Marcelito lives in the Philippines. Please read his back story and you will be blown away even more. He has never had any kind of formal training. What we have here is a gift from God. No other way to explain this pnenom. He can sing all of Celine's songs even better than her. He was on America's Got Talent before COVID shutdown but Simon cut him out of first place.

I only first saw him on a video on U-Tube of him on AGT for first time about a week or two ago, in August. Video went on to others so it was just a random AGT video. I did look to see him again. Didn't have his name. I wondered how he did. He sang the Prayer. I thought he was terrific and hoped he would get signed. His wife was so sweet. At first I thought they were both going to sing. Then she went stage right as he prepared to sing. Didn't hear any thing more. I read that he had sung up to the finals. I was glad as he is super talented. Hoped he'd get a break. Today I saw his name, and then saw your post. I hope you can answer the question about Simon and Marcelino Pimoy not getting first place. Thank you.

Marcelito's inspiring story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and at just 7 yrs old, his mother abandoned him on the streets of a poverty ridden city in The Phillipines. Marcelito would sing to comfort himself when he was afraid and lonely. To survive, he cleaned chicken coops for coins and he would sing to the chickens. Through all of that, Marcelito remained kind, gentle and humble. When he sings there is a certain magical touch that touches peoples' hearts and souls. Marcelito has had absolutely no vocal training and he is self taught. He can sing all genres of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 languages. Then he joined AGT in 2020 but evidently didn’t get the nod of Simon C. & ended in 4th place, tho’ the rest of the judges rooted for him). A lot of very talented Filipino vocalists, yes but it is an excessive subjective opinion to claim they are the best (do you have irrefutable empirical evidence to support the claim?). Be proud of them certainly but don't push it too far.

Yes sir, Marcelito is in a league on his own; God gave him this gift and blessed him with this ability that he didn't discovered at the age of 18. He grew up all alone in the streets of the Philippines searching for his family. He used to comfort himself by singing as he was growing up.

He is the master in switching voices in a split second, no effort whatsoever. What is more amazing is the fact that he never ever had a real training or lessons in singing, he's self-taught. Not only does he sing in saprano, tenor and baritone registers, switching effortlessly within the same song, he is also singing in two different languages, neither of which is his native tongue. He is Phillipino and being homeless by the time he was 7, he has had NO formal voice training. He was adopted by a police officer when his mother left him and his sibling and his father was incarcerated. He is 39 as of this post (05/28/2023)....Can you tell he is my favorite performer??? hahahaha You ought to hear him sing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.... I cried the first time I heard him!!!
