- This is the sixth tree in our series on planting small ornamental trees in a new part of our garden. This time we are planting Euonymous europaeus 'Red Cascade which is classed as a large shrub or small tree. In this video I cover everything you need to know on the requirements, considerations, planting and care of Euonymous europaeus 'Red Cascade'. We look back at a recent visit to RHS Garden Rosemoor to get ideas of which plants to grow adjacent to this one to give contrast and show off the fabulous colours to full effect.

Now a days don’t they suggest you plant right into the native soil or else the tree won’t venture out of its little bowl of compost?
Yes, ideally that would be great but our soil is so sandy that I will need to work it and add an organic mulch every year to improve things.
