Ampharos should get Tail Glow and you can't change my mind
Should get some other coverage moves too.

Then solar beam needs to get boost on turn 1 too

Used to a run a Defence-invested Assault Vest Ampharos on Showdown now and then. The surprising bulk caught a few players off-guard, so it was a fun chap. Nice to see it get a bit of love, and only a pity it never did get that dragon-typing on the normal form

I also ran ampharos recently and found its very effective with assault vest as you can still raise your sp atk with charge beam inone turn if you really need the boost but i feel like modest is enough also run max Def and max special attack
Instead of Tera blast I’m pretty sure ampharos learns dazzling gleam with the same power of 80 so it’s better to have that with consistent coverage and then the stab if you need it when tera’d

Tera water seems like it would be really good. Water is a great defensive type, and it covers the one weakness, ground, as well as hitting fire and rock. Fairy does hit dragon, dark, and fighting, but there are also lots of good fairies to run. Your clefable, for example, brings home the bacon every time i see it tbh. Knock off go brrrr.
Why use Tera blast when the thing has D-Gleam?

They really have to give it Tail Glow, it would fit it perfectly. And since its still fairly slow it wouldn't even be "too good" on it, but it would at least give it some nice wallbreaking power. It also needs some more coverage. Like it only has Focus Blast, Dragon Pulse and Dazzling Gleam as viable moves, Power Gem isn't that great. On the physical side it has Fire Punch, Ice Punch and Stomping Tantrum, those types would be great on the special side
