That INTJ look was perfection. The struggle is real.
Our biggest pet peeve, oblivion.
I'm an INTJ type 7 and what's different about belonging to this enneagram is that we are at least 1/3 more in tune to our extroverted sensing. Meaning that we do have 1/3 developed social skills.
So no death stares and looks like it was represented here.
The only reason why we would answer new year resolution questions is totally dependant on the person asking for it.
Why are they doing it. And what they are trying to accomplish by asking me those questions. And if by answering the questions helps my Fi in some way.
And if what I answer delivers value either to the person or myself (If I see the value) . Than mission accomplished
The state is very real lol I just laugh at it and try to move past it (INFP)
I can't see the intj part
Opened this up and was like, "I can't believe people still make new years resolutions. So pointless." I'm ISTJ. Bravo. Nailed it on the head.
omh yes absolutely same
I’m typing myself as an ISFJ (and I’ve done a lot of tests and questionnaires, and comparing and cognitive functions - article reading) but I guess I’m sharing the same mindset on this. I feel like the biggest problem in new year resolutions is the feeling of not wanting but needing to get these things done.
This actually made me question (again) if I’m a FE or a TE user - help.
Maybe I should ask my therapist about this, but I don’t want to annoy them with useless questions like this since we were only talking about the mental health of my friends lately and I don’t want to interrupt his progress in digging deeper and connecting more details about their childhood-trauma caused by the dismissive relationship they had with their parents. sigh
@@mostcreativenickname You're an ISFJ, or, at the very least, you're not an ISTJ. It's seems pretty obvious to me.
The worst thing is working out all year long, then all of a sudden in early January a lot of people show up for a couple of weeks, then never show up again for another year.
@@scottandrews3510 I know, right? Those January gymers are often the same fad-chasers who buy up a lot of the clearance Christmas candy in the last week of December only for said acquisitions to be abandoned a week later. Like, if you aren't going to eat those inexplicably-seasonal dark chocolate mint Kit Kats, then don't buy them and quit tilting the supply-demand equation against those of us trying to get our year's supply!
"Two people is greater than one person." I totally concur, INTP!
I love the little touch of leaving on the shirt size sticker 😅
The INTJ was perfection. 100% how I would have reacted to that. But, I don't make resolutions because they are dumb and no one sticks to them.
-An INTJ
Expect infp because they stick it on a sticker note lol jk
INFJ and I have never done it. Because : why ? It's useless, it means nothing. Celebrations, days, years, calendars... no meaning/useless XD
People says things they never do. I never made any promises either.
Mine was to stop smoking weed everyday. Now I take some like once a week, sometimes I go months whitout thinking about it. Depends on how much you want the change the new year resolution brings to happen.
You totally nailed the ENTP (I usually didn't give a damn about New Years Resolutions for exact the same reason she makes). You are so awesome in nailing all the different types
as an INTP, i agree with the same
Yeah tbh what is the point of a new years resolution; other than to put sentiment to a goal you were either going to complete or not complete.
Like idk it seems really pointless.
Especially since it implies that you need a special occasion in order to get anything done.
Thinking about that is hilarious given there's an expression where you ask "what are you waiting for, a special invitation?"
It seems some people are and that new years is the reply to that rhetorical question.
i think ppl do that because they forget their own goals idk
The INTJ face and head tilt was pure perfection
my new year’s resolution would be to stop saying “i feel like” all the time, bc i feel like i rely on “i feel like” to form my own judgment a lot. and i just did it again
How is that a problem though? It is important to use 'I' statements and to carefully consider your emotions and thoughts on a subject, so I am curious how using this phrase is unwanted. Is it because you use it as a verbal crutch? Because you want your tone to be less passive?
I feel like you should just do what you feel is right! 🙂
I feel like that's a good resolution. We should try to at least say "I think that" to better access our rationality. Or better yet, skip subjectivity entirely and simply state what is, with confidence.
