Great video and a great channel in general!
If the horns are carved from monsters, then they play themes associated with that monster. This means for all monsters that have unique themes, their hunting horn sound is their theme. In the case of monsters such as Barroth (who gets the old Sandy Plains theme as a reference to Tri, the game it originally appeared in) and Diablos (getting the classic Desert theme from the first Monster Hunter), they get themes that reference the games they originated from. Funnily enough the only outlier here is Basarios, who gets a portion of the Lava Caverns theme, as well as the monsters from World, who get reused sounds from World.
Real talk, if the old HH came back with all the QoL of the Rise HH with the Rise HH being made into a separate weapon class (with comparatively weaker buffs and lower range to compensate for the faster attacks and easier melodies) I would probably play both.
That would be pretty dope, but if they did it would probably be the instrument you have. Like you can only make a bell chord if you have the rathian hh and a chello/violin chord for that one.
I didn't watch it yet because i haven't play rise yet, but i'm sure that it's good and full of effort like your other videos, so it deserve the like anyway.
That’s exactly what it’s doing since that’s technically his theme. Kinda of like how Barioths horn has the 3rd Gen Tundra since it’s his theme. Now the Royal Ludroth one sounds like it has a bit of the og flooded forest theme but I’m not sure on that one.
Toxic Fungasax is fire also sad that they changed khezu horn sound in mhfu its literally an angelic sound wich is funny when u see it from a khezu mouth
@@charlescirio too many good options, so I just built the same rampage agitato 5 times and layered each one differently. Tbh the cost of switching layers is not too high so you can always do that if you feel like switching it up. The ones I probably use most often are Teostra, Magnamalo and Valstrax.
To be fair, I just started my second playthrough of MHR and I have fully committed to Insect Glaive. But... gods if this video doesn't make me love hunting horns all over again. Especially, when in my main account, I use the alternate hunting horn dtyle to make the melodies
Is there any way to emphasize the melodies? I've never heard a single one of these when playing Hunting Horn because of all the hit sound effects and even thought that Horn sounds were just removed from Rise with everything else that the Horn used to have.
Can't see the devs introducing a flagship without giving it a hunting horn, there definitely is one! And I hope it really does feature castlevania-like tunes. But even if it doesn't I will mod some in!
Please let recitals be in sunbreak, I think we can hear a lot more from this "weapon" if they were added in, maybe add a switch skill that makes it more like the past games, x, a, and x+a having different sounds, then adding recitals to extend the theme. I Want to feel like I'm center on stage, while also bashing a monsters skull in.
Forte Flammenkornett only gives the regular attack up, this is an error in the video. Trust me, I went on a wild goose chase to confirm the moment I saw that.
You're right. In Rise there is no longer a distinction between Attack Up s and Attack Up L. I think I just copied the "Health Recovery s" into the next line and didn't pay attention while changing the buff name. Sorry about that :( Great job at finding that mistake!

I was excited since my only experience with something saying S next to it is the change in gear from low rank to high rank and I was excited to maybe find a new buff I could work into my bead of resonance build. I just wanted to save other newer hunters like myself from a moment of confusion.

I appreciate the video game. I feel the more bombastic over the top designs returning are a good call. Though I wish for the MHW monsters that returned in Rise such as the Jyratodus(in my top 6 monsters in MHW) I wish those weapon designs had been updated and changed to better fit the more cartoony design. Plus I just had really really hoped to get a Jyratodus Hammer or Hunting Horn. Given that HH is my main and Hammer is a close second. Followed by Kinsect Glaive for 3rd. One last note. It seems some of the songs are pretty meh compared to others and the clips seem to be much shorter than in world
I want to turn my rampage hunting horn into the Rajang skin. But it isnt an option. Is there a way I can unlock it as a layered option? (I crafted the first rajang horn in the tree.)

They count as regular sound effects. Maybe one day they'll get their own slider though.

If I remember correctly, the Rarity 7 weapons (the red ones) only unlock for layering once you reach Hr 100 and defeat valstrax.

you don't have to craft the normal weapons but the layered ones will still cost some defender tickets and monster materials.
