Hey Guys. I mis-spoke in the video. The whole seat has been changed out to the sport glide seat. Genuine H-D part number 52000357. It’s a two up seat. That part number is both the rider and passenger. It’s about $270
Would it fit the 2021?
@@michaelmasulli4394 same question
you should do walk around videos of your showroom.
You got a lot of likes on this comment. Maybe I’ll do that
Enjoying these customer build videos. It’s nice to see people putting their own spin on bikes.
Absolutely beautiful. I had my heart set on getting a 2020 Low Rider S but I hesitated due to a few minor points that I didn't like. This one addresses most of them. Still, I find that "Club Style" is starting to get old and there are already many of these on the road. I didn't think anything else could top it (for me) until I saw the 30th Anniversary Fat Boy. Beautiful, timeless and super rare. The only one in my city of over 4 million people. I made it mine.
Me too! Mine is # 609/2509
Haha I love that you blurred the speedo! I can’t imagine not wanting to rip that thing on the freeway.
It's true, it never rains in southern California. Bad ass bike!
As someone who's in the market for a new bike, it would be great to see different sized people sitting and riding on the bikes to get a good visual and comparison. I appreciate the videos and will continue to watch as long as you pump them out. Thanks from Portland.
I don’t know what to say all the Harleys look great and sound awesome
Lowrider, still my all time favorite Harley-Davidson. Nice build on this one.
Matt, how about some videos on the history of your family's dealership? You still have a family dealership. (Very rare today) Get your grandpa on video to tell the stories, before he is gone. Just an idea. He could talk about the lean times, (late sixties through the AMF years) through the late eighties through the nineties. (The good times) I remember waiting, almost six months to buy a new 94, 1200 Sportster. I am just shy of the half century mark. I remember how small the local dealerships were. At ours, the mechanics were the parts dept. as well. It was a different time. Still love your vids. Sorry I am all over the place with this one.
I second this request. Matt, Laidlaw HD has pretty much become historic and I think a video that details the history would be quite interesting to many viewers. You'd probably have to edit it into a few videos :)
Nice! Would like to see an updated (new and improved) 2024 stage 4 come out. Love to hear the sound of that!
I have Todd’s Cycle strip bars on my FXBB. I really like them and haven’t heard many people talk about them so it was cool to see them on this bike.
Yea, they are a solid bar.
I bought the Lowrider ST .. there was a huge debate in my head over it and a road glide and the debate still rages in my head…
Thank you man, I appreciate you putting in the work!
This your bike?
These new Low Riders look great, and this build is near perfect. I still love my '09 FXDL but hold no illusion that the Dyna is somehow superior, except perhaps in power-to-shake ratio hahah. Still running my stock seat, which has declined to around a 25 mile comfort range. If something ever happened to my Dyna I would seriously consider this updated chassis. Nostalgia only gets you so far, but these Softails seem to get you there with comfort and performance to boot. Keep up the good work brother
I've got one of these new FXLRS and one of the biggest things I love about it, how cool (temperature) it is when I get off of it even after burning through some hills and twisties for an hour and a half. I mean the bike is fuckin hot, don't touch it lol but it cools SO quick and you can't feel the heat radiating off and cooking your legs or jewels.
@@MrMann-gt1eh Sounds good man. I have to test ride one once the world settles down!
Either it's the way the audio was picked up, or those SE pipes sound really good! Also, what gloves are those? They look rad. Cool video.
I love how triggered this makes all the tough guys out there with this bike running forward controls, ape hangers, and stock exhaust.
Steven Palmer negative... why do a stage 3 and keep a stock exhaust?
jeepmudslut25 CALIFORNIA
Triggered? Huh??
I like how its a mix of genuine parts but some slight twist
As always, great content and great commentary. Thorough and precise. 👍👍
Another great video Matt, it's better to watch this than the news.
I like the auto fog Speedo,,,ha ha,,,so we can't see how fast you were going.
Ocala Fl.
Matt, would you know if Harley's tall sissybar for the 2020 Street Bob will fit the 2020 Low Rider S?
I love the blur of the speedo when he’s on it
So refreshing to see a Low Rider S NOT cookie cutter outfitted SOA club style 🛴
I knew those bars looked familiar! 😂 Really like my Todd’s Cycle Strip apes. 👍🇺🇸
So that’s what it is, really good looking bars!
Love this video. I know it's a bit dated but I've used Ivan's FXLRS for several ideas on my 2018 Lowrider. Ohlins suspension, DK customs license plate, flush fuel caps, profile mirrors, forward controls, HD seat, cruise control...I did stop at stage 2 however. And Matt on most of your adventure videos you ride pretty conservative on Storm Trooper, I assume you're doing the majority of the filming...but when you turn it loose you defiantly hold your own... thanks!