@@FalconOfStorms Rationality and emotionality are both important to keep in touch with. As an INTP, I would say rationality is more enjoyable, but emotions might be more important, because if you don't keep in touch with them, they'll screw you over.
@@makaniwebb9358 oh, I'm saying to not keep in touch with emotions. I'm saying that when we want to communicate, the kind of language we use influences the quality and consistency of our thoughts. If we start a sentence with "I feel like", what's going to come out of our mouths next is going to increasingly represent a mindset that is unsure, wishy-washy, and unconfident; and which causes further problems with your communication and thought life.
It's sort of like how forcing yourself to laugh actually makes you feel happy. When you seize control of your body and speech, your mind follows.

These are just getting better. I often buy a calendar at the end of the year, then end up either losing it or just not using it at all. My to do list ends up on something like a sticky note.
-INFP
Same male infp here
Oh no, I bought a discounted calendar in March but didn't understand why October(last year) wasn't matching up with my phone.
I first tested as INFP. I used to write my to-dos on my wrist because I would forget to check my agenda.
It’s easier to have a calendar up and leave it empty then worry constantly you are missing appointments.
Ugh, same.
I'm an INTJ and my New Year's resolution back in my teens was to never again make New Year's resolutions. Easiest goal ever! The best part of all is that if anyone asks what my resolution is, I tell them that I resolved years ago to never make new resolutions, which means that I can't make any new ones because to do so would be to break that original resolution. The looks on people's faces when they try to process that is priceless. I'm on a 25+ year streak of successfully sticking to my resolution! 😋😈
BTW, the INTJ's death stare was perfect in the video!
I feel like drinking a beer. It's very liberating that I could share my feelings like that.
And then you realize there wasn't much to unpack anyway, so you finish the beer 'cause it tastes good.
I laughed out loud at INFP calling to her calendar. That resonated :)
I always tell myself they’re pointless but then secretly have 100 things churning in the back of my mind.
-have overthought my type into complete nonsense and have no idea anymore.
Love I! I have to get up.
Heehheee
I would say calendars are pointless if you have a good memory and can remember when something is scheduled or needs to get done, I don't think INFPs are known for that. Her post-it note is better than nothing though.
Awww, why do I find INFPs so cute ? (ESTJ)
I was 100% sure the ISTJ was my ENTP and I was shocked it wasn’t… then the very next one (ENTP) was pretty much the same so fair enough
ENFP - I don't make New Year's resolutions because I'm ashamed of how I know I wouldn't stick to them. INFP's sticky note calendar was also extremely relatable. brb gonna go cry 🤠
ENFP here- the calendar has actually never been me, my ISTJ mum and high Si family has definitely influenced me so I get a calendar for Christmas every year- it’s always a Gorjuss style calendar and the designs are super cute. And omg NOTION- where I do the rest of my planning which somehow works for me using that for organising Was a game changer for me and you make it completely yours. Though I still have post it notes everywhere
I'm also both 😄
Nailed the INTJ again. I also like how you typically portray us wearing black often. Just like our view of the world in general.
I wear black as it's classy and my worldview is not that dark.
Because it's the best outfit to fit everywhere. The most practical, efficient, to blend anywhere, no waste of time and energy and money on useless things. Black is perfect, I don't need to worry anymore about it. INFJ.
We loved the world as much as we can hate it.
Nailed the INFJ--focusing on the moment is one of my resolutions, especially as I am heading into my final semester at my college and want to live it to the full. Also, "what's that supposed to mean?" comes out of my mouth on a regular basis. Can't resist reading all sorts of unpleasant subtext into people's simple comments. :)
And dear ENTPs, New Year's Resolutions are partly a psychological thing--it's always easier to build good habits from the beginning; for instance, it's easier to establish good study habits at the beginning of the school year as opposed to the middle of a semester. Even though nothing in your life changes from December 31 to January 1, it still gives some people a psychological feeling of starting with a clean slate. Use it if it's helpful; ignore it if it's not!
