I only just got into X-wing last month. These videos are really good dude, hope you are stilling flying and do some more stuff for youtube. I am really enjoying Xwing and your videos have been very informative and interesting.
I just recently started playing this game. I love your videos and am sad to see this is 3 months old. I really hope you start making videos again the are well produced and informative. I love playing Imperial and hope to see new videos on phantoms, defenders and the imperial aces expansion.
I would love to see more vids do more pros and cons for each ship with a little strategy tossed in there. Great stuff though. I had never played before and these helped greatly in grasping it all.
Great video Nick! That's what I'd like to see more often, also your thoughts on building squads with 100pt and 200pt. When will you be putting out new vids covering wave 4 (and untill then maybe 5 and/or 6)?
I have built some 300 point games with ships from both rebels and imperials using a lot of big name ships. But, I have 3 each of each sky except ties of course. What I have learned from your video is that quantity is better than quality at higher point limits. I guess I'm gonna need a bunch of z95s!
For large 300 point games, using too many "named" pilots and special powers would just make it hard to play and hard to follow. It's just a lot to keep track of.
Yes it is a brain buster for the 1st 3 to 4 rounds, but then half of the ships are gone and by that time your brain has eased into it. But your only gonna play one game like that 3 hours at least.
I know this is trivial, but if you have a secondary that needs a target lock to work, you can fire it at the rookie because you can't shoot the missile at bigs, therefore overriding his ability
Best X-Wing videos on YoutTube. Thank you for posting these. 1. Is there any list that uses the A-Wings effectively or are they just junk? 2. What list do you fly the most? 3. How do you beat 2 YT-1300's?
1. To my knowledge, the most well-known list using A's that is winning tournaments is the "Imperial Methadone" variant; AAABB. Of course, once Reb Aces comes out you will see A's all over the galaxy. 2. I try to bring something fresh to every tournament I go to; as most players around me are very aware of my builds and I need to keep them on their heels with surprises. I probably have about 8 lists that I'm a veteran of and consider to always be able to pull out of my back pocket; a lot of it depends on what I think other people are going to be flying. I may do a video about this really soon. 3. One of the toughest builds for TIE lists is the dual-falcon. Be sure to cluster the middle of the board with as many asteroids as possible and keep the YT's towards the edges.
Nick Sibicky Why dont you continue making these X-Wing Strategy Tips videos anymore? We begginers and even vets need you to share some knowledge onto this game =) Please consider it!
dreadbos He has probably moved on to other games. He has some great pointers for beginners but the game is moving fast. Check out Sanctioned X-Wing you will learn a lot from their videos, but nothing beats good old fashion practice.
I really like your videos and learned a lot from you. I don't want to appear to be impudent but would it be possible to make videos about Lambda shuttle and TIE Bomber tactics? :)
Great video. I love the series In respect to the 150 point set-ups, the next one you should think about doing is the best way to place your squad at the start of the game. My guess is that placement will be spread out on respective sides rather than corner to opposite corner. I could be wrong though. Keep up the great work.
Awesome videos, keep up the good work! Would be great if you could post more to cover the newer wave models (very large ships, phantoms etc), about individual ships cover strengths/tactics and different list builds.
Many thanks Nick for your great explanation and tips of the game, very helpful. I have just got into X wing and enjoying the game. cheers John will you be making more videos ?
i actually am able to play with interceptors very well. i take soontir fel and give him push the limit so he can preform 3 actions in a turn. (1 then another for push the limit, then a focus for the stress) making him hard to hit. i was able to take out 2 falcons with my team (yes 150 points) fairly quickly.
Great videos, best ones out there. Any chance you're gonna make some more videos with the new wave 4 ships/Imperial Aces and maybe do one related to the new huge ships and epic games? That would be great, thanks.
I have a list that is focused on Biggs. Here it is, I need some improvement on it: Luke Skywalker Proton Torpedoes R2-D2 Wedge Antilles Proton Torpedoes Biggs Darklighter R2-F2 Stealth Device
I really love this game, but I honestly find the Ion Cannon to be absolutely broken! Tbh we had to prohibit the use of such a game breaking card in our games. Your thoughts?
***** You play for 2 years? funny, about the same time as me; and yet I mantain that the Ion cannon is the single most OP, game braking upgrade I know...
I know this is quite irrelevant to the topic but I recently bought all the ships and came across the Vader Crew Card. Now the card says deal two damage to (your own ship) then deal one Critical Damage. Does that critical damage get to played FACE UP?
+Michael Vaughan It's really not that overly complicated. It helps a lot to have someone demo for you how to play. Check your local game stores and see if they have an Xwing night you can stop by and watch some people play and/or have them teach you. The players at my local store are super friendly and helped me figure the game out.
+Michael Vaughan A lot of the complication in these videos is only required if you want to play at a more competitive level. Playing games without this level practice can still be a lot of fun when you are starting out.
Try this out: Wes Janson with R3-A2 and Vetran Instincts. Tarn Mison with R7 Astromech and Flachette Torpedo Airen Cracken with Squad Leader Lt. Blount with Ion Pulse Missiles
You don't have video editing software? "Oh no, I just clicked my mouse!" Obviously your strategy and X-wing knowledge are top-notch, but your production skills...