Haha. Thank you. Glad this could be a good reference. Yes, the Storm Glide isn’t really a race bike.
Good morning Matt , over here with breakfast and coffee watching another good video of yours . The lowrider is a good looking bike .
That looks about perfect. I don’t want forward controls but a small fairing with all that get up and go.
Hey Matt, awesome video! I gotta say, this video is what made me buy my 2020 Low Rider S. Would you be able to help me out with what part number is the passenger seat? I’ve looked through the Harley catalog, but can’t seem to find it.
Me too! ☹
I can’t find it or the backrest either. Please help!
I’ll have to look this up. I’ll post the part when I get it
Matt Laidlaw any news with the passenger pillion? Thanks in advanced!
By the looks, it seems they are simply the factory seats of the sport glide
I had Ohlins installed on my fatbob love it.
Ohlins are the next upgrade on my Fatbob!
How much did it run you?
I have an older Fatboy. I can't go online. Wish I could.
@@gottas33 With the install around 3 grand. The front is better than stock the rear is good but not sure if worth the money. I am still playing with the adjustments.
what year is your fatbob? i just picked up my 09 and im trying to give it that street look and feel, thinking of going with the dougz customs fairing
I've gotten over 200mi to a tank on Fat Bob S, I'm not disappointed with the fuel tank, but alot of my tanks are 120-130mi range.
Great video Matt as always. Can you expand on why the built 117 makes more power than the stock CVO 117. Is it the cam or the tune or both? Would the mufflers make much difference? Keep safe over there.
Hey Matt, thank you for all of your videos. Here in EU its more dificult to see and test every model. Do you feel cramped with forward control?
Thanks!!!
I love the new softtails and hope they do come out with the 131 kit for them. one good thing about these bikes vs touring bikes the softtails are so much quicker just alot due to how much the touring bikes weigh. they are 150+ heavier. it is like riding a passenger around all the time vs the softtails.
robert lumsden I have an S and it BEGS for more when I follow touring bikes through the mountains. I simply outrun them with little effort and have to roll off if I’m in the lead. She’s just a sexy black bitch that begs for more and I’m pleased to fulfill those wishes for her because it makes me happy making her happy.
That bike is NICE!
Kudos to the owner.
I have no problem ripping down the highway and maneuvering through corners on my FXDLS. I've yet to experience any significant Dyna wobble and I ride hard. I've seen used Dyna S models in Harley Dealerships selling for almost what I payed for mine brand new. Don't get me wrong I think the new Low Rider S is a nice bike and in fact is the only model I would consider buying out of the new softail lineup. But don't sell the Dynas short. They were and still are great motorcycles.
Agreed the dyna is an awesome bike. I never sell them short. The new softail frame is better though.
Hi Matt. Great video. I currently ride a Dyna but want to upgrade soon. A Lowrider S is on the shortlist right now. A video I’d like to see is the comparison between the 114 CI vs 117 CI vs 117 CI (built, Stage III or IV) on the dyno. You’ve touched on it a couple times about how a built 117 performs differently than the CVO 117. I believe you, I just think it would be an interesting video to watch. Just my .02. Thanks for the content!
Yea, I'd like to try to do something like that. If I have the bikes and opportunity I will.
@@MattLaidlaw hello matt im 1.78 height and 90 kg 2 years of experience which harley should i buy?
Great review as always!
Maybe you could do a vid on luggage options from Harley for softail s ,dynas sports anything but baggers.
I know I could use a better sissy bar option for my crossbones, the back pack I used last year got shredded by the wind!
Thanks again !
That’s a good idea. I’ll tackle that one in the future.
What pillion did he use I was told Harley didn’t have a pillion to fit the low rider s
Great video as always Matt! Where I can get me that jacket?? Looks awesome!
Bloody great to see you respecting the ride by looking over your shoulder. Many mishaps happen because of careless lane changes. Keep up the good work Matt. Last thing, if the is governed and to de govern you have to put an aftermarket tuner on it which voids the warranty, why bother going past stage 1 till the warranty expires
Awesome 👏🏼 I’m looking contacted your dealer. I absolutely loves your bikes that come out of your shop- from XL to baggers. 🤘🏽
Great video on the LRs.
Man, another great video bro. I am wanting to test ride a roadglide w/ the Ohlins package, to see if that's a direction I personally need... Nyway, stay safe in these "strange covid-19" times.
It would be nice to see your riding posture from the side. Just to see those forward controls.
