DirecTV DVR - Shows not found! - How to resolve

  • Do you have a DirecTV Genie DVR for recording your favorite shows? Have you experienced trouble with finding the shows you know should be recorded? DirecTV has reported known firmware problems with certain DVRs, and they have been trying to fix it for months. However, there is a workaround you can perform yourself.
    Note, the workaround may not stick forever, but if you experience the problem again, you can do it again. It's pretty straightforward - just click the reset button on the side of the Genie DVR. Wait 10 minutes, and your shows should all appear in the program list.

    Hi
    On feb 25 2020 I began to record The series " When Calls The Heart"
    the setting was defaulted to record 5 episodes *keep at most* i did not know how to change the number to 10 episodes
    Each sunday after i recorded the show i play back the movie.
    I notice the number episode did not increase when it came time for episode 7
    The whole time episode 6 was recording, episode 1 fell off the radar. And so forth.
    Right now on the my list of recorded episodes is 6 episodes. When there should be 10 episides.
    Did the movies i recorded actually fall off the radar?
    Did i record over them?
    Is there a possibility retrieving my When Calls The Heart 1~5 Episodes?
    Please help me.

    What do you do about not being able to access any content onDeman?. Every time I go to any network with ondemand content and select a show from the list of shows on the left of the screen I get the message that says "sorry, we have no programs at this time that match the filter you selected". Every network, every show. One day it miraculously worked and actually allowed me to access everything so I was actually able to see all the content that should be available to me that I never got. The next morning it was back to not working. I always have internet connection on the box, it's hard wired and also shows full connection symbol and says connected when I check it in the menues. It's beyond frustrating and nobody there knows anything other than to tell me to unplug and replug and wait 72 hours. When that doesn't work they tell me to push the red button, reboot and wait 72 hours. It does nothing. If anybody sees this and has any clue what to do it would be much appreciated. Made an appointment for a tech to come out and they blew me off and never showed.
