It blows my mind how much detail is in the old areas. Even the connective areas that aren't even playable, are logically thought out so well that the map works when made continuous. That amazing level design wasn't even necessary for the old maps to function, but they did it anyway.
WOW, i didn't have play yet rise because i'm waiting the release on PC but since i have played 2 times MH3U i was curious to see the differences. Really nice to see, thanks for the cool shots!
MHR has better graphics and details but I still prefer the old one. It feels more real and alive because of the colors and the views on the savannah. (1:25 as an example)
Might be an older video, but oh man the rise sandy plains really doesn't do justice for the OG map. The original map was a massive savannah with alot of green sprinkled in between. The rise version is just.....sand

MH3U was my first Monster Hunter game, this brings back memories. All that's missing is the Queropeco and Nibelsnarf!

I wish rise was more colorful. 3U's Sandy Plains had a very specific aesthetic that didn't transfer over to Rise that well