DON'T STOP WE JUST STARTED DAMN IT :-)
Just binge watched all these videos.... you need to make a comeback!

Come baaaaaaack!
Half my meta learned the game with your videos! You need to make more!

Hi! I'm just getting into this game, and i love your videos! Keep them coming!
I'd really like to hear more on card choices. Please. And thank you for your experience.
we need more videos please! thank you so much for this!

Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to your next videos.
I managed to defeat 2 YT-1300 with defenders and heavy laser cannons...kept my distance and threw a bounty hunter up close.

Please do one of these for 100 pt lists, for all us noobs!

That's the key to unlocking his superior mobility
Make more videos. I like them.

Hey Nick, do you have a 100pt squad tips building video?
I have a list that is focused on Biggs. Here it is, I need some improvement on it:
Luke Skywalker
Proton Torpedoes
R2-D2
Wedge Antilles
Proton Torpedoes
Biggs Darklighter
R2-F2
Stealth Device
Excellent vid. Im playing a 300 point (5x5 board) on Vassal soon...any tips?
Hi, liked this very much as I'm new to SW X-Wing. What expansion do you get Biggs Darklighter with please ?
Toby Braddick you get biggs in the 1st core set with the red letters

Hey do you still play? Want your current thoughts on the game
Sad these are all the videos you made.
haha we get to the flying soon enougth, goot joke after 9 months ;)
I know this is quite irrelevant to the topic but I recently bought all the ships and came across the Vader Crew Card. Now the card says deal two damage to (your own ship) then deal one Critical Damage. Does that critical damage get to played FACE UP?
if its not taken on a shield, then yes.
I really want to play this game but it looks complex as all hell lol. How much does this game differ from the Starship Battles?
+Michael Vaughan It's really not that overly complicated. It helps a lot to have someone demo for you how to play. Dude!
Could you use advanced sensors to still have an action even if it does a red maneuver?
Yes, that's kinda why those Advance Sensors are so useful on B-Wings and now E-Wings.
Oh right, never thought of that, no one i play owns any B-wings though which I imagine would be the most useful on
It's useful on B-Wings because they have a solid attack and E-Wings because they have so many options to get to range 1.
What's a good rebel list
Try this out:
Wes Janson with R3-A2 and Vetran Instincts.
Tarn Mison with R7 Astromech and Flachette Torpedo
Airen Cracken with Squad Leader
Lt. Blount with Ion Pulse Missiles
Did he die or what?
Hi
You don't have video editing software? "Oh no, I just clicked my mouse!" Obviously your strategy and X-wing knowledge are top-notch, but your production skills...
I really doubt your ability in this game if you down on Han and other 360° fire. they're great on any point level. including 200
