At around 10:29 the lokix didnt take 25% damage from stealth rocks so that was a pretty big indicator

I like having a shorter video with just one match as long as the featured pokemon gets to shine in it.
I can imagine how broken inteleon would be if they made snipe shot 100% crit rate, you can run choice specs instead of scope lens and delete everything 💀

Great battle man. As for the videos, keep doing a mix of really close battles (like this one) and the focusing on a specific pokemon videos you've been doing the past couple of months. It's cool to learn the stats of different Pokemon and their abilities. Mainly I just want to see close competitive matches. Anyways keep up the great work Haydunn.

Quite like the length of the battle was just right for the overall video duration. I kinda lose momentum watching the second battles in some of the other videos cos the first battle is usually wrapped up quite nicely. Been loving coming back and watch Pokémon after a few years of not really following the scene though! Falling back in love with your chill voice again! 💜

In double battles you can use Dragon Cheer to boost Inteleon crit rate. Not having Focus Energy opens a slot for coverage move or for Protect. You can even decide to tera Dragon and score crits with other moves 100% of time.

Yo Haydunn, can you make a vid making Gumshoos a beast? He’s slow af so gonna need some kinda sticky webs or tailwind, maybe trick room to shine, but it’s ability Stakeout makes him one shot almost anything that switches in on it.

In doubles I'm running a Dragon Tera Inteleon holding scope lens with a dragon Cheer Roaring Moon.
Flower Trick is 70 BP movee that always crits, Snipe Shot is an 80 BP move that sometimes crits. They couldn't give that move to Inteleon. Go figure 😅
Plus they gave Hisuian Samurott Aqua Cutter, Night Slash and Focus Energy, and since both get the 50% boost from Sharpness it can crit with both STABs for big damage (though thankfully it's slower and less powerful). Still, on paper it's better at the niche Inteleon was created to fill

@novastar6112 Boots prevent damage entirely. Lokix should take 25% while Zoroark takes 12.5%, boots would make both take 0%.

This is my favourite galar starter i didnt switch
I'm so confused by 7:00... Opponent already used Tera so you had a 480 BP Close Combat but you used a 180 BP Flare Blitz instead. Or you could have used Will-O-Wisp and as long as RNGesus didn't forsake you, you'd have been guaranteed to get value out of the turn since the burn would completely Nerf Avalugg.
Tell me how close combat is 480 BP here? What? Avalugg is a pure ice type. Flare blitz is my highest damage, and it’s a 2 hit KO in this situation. Will-o would have probably been optimal if I expected the recover, but I opted for the highest damage possible.
@@Haydunn Oh you're right I thought that was Hisuian Avalugg because the colors weren't right but I guess that's what the shiny looks like. Either way I think Will-o-Wisp was probably the safest play since you'd still get something out of the turn if anything else switched in (It would nerf all the remaining physical attackers and at least do something to Lati since Blitz and CC wouldn't do much).
Me personally i don’t really care how long the video is. Look at your arcanine vid, it almost hit the 30min mark, and i watched the whole thing. Why? Cuz the content is great, your vids are just different and straight up informative. Shit, its even making me want to get back into Pokémon haha
Over all i would say just keep the two battles per vid no matter how long they are.

Why did they nerf Intelion? Do they not like guaranteed crits because it’s considered hax? Was intelion overused?
Inteleon was NU in Smogon singles in Gen 8. The 100% crits with Focus Energy, Scope Lens, Snipe Shot Inteleon with Sniper as its ability is rather niche.

It really bugs me that the opponent threw the game at the end. All they had to do was to just switch out with Lokix and come back afterwards to kill with First Impression. A simple switch was all they needed to do but instead for whatever reason they stay in, knowing that Lokix is slower than Intelleon. Maybe they underestimated Intelleons damage? I don't know

Intellion really is the unfortunate child of Gen8 starters. Rillaboom got one of the best abilities and movepools for doubles while Cinderace got one of the best abilities and some unique moves for singles.

True. Also he could have predicted the Luster Purge and bring in Cacturne to not waste resources in the late game. It could have been played better but for the dramatic effect is nice.
they also got very greedy with the calm minds with their first pokémon. could set up a free sub or got in some nice dmg.
Yeah, If you are pretty sure you can one-hit with first, and have enough mons left, you should throw your remaining pokemon in the meat grinder.

Swear creators just didn’t even like inteleon, the made rillaboom get grassy terrain with an insane move to combo with it, and they gave cinderace an insane ability and amazing move pool to work with it, but they give inteleon a pretty mid ability that relies on rng and can’t even at least give it an always crit move

Also he predicted the luster purge and sent Dragalge to die as a sack but then free switched into the Cacturne after. The cacturnes dark type would have negated the psychic move luster purge
@@platinumsoulja01 the best play in that situation was not crystal clear. He had to risk taking a Psychic or Dragon move, both would have killed Dragalge, but only one would have killed Cacturne. And Cacturne was kinda of an answer for Ting Lu, so it was more valuable. The mistake in my opinion was not using Sucker Punch there.
@@Tungdil_01 That's not true the Cacturne took the dragon move and survived it. So the Cacturne survives both (one being completely immune). The Dragalge dies to both

Not only Meowscarada is faster, it also has type adventage, better signature move and can Sucker Punch any potential Aqua Jet's that would threaten KO if it was sash'ed.

The way Haydunn dealt with Primarina is a Pokemon class. Zero pokemon lost, and made the opponent lose a huge threat and the tera. Neat
I’ve been using to it’s so good with the scope lens I’ve used it queue a few times using just ice beam too ☠️
