- Hope you enjoy this little tune I composed in the French Alps, inspired by the Allobroges, an ancient Celtic tribe that lived in southeastern France.
I am playing it on a lovely Muzikkon 22 string lyre harp which was custom-restrung with fantastic sounding nylgut strings - their clear sound is a real delight!
Getting used to playing the lyre harp needs a little bit of adapting when you're used to playing the Celtic harp, due to the way you need to hold the instrument, and due to the fact you need to look at the strings from the right side (contrary to a Celtic harp)! But it's feasible, especially when playing a simple tune like this one, and I love the ancient folk vibes of this beautiful instrument!
I made this video in the beautiful French village of Samoens. Yes it feels crazy to go and play in the snow (un)dressed like that, but the beautiful sun kept me warm… and this lyre harp instantly filled my spirit with some sort of Celtic warrior goddess energy! ☀️

Very nice piece. Might I suggest to lower the gain when you record yourself because it was too “hot” which means the audio sounded distorted. But I could see and hear it was a beautiful piece of music !
Impressive song, absolutely gorgeous song performance. I loved this that you did. You looked great in that outfit but I hope your poor legs weren't too cold. Made me think of this one girl I knew in college, she wore a short denim skirt with Ugg boots year round, even with her legs getting snowed on in January and February. Curiously, she also wore her green winter coat over a white sweater year round, too and unzipped it at the start of class, zipped it back up at the end, not too surprising in winter but in May it was surprising. (Maybe she just really liked that coat).