Will you void the warranty if you get rid of the governor?
To get rid of the governor I believe that requires an after market tuner which would void the warranty
usually not a fan of those bars, but they look good on this bike. Picking up my 2020 in about a week. Had 468 zippers cams and D&D low cats. Going to be my 2nd bike....
Nice man enjoy
Beautiful bike and the cruise control on there hell yeah sick bike
I can't count how many times I've tried to shift to "7th". Love yer vid's Matt.
Haha, I was wondering if anyone would notice that. I totally tried for 7th
Love your videos! I'd like to see something on a customized Softail Slim, if u could
Love everything you said about this bike
Thanks man. Thanks for the comment.
Nice motorcycle and greetings from Poland.
This is the bike I'm leaning towards, but I'm gonna need a faring and some side cases. Nice review, thanks!
Great video !! Hey how high can you go on the RPM range with hurting the engine on a stage 3 kits ??
All bikes should come from the factory with ohlins suspension. It’s b.s. that they don’t! Indian gives you fox shit right out of the box.
Disco Donny 007 I agree. The bike may have a mono shock and inverted front end but the internals are garbage. I’m huge on suspension and think for the price these bikes should automatically come with ohlins suspension or GP suspension etc.
Love that you blurred out the speedo at 6:02! 😅🤣 Now, what jacket are you wearing bro? Love it.
Nice bike just add a backrest/rack combo, windshield and an extra seat, and you ride this forever! The touring bikes will be mono shock soon! These dyna tails are the best bikes on the line!
I do two things to any new bike I buy. First I put on a Brembo master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines. The second thing I do is upgrade the suspension to either Race Tech or Ohlins depending on how much money I have, lol.
The Low Rider S already has a great suspension. The stock seat is comfortable, but just a bit too soft, if that makes any sense.
Matt podrias hacer un reviw de la sposter 72 1200cc porfabor es mi moto deseada, aparte creeo que es una moto muy emblematica de varios diseños de harley..! Te lo agradeceria. Y exelentes videos..!!
A motorcycle turned out super Nice Thanks for the video Take care Matt
My favorite look. Classic aggressive. Nice bike great video.
Diggin the videos Matt! What ohlins cartridges were used? Fatbob? Any modifications needed?
let's see some time-lapse builds with the new models.
Got one coming on a Road Glide Special. Thanks for the comment
Very impressive - I'm 5'8 so I'd go for mids and a quarter fairing for more wind protection. Also a touring pack 1- no room for passengers.
I’m 5’8 with this bike and have an 11” Memphis shades road warrior fairing and I want to get a 13”. The wind hits me right at my eye level so my head bounces around more than I’d like. If you get the quarter fairing it’ll just take a bit off your chest
Hey matt what helmet are you rocking in this video? And just wanna say love your vids on your channel all the way from the land down under!
Love those bars, more videos like these of cistomised bikes like this one. Stage 3 would be perfect for a more powerful low to mid range performance. 5 gallon tank is much better.
Great work Matt! Quick question, the governor you mentioned, is that still active once you add the tuner with the various stage upgrades?
Hello Matt great video brother I saw your Chanel everyday low rider s is a powerful bike thanks men 👍👍👍👍
Fantastic video, very cool bike, nice upgrades!
Love the video great work. How about a video tour of the showroom on one of your videos? Don't have to be whole video, maybe just before you hop in the next bike you showcase.. Thanks again
My only criticism on the bike is the horrendous HD stock rear light, its about time they fitted a low profile rear light from the factory.
On another note, im looking at a Simpson helmet, yours looks like it has better visibility than a Bandit, which model are you wearing ?
Hey, Matt! Could you be so kind to tell me what part number is the passenger foot controls and mounting kit for FXLRS? Please!
Part of the reason they got rid of the CEO. Thanks Matt for giving us something valuable to watch during this stand down.
Really like the Low Rider S. Will go down as one of the best produced by Harley. You need to start selling jackets like yours. Add a dealer patch on the back, one HD patch on the arms and on on the left chest and sell it. Let others customize form that point. PS - Suggest more cowbell in the video music.
Hey there! I wanted to ask! What kind of risers n clamps are those?!
Sweet bike! Awesome video and thank you for being informative 👍
How much of a difference does the full ohlins suspension make? I have a bad back and dont want to give up riding. Is it worth the coin Matt?
When you said Ohlins front end. Did you mean Ohlins front forks or did you mean Ohlins front cartridge drop ins? I wonder if my dyna ODC 2.0 inverted front end would fit the 2020 Low Rider S
Got those same Handlebars in chrome on my bike. Love them! Super easy to internally wire!
