My understanding is that Marcelito was orphaned as a young boy in the Philippines and was a self-taught singer who earned a living singing in the streets. I can only imagine what he can achieve with some professional training. Loved your reaction!

Gimmicky????? How else can he find music that utilizes his range but by taking on duets. He is, in his own way, a unique gift to music. In a class of his own I think. How much struggle, practice, courage does it take to reach his level? Yes, there are many superb artists in this world.....probably some we will never hear of..... but I believe Marcelito Pomoy belongs in that rare company. Thank you for your comments. Thank you Heather! Haha gimmicky is something i spontaneously say om a first reaction. Which is coming from a lack of english and just not finding the words haha. It’s true he need something like this to showcase it or originals of course. Whenever it’s not done perfect it’s instantly awkward though hehe guess that is what i wanted to say.
@@JesseReacts I see your point but what are you classifying as perfect??? Sure..... pitch, note, intonation, language, vowel, tone, breath control, so so many criteria must be considered. Include in the strength column his demonstrated ability to learn phonically to perform in languages which he does not speak and his obvious aural memory and artistc sensibility. You have one vocalist capable of delivering two or potentially more voices ( what is his actual viable range?). Certainly Marcelito is a unique talent of huge potential which is largely unquantified and not yet fully tapped. I look forward to seeing what the future will bring. Thank you for your response. I enjoy the discussion. Oh yes I did hear what you said recognizing that he performed very well in both roles. After all who said that the human voice capability must be limited by gender, voice type. I guess when Marcelito started to teach himself to sing there were no experts there to tell him he couldn't do it.. so he tried and succeeded. I'm sure it was not easily or without huge struggle and uncounted hours of trying. His voices are warm, smooth, and touch something deep within. He seems to have a strong effect on his listeners. Makes us feel good. Once more thanks for your comments.

Some people try to compare Marcelito with Dimash, but Marcelito is completely self taught and Dimash has been classically trained since childhood. They're both very talented, but Marcelito makes me feel the emotion he puts into the songs he sings. I've seen many reactors get chills and tears listening to him. Glad you enjoyed him.