PS: Is over-explaining simple things an INFJ thing, or just an eldest child thing? 😋
Sure, address to the problem and the solution but never implementing it its the laughable part. It's pointless if you start clean to go to the gym for 2 weeks and fall over the temptation of any fried food or whatever. Just don't, don't pretend and be happy.
It's neither, over-explanation is a you thing. Generalisation is a trap in which we all fall.
My favorite part of this video was that the INTP was wearing a shirt that still had a MEDIUM sticker on it 😂😂😂
My wife says she has to tell people I wear my t-shirts inside out because the seams irritate me. #intpobliviousness
The INFJ one was scarily accurate... My cousin genuinely told me yesterday that my resolution should be to stop pshyoanalysing her... Amazing, as always :)
I'm an INTJ, but I relate more to a filtered mix of the ISTJ and ENTP's ideas.
If you wanted to change something about yourself, why wait till new year?
Exactly
HAHA lost it at INTJ’s reaction.
And “relationships are everything” got me in one
Before you ask, yes it was intentional that there are only NFs pictured in the thumbnail. 😉
I first thought the INFJ is correcting all the grammar mistakes in a generic book. But no, she's just editing her own bestseller that will never come out because it's not good enough and no one will understand them anyway.
🤔
Thanks so much for the NF love, I feel really represented! 😍
INTJ : now resolving to practice a ' you're an idiot' stare. XDD
🤣🤣
INTJ: now resolving to practice nice face, because "you're an idiot" and typical INTJ stare / death stare I have by default...
@@user-mc5vy2vk5n what are you implying ? have you chastised your friend for dysynchronous nostril breathing???😁
@@glueball214 have you never been asked what's wrong when there was nothing wrong? Did no one tell you they thought as you met that you dislike them because of your expression? Did you never need to answer your classmates / coworkers "that's how my face looks like" in order to stop the questions / looks? 👀🙈 Since the stare I have already by default, I guess I should practice nice face for the time when neither masks are required in public anymore, nor most times one can work from home.
But I don't complain that some feel intimidated by me, it's not my goal and kinda surprising to hear, but this one doesn't come from my close friends and others being intimidated might actually come in handy. 👀 At least they leave me in peace. 😂 The downside is that I need to be the approaching one and as an introvert that's not what I usually do.
@@user-mc5vy2vk5n oh hey, I was attempting humor. I've gotten, you're so quiet, thought you didn't like me. I would get what's wrong all the time as a kid. I took to making artwork to show my baseline feelings so they could interpret the day to day better. That stare looked pretty darned effective and better than mine. Think it would stop em in their tracks. happy new year 🎉
Ah yes, the ENTP saying all of things the INTP only thinks. We love them from afar.
Hasn't the ENFJ had enough unpacking on Christmas?
Okay, I'll show myself out. Bye.
Please Simone, you know well by now that puns are always welcome on this channel 👌
... we also know well by now that no number of gifts will satiate the ENFJ's desire to unpack.
@@dearkristin True, true 🤣🤣
2022 New Year resolution : I'll submit my assignments on time 😅
~INTJ
You are facing a demon I could never begin to cope with. All of my awe and respect goes to you.
~ENFP
As an INTP here, my New Year's resolution this year is not to stream anything at all, but I have allowed myself to watch movies in the cinema- and my reason IS, as I phrased it, "I have to occasionally go out and see people", so yes, this isn't too far from the truth.
Also, the ENTP was quite true 😆
Remember, if you're near where there's a drive-in you can see movies and still "see people", just see them through your windshield and not have to interact with any of them other than the one selling the tickets. :)
-INTP
I love going to the movies by myself. At least with the social distancing protocols in effect it's a lot less crowded so I can really enjoy the arm room nd use both cup holders for my stuff.
Well I used to until Omicron happened.
I suggest going to the movies at night. Not only are there less people there, but you won't be blinded when you walk out of the theater.
