Hey Guys. I mis-spoke in the video. The whole seat has been changed out to the sport glide seat. Genuine H-D part number 52000357. It’s a two up seat. That part number is both the rider and passenger. It’s about $270
Absolutely beautiful. I had my heart set on getting a 2020 Low Rider S but I hesitated due to a few minor points that I didn't like. This one addresses most of them. Still, I find that "Club Style" is starting to get old and there are already many of these on the road. I didn't think anything else could top it (for me) until I saw the 30th Anniversary Fat Boy. Beautiful, timeless and super rare. The only one in my city of over 4 million people. I made it mine.
As someone who's in the market for a new bike, it would be great to see different sized people sitting and riding on the bikes to get a good visual and comparison. I appreciate the videos and will continue to watch as long as you pump them out. Thanks from Portland.
Hey Matt, awesome video! I gotta say, this video is what made me buy my 2020 Low Rider S. Would you be able to help me out with what part number is the passenger seat? I’ve looked through the Harley catalog, but can’t seem to find it.
Love this video. I know it's a bit dated but I've used Ivan's FXLRS for several ideas on my 2018 Lowrider. Ohlins suspension, DK customs license plate, flush fuel caps, profile mirrors, forward controls, HD seat, cruise control...I did stop at stage 2 however. And Matt on most of your adventure videos you ride pretty conservative on Storm Trooper, I assume you're doing the majority of the filming...but when you turn it loose you defiantly hold your own... thanks!
Matt, how about some videos on the history of your family's dealership? You still have a family dealership. (Very rare today) Get your grandpa on video to tell the stories, before he is gone. Just an idea. He could talk about the lean times, (late sixties through the AMF years) through the late eighties through the nineties. (The good times) I remember waiting, almost six months to buy a new 94, 1200 Sportster. I am just shy of the half century mark. I remember how small the local dealerships were. At ours, the mechanics were the parts dept. as well. It was a different time. Still love your vids. Sorry I am all over the place with this one.
I second this request. Matt, Laidlaw HD has pretty much become historic and I think a video that details the history would be quite interesting to many viewers. You'd probably have to edit it into a few videos :)
These new Low Riders look great, and this build is near perfect. I still love my '09 FXDL but hold no illusion that the Dyna is somehow superior, except perhaps in power-to-shake ratio hahah. Still running my stock seat, which has declined to around a 25 mile comfort range. If something ever happened to my Dyna I would seriously consider this updated chassis. Nostalgia only gets you so far, but these Softails seem to get you there with comfort and performance to boot. Keep up the good work brother
I've got one of these new FXLRS and one of the biggest things I love about it, how cool (temperature) it is when I get off of it even after burning through some hills and twisties for an hour and a half. I mean the bike is fuckin hot, don't touch it lol but it cools SO quick and you can't feel the heat radiating off and cooking your legs or jewels.
@@gottas33 With the install around 3 grand. The front is better than stock the rear is good but not sure if worth the money. I am still playing with the adjustments.
When you said Ohlins front end. Did you mean Ohlins front forks or did you mean Ohlins front cartridge drop ins? I wonder if my dyna ODC 2.0 inverted front end would fit the 2020 Low Rider S
Hey Matt.... How can you get a Touring Chasis that has a lot of these qualities Qualities on that frame... 6’ 4” 240 lbs... is a Sport Glide the way..?? What can you do in a Touring Chasis..?? Thanks.. Great Content... I really dig it when you did the Rock Shop and Neptune’s Net.... That general area was my High School years zone... Chuck I’m also 6’4” 36” inseam and bought a Sport Glide. Tall boy Harley Seat, and 1.75”’ Bung King shock extension will do a lot. Raises seat height a 3/4” and keeps your boot heal from dragging in a sharper turn. You can also do the forward controls extension and different bars. The catalog explains all this.
I know you've done a video of the heritage vs road king but how about a video of why hd decided to classify the heritage in the touring lineup and any issues with parts guys having to referred to as touring vs softail
Personally I feel like H-D tried to classify bikes more by their intended use than their frame. An interesting shift but I think it's a little better for people buying a bike and helping them to decide which to choose.
Hi Matt. Great video. I currently ride a Dyna but want to upgrade soon. A Lowrider S is on the shortlist right now. A video I’d like to see is the comparison between the 114 CI vs 117 CI vs 117 CI (built, Stage III or IV) on the dyno. You’ve touched on it a couple times about how a built 117 performs differently than the CVO 117. I believe you, I just think it would be an interesting video to watch. Just my .02. Thanks for the content!
Matt Laidlaw I’ve watched the videos and enjoyed em a lot. I guess it’s just been instagram builds where they get all dyna bro’d out and then the bigger tank just makes it something different looking.
I have no problem ripping down the highway and maneuvering through corners on my FXDLS. I've yet to experience any significant Dyna wobble and I ride hard. I've seen used Dyna S models in Harley Dealerships selling for almost what I payed for mine brand new. Don't get me wrong I think the new Low Rider S is a nice bike and in fact is the only model I would consider buying out of the new softail lineup. But don't sell the Dynas short. They were and still are great motorcycles.

I love the new softtails and hope they do come out with the 131 kit for them. one good thing about these bikes vs touring bikes the softtails are so much quicker just alot due to how much the touring bikes weigh. they are 150+ heavier. it is like riding a passenger around all the time vs the softtails.

Get the better bags from the factoey and just add a ape hanger and be done with it... Think i am waiting to next year anyway. Just in case the sportglide whould come with a 114.
Hey Matt, I wanna check with you first before I close the deal with Simi Harley, do you guys have the low rider s in stock? Simi only has the barracuda silver not really liking it but the deal is not bad too. Let me know thank you

Really like the Low Rider S. Will go down as one of the best produced by Harley. You need to start selling jackets like yours. Add a dealer patch on the back, one HD patch on the arms and on on the left chest and sell it. Let others customize form that point. PS - Suggest more cowbell in the video music.

What pillion did he use I was told Harley didn’t have a pillion to fit the low rider s

To get rid of the governor I believe that requires an after market tuner which would void the warranty
