An intelligent and articulate woman! She was a great interviewer too - she listened patiently to her guests and let them tell their stories. She would tailor her comedy to her audience - she would rewrite material for her British audience and make it pertinent so that they would understand the references. I'm always amazed by her drive - she never gave up. An inspiration!

Saw a couple of clips for the first time and damn, she is crazy on stage as a comedian. The energy level is just so over-the-top that you'd be hard-pressed to find another male comedian who can compete with her. It's a real shame feminists don't look up to her considering what she has been through and how she legitimately fought for her place in the entertainment clusterfuck, especially so considering the times when she began.

Johnny Carson never should have locked her out of late night. He should encourage her to be successful, that's a sign of a small man. Now anyway he was a great man overall brought us much happiness for years. So I can't really say that but that's something you should not do if you're a man, you should encourage women to do the best they can come actually I encourage everybody to do better and the best they can. Some people just need a little encouragement and they can turn out to be superstars. My two daughters ended up being superstars after a horrible divorce when they were very young back in the seventies when they would not let a man keep his children. They can stick that law you know where and so can the judge that ruled against me. He's dead now all I can say is good riddance