Same about the ENTP and the seeing people resolution lol
ISFP, I think it's a brilliant idea!
- An ISFP, and that's probably the only resolution I'm sure to keep for the year.
As an ISTP watching this having just opened a can of beer before pressing play I can vouch for Kristin's insights
HAHAHAHHA
INTP: This year, I'll actually put my ideas into practice and not be lazy.
Also INTP: Spends the entire year only thinking about putting their ideas into practice and not being lazy.
INFP here who just started bullet journaling (not the aesthetic kind, cause ain't nobody got time for that, but the practical super minimal type) because I got tired of keeping everything on a million scraps of paper, so YUP. Also "Come back calendar!" I FEEL SEEN.
I swear you’re amazing Kristin.
“I FEEL like drinking a beer” I died laughing.
And the entp HOW CUTE YOU WERE AAAAAJGKHKLKGJFK
You’re ALWAYS so ORIGINAL… you know perfectly how to play with stereotypes.
Your acting, the clothes you choose to wear, the light, the script… Everything is so accurate.
AND the bloopers and extra-scenes… I’M OUT LOL. The INTP’s clearly blind Se… “The most best”… I’m CRYING.
Also your way of promoting Boo is so nice. I’ve never seen someone doing something similar!
Last but not least HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!🎊
I really hope it’ll be great for you, you deserve it!!!
(Guess my type tho…)
I’m going with a EXFJ type? The comment seemed a lot more outwardly focused- talking about what Kristen did well in the video- as opposed to how you yourself felt while watching it or how it resonated to you personably (so the more Fi response)
@@Meg_intheclouds I'd guess ESFJ. Si vibes here.
@@wolfsurvival2009 yes! I agree
@@Meg_intheclouds YES!! correct answer !!!🤣💞
I felt so called out by the INFJ one. Uncanny how much that reflects my character.
I’m offended... *moves sticky note*... that you would assume... *moves sticky note*... that as an INFP my whole calendar... *unsticks two notes*... is on sticky notes
Calendar? What is calendar? What is time?
But for real, The INTP is inadvertently adorable, as usual. :)
Lets invite INTJ too to discuss about it all together. INFJ.
The size sticker on the INTP’s plain white t-shirt was *chef’s kiss*. Hahaha
The INFP one was so accurate. I always write down to-do stuff and appointments on the first bit of paper that I find lying around, so my calendar is a mountain of bits of paper, of all colours and sizes. And it somehow works...😅
INTP here... my last year resolution was to START a conversation with people I do not know well or at all a day. I revised it to whenever I leave home later and managed to stick to it. It actually felt great every time and I enjoyed both conversations very much :)
What type of conversations did you have with the complete strangers you were completely new to?
Just curious because people with low Fe wouldn’t actually feel comfortable in holding regular communitications with most of the ones they already know. The idea of Conversation with strangers would rarely strike their minds. ( at least that's what I guess)
An ISTP
@@taposhirabeya1361 well it was first of all a joke but I actually did it many times since writing it. The hardest part is starting the conversation, people you are conversing with will do most of talking once it gets going. Good place to start is a water fountain at work ... if you are a guy, just check some sports event schedules and ask other dude when is next match of XY team popular in your area :)
That "well good luck with that" was a little flippant, I agree with INFJ even though I am an INTP
I picked up the subtle skepticism in the journalist's tone and was immediately offended on the INFJ's behalf. Her "What's that supposed to mean?" reaction was perfect!