Those are Scream'n Eagle slip-ons?
nice bike ! i'd still want to swap the exhaust for something less huge and ugly , but staying CARB compliant must make that difficult .
you mentioned how the forwards made the ride more comfortable for a tall guy like yourself , but you didn't comment on the moustache engine guards . any thoughts ?
I like this bike. For me personally I prefer the mid controls so I would leave them stock. I have the mustache engine guard on my Heritage, and those foot positions are too high. I am planning on putting a set of highway pegs set low on it. Also for me the stock 114 is plenty for how I ride, just add air filter and exhaust for me. I get all the power I need and 55 mpg out of it. I would like to see a video on what all is involved in adding cruise control to one of these. Is it all plug and play or are there wires needing spliced and computers needed to hook it up. In my opinion Harley should offer cruise on all the new Softails since they are all throttle by wire.
This is making it hard on me. Do i buy the lowrider s. Put on bars like that. Leatherpro bags. Forwards and cruise controle. Or get the sport glide. Get the better bags from the factoey and just add a ape hanger and be done with it... Think i am waiting to next year anyway. Just in case the sportglide whould come with a 114.
Thanks for the review, Question; do you anticipate a lighter mono shock touring frame? Seems like a good idea...
Don’t know Harley fitted old style rear fender and light. Probably something to do with SOA. If that’s the case they should have left the shocks on. Prefer the DYNA models. Probably the last real Harley’s ever. Don’t get me wrong nice bike for layers and bank managers. A office workers Harley. Ha ha what would jax make of it. looking forward to the salting I’m going to get. Great vid. You certainly know your stuff you redeemed yourself talking about the loss of the DYNA and I agree with your take on a Harley mistake. Enjoyed it. take care in these mad times
Power is great, but the only downside is I ride an 80's XS1100.
It can run an 11 second quarter, right off the lot. Occasionally run into Street Glides and Sportsters racing one another, I barely have to crank it even with my girl on the back. Right when their steam is running out I'm already burying my power-band and taking off with another 3 gears to go! The issue is, they accelerate a lot faster than they stop. Almost like a spaceship under full throttle, but you need to make sure you leave plenty of room in front of you. I can see where the low end grunt is a safer way to have fun. I'm the guy that would go for stage 4. People can have their goofy 0-40mph pulls. I need the one that really can scream at high RPM.
Great looking bike. What passenger seat is that on there?
Hey Matt, I wanna check with you first before I close the deal with Simi Harley, do you guys have the low rider s in stock? Simi only has the barracuda silver not really liking it but the deal is not bad too. Let me know thank you
That’s a hot bike. 🤘⚡️🤘
You guys be safe out there , don't wanna catch the funk
Hey Matt.... How can you get a Touring Chasis that has a lot of these qualities Qualities on that frame... 6’ 4” 240 lbs... is a Sport Glide the way..??
What can you do in a Touring Chasis..??
Thanks.. Great Content...
I really dig it when you did the Rock Shop and Neptune’s Net....
That general area was my High School years zone... I like it when guys do Motorcycles and a bit or spot of History...Like maybe a Run to Tucson ( ok corral).... or Calico Ghost Town... That pretty close to you..!!
Chuck I’m also 6’4” 36” inseam and bought a Sport Glide. Tall boy Harley Seat, and 1.75”’ Bung King shock extension will do a lot. Raises seat height a 3/4” and keeps your boot heal from dragging in a sharper turn. You can also do the forward controls extension and different bars. The catalog explains all this.
what handle bar is this? Looks awesome!
God this bike looks freakin' amazing with the mods, i bought my Low Rider (not the S)last year, cuz i prefer the chrome looks, but this one looks amazing!
Great video of an awesome bike! Where can I find that passenger seat, that's exactly what i would like for mine, as I don't want to change the standard seat, I've searched H-D website, cant find it?
Is that the speedo faded out? Like you are covering it in the editing?
Did Andrew end up getting a dyna low rider s? He said he was in the market for one 6 months ago .
It does come with a 117 now and she fucking rips stock. I put a Bassani road rage 3 on mine and she rips going cams and push rods next
I know you've done a video of the heritage vs road king but how about a video of why hd decided to classify the heritage in the touring lineup and any issues with parts guys having to referred to as touring vs softail
Personally I feel like H-D tried to classify bikes more by their intended use than their frame. An interesting shift but I think it's a little better for people buying a bike and helping them to decide which to choose.
Nice sounding pipes!!!!
If you buy genuine parts but have a non dealer install them, is the warranty voided?
