RubiMercuri Because the vertical rows are numbered, so all you have to do is count after you know which row you’re in. Also it really helps if you remember the letters as well. Good luck 🍀 hun!

    Thank goodness for this video! I am going through an online chemistry course right now and Melissa's video helped me understand how to write an electron configuration SO much more clearer and concise than whatever my professor has been trying to teach me.

    I had this class the other week. I hour and a half in chemistry and I didn't understand it, even tho I was paying full attention. Then I just click on a 7 min vid and in that time I for sure can say that y can do the electron configuration ❤. Thank you soo much.

    Wow after watching this video twice I’ve learned more in 15 minutes than I have sitting in a desk in class. Thanks for clearing this up for me, it just seemed like my teacher was pulling numbers out of thin air.