My New Years resolution is to not write as many essays in comments 😂
The ENFP is so relatable. My plans for today are literally to “plan my year” and I have like 10 resolutions written down. And to answer the ENTP’s question- I do it because a new year always feels like a fresh start, resolutions aren’t going to make you your ideal version of yourself in a day- but they are a great way to start working towards those goals- and a new year feels like a sign to do it because well it’s a new year. Part of learning mbti is being aware of my inferior functions and working on them, but also letting my Ne completely loose and unbridled because I’ve realised I’ve been subconsciously neglecting it- when self development is also about letting yourself be yourself regardless of external factors that might limit it- I find wider society finds Ne to be quite weird and i admit it is unconventional and as a person I defo come under that. Despite being an Fi user I also have critical Fe, which means that the insecurity in that Ne creeps in at times, and when that happens I kind of ignore it more- like I have no other way to be really than in my Ne, but influences outside have meant I have been neglecting it so if I could only have 1 resolution for myself it would be to stop neglecting my Ne and factor it in so that once a week or so I just let myself be completely in my Ne- whatever that may look like whether it’s making random mind maps, or just talking to myself in my bedroom. Though I do that anyway- but like also to not repress it when I am around other people. Don’t really know where I’m going with this but a message to my fellow ENFPs:
I believe in you, you are going to be everything you want to be this year. And if it doesn’t go according to plan? That’s ok! We’ll do everything eventually.but also DON’T NEGLECT YOUR NE! Developing those Inferior functions is important but at the end of the day Ne is the one that is us or at least is the driving force and I think sometimes we can forget that or think it makes us weird. And yeah we are- but who isn’t. This is kind of for myself as well but a New Years resolution for me
Is defiantly to stop not being myself because I think it might make me weird- fitting in is overrated and I’m not even sure what it means and when I wasn’t being true to my Ne and yes was neglecting my Fi in the process when they are both my first 2 functions so they didn’t disappear I just didn’t let them flourish, I still was weird- but that’s not a bad thing.
For me 2022, doesn’t mean a “new” me it just means I’m going to be fully myself :)
Love this!! 🙌 Go Meg!!
God, thank you. I'm an ENFP too and I realized that always hanging out with my INTP and INTJ friends, to not embarrass them, I often try to be as normal as possible (not much really😅) also because when I realise I've gone too far and I see their disappointment I kinda drown in a circle of thoughts such 'oh no, I've disappointed them, the won't accept me anymore...ecc'. For this reason I found that sometimes I repress myself even when I'm alone because maybe what I do iT's NoT cOnVeNiEnT or bullshit like that. But eventually I don't feel anymore to be funny or creative or excited or whatever. But actually it's stupid. I shouldn't repress my Ne (as you wisely said), and guess what? Talking with my friends I found that they like me as I am, with my side of craziness and love and yeah this stuff. Now, I'm not saying I'm perfect or not annoying sometimes but yes, for this year I want to be more me than ever!!!
Thank you! And good luck!!
@@alessandraolmi4213 thank you! Glad it helped you. It’s good to know you are not alone. And yes! Be you- honestly I get the whole “it’s not convenient thoughts” but yeah letting yourself be you, will only be a good thing in the long run :)
Also my “normal” is I realise not near a lot of other peoples standards but then again my idea of weird is non existing because it’s all perspective, and I don’t see myself as weird if that makes sense but others do and when you try to be “more normal” as I’ve been told in the past- you are really chasing an impossible standard because everyone’s normal is different.
A call for an ENFP posse?! If it's anything like this essay, 2022 is gonna be ALRIGHT 👍
Meg: „My New Years resolution is to not write as many essays in comments“
Me: **scrolls down**
Me: **beholds essay** 😅
Now I'm going back up to actually read the comment. 😉
Haha, I guessed the INFJ, ESTP, ISFP, ISTP, ENTJ, ESFJ, ISTJ, ENTP, and INTP
OK, but I'm *literally* the ENTP though, cause like, I only talked about 'New Year resolutions' with my family and even though I'm an INFP, I have a *strong* ENTP side that I switch to when I'm with someone who's close to me and whenever something annoys me a lot or if I feel rebellious or fed up and when my ISFJ mom was talking about how we're gonna make this year better, I was like, "Hm, IDK, if someone *really* wants to improve themselves, they wouldn't wait for the start of a New Year to do that... Besides, a 'New Year' doesn't automatically make people or situations better, plus, the calendar and our sense of time is something we created ourselves, so we could just be like, 'Aight, you know what? This is a New Year' in the middle of a year and it wouldn't be any different than the actual New Year *and* if we didn't have a sense of time, we wouldn't even know the difference, so I feel like making resolutions *just* cause it's a 'New Year' is kinda useless"
The ISTP moment looks *just* like a conversation that would happen between my ISTP sibling and my ISFJ mom XD
The INTP one seems pretty accurate, so does the ISTJ one - v -
Overall, cool video, fun idea, had hilarious moments, loved watching it, thank you for uploading, Kristy ^^ 💕
(Sorry this comment isn't as detailed as my other comments, but I've been procrastinating and I have an exam tomorrow, so- TvT)
You have the best Entp sketches I've ever seen 😂. That IS almost exactly what I thought juste before New year
As an INTJ, I will admit I occasionally have thoughts about the lack of intelligence some of the people I interact with seem to have sometimes, however I mostly don’t tell them that, mostly because it would make for an awkward social situation, and I suppose it’s rude, even if truthful. I think of myself as a patient person.
That being said, despite thinking of myself as an at least moderately intelligent person, I’m also the biggest idiot I know, simply by virtue of knowing myself better than I know anyone else, and the fact that intelligence can create a greater capacity for stupidity at times.
I don’t make new years resolutions, but I do occasionally make “resolutions” on days other than New Years, although those are mostly ENTJ resolutions.
An another INTJ, I can relate. My near-mythical level of introversion outweighs most other potential motivations in any situation. Telling someone that they're being stupid sounds like it would lead to more interaction than I would want to have with that person. Can't risk it. ...Also I just try not to be a jerk. Intelligence (specifically the academic kind that NTs are known for) isn't the same thing as inherent value as a human being. It's possible to have a lot of one and very little of the other.
The INTP size sticker on their shirt was an excellent touch.
Loved the sizing sticker on the INTP's shirt! ~INTJ
The sound of the sticker peeling off on the INTP's shirt brings back some... memories.
Inferior Se
The INTP knowingly dating a bot is hilarious! I'd love to see that storyline. (Or maybe she doesn't know it's a bot. If so, I hope she moves on soon. But, then again, you mentioned bots can feel love, which, if true, makes me want the relationship to work out.) Which makes me wonder, do you think of each of the 16 personalities you're portraying as the same people every video, or are they new characters every time? Also, the lighting in this episode is great, especially the violet and dark blue lighting.
In an INTP/Bot relationship, it's the bot who is the lively, active, expressive one.
2:02 -.-
The face of an INTJ when they realize their argument or point has backfired and they can't be cynical to themselves. xD
Happy New Year, Kristin!
You Fi moment inspired me to work on my weaknesses this year. :3
Greetings from Mexico.
I know this is late but this is great!!!
Happy New Year Kristin!
I have tried to use so many to-do lists, sticky notes, and yes, avoiding tax related things! And you covered them all for us INFPs! 😄
Absolutely nailed INFP!
Kristin's great skits are distracting me from Kristin's great subtitles.
Even the eye movements for the personality types are spot on.
I love how the INTP still has the size sticker on her shirt
ISTJ. Accurate. Happy 2022 :D
The ENTP faces and voice at 3:40 haha you are such a nice actress!
As an ENTJ My inner INTJ says that alot. "I'm surrounded by idiots"😂😂
Happy New Year, Kristin! 💞 As an INFJ, I always resolve not to psychoanalyse people, but always break it by January 2nd!😂😉
Hehe INFP here, this year I'm overcompensating with three calendars (one for the wall, one for the bag/purse on the go, one for the desk at home). Happy new year everyone!

I need a Dear Kristin Calendar to help me get organizizizied with these resolutionions.

ENFP is accurate which is why I stopped making new year’s resolutions. And now I’m like ESFP in this video. 😂
Also INTJ's 100% my impression of a friend of mine.
The INFJ is so me...even though I'm an INFP
To be fair, they are similar types.
I am INFJ and related to the INFP too ;)
The ENTP impersonating an SF is absolutely amazing, beautiful, showstopping and outstandingly on point
Wish to you enough negative social credit all ENTPs will adore you

I think all of them are so spot on!!! The INFJ one is hilarious. >.< I love your videos so so much! 😊
Her acting and lines are getting better and better.
ENTP part is the best that I almost broke the replay button.
I love the intp character, so adorable!!!!! 😁
I am an isfj and you left me speechless😳
She's back!
I like Kristin’s sense of humor
ABSOLUTELY NAILED the intj bit (IF we EVER might find that is interfering - which we typically would NOT. we KNOW that FEW are as penetratingly perceptive as ourselves).
- intj
ENFJ- I don’t usually make New Years resolutions because I feel like as an institution they signify an empty promise that you expect to break. Instead in the last few years sometime in January I’ve started writing down multiple goals for the year ahead, in different categories, like education/career, mental health, skincare/beauty. A couple years ago, I noticed that I often berated myself with “stupid” etc if I made a simple mistake, and so I decided to work on stopping that practice. And that year I did stop and rarely do it now :)
“Oh I’ll be doing a background check on you later” HAHAHAHAHAHAHA THAT KILLED ME
THE ISTJ TOO AAAAAHAHAHAHA CHECKMATE
Lol, ENTP captured my exact feelings on New Year’s Resolutions. I personally make monthly goals instead of yearly ones. They’re a lot more tangible, and it doesn’t give me an eleven-month window to go, “Oh, I still have more time to fulfill my goals later this year…” hahaha.
Can relate to the ENFP though. Actually, I think my aversion to New Year’s Resolutions isn’t just because they make no logical sense… but because I’ve learned the hard way that they fall flat for me every year. Lollllll. Still, I have a lot of lovely January goals that I’ve already begun to pursue!! :))
Loved this video!! I laughed at lot at this one 😂🤩
ENFP here- I’ve realised the trick to New Years resolutions and That’s go recognise that you need to learn how to do the dance routine- before you can go full out. Basically the monthly goals lead to the resolutions so where you want to be. Also reflect on why you want to do it in the first place, because if you remind yourself on why and what benefits it will have then it’ll help you in the long run.
Honestly my main resolution this year is to let myself be more myself. Sometimes it isn’t about a new you- sometimes it’s embracing the awesome you that is already there.
@@Meg_intheclouds Ooooo, I like this!! I actually couldn’t agree more. I think resolutions tend to fall short when people don’t make constant effort to chase them, but consistently realigning myself with those goals would certainly make them far more likely to come to fruition. :)) New Year’s resolutions certainly aren’t impossible. They usually aren’t for me (at least, I haven’t tackled one yet) but I bet I could if I worked at it right. And I have no doubt you’re going to crush your lovely resolution. Good luck 🤩💞
Glad you enjoyed, Olivia! :)
that subtle head movement and the look of contempt on INTJ's face + the ESFJ's chirpy voice + ESTP + etc -- awesome! INFJ could add "stopping stalking ppl" -- that may be the one thing INFJ will never be able to fully control, lol.
As INTP, I'm partial to doing resolutions, and often actually proceed to work on them. Mostly due to careful wording and loose interpretation, so that "five social gatherings" sounds about right.
But I kinda agree with some other thinking types, that doing them just in New Year is arbitrary.
I relate so much with the INTJ part 😖. I was way worse when I was younger but I am changing that attitude of mine little by little.
2:50 this is actually really funny because I've started doing something similar recently. I have ADD (like ADHD without the hyper) and I'm an ENFP (I know, super productive combo) and to attempt managing it I've tried to write everything I need to do on sticky notes and slap it on a whiteboard. It's... kind of working? Instead of sitting for 5 hours doing nothing while worrying about how I'm doing nothing, I might actually get 1 or 2 things done that day lol.
I’m also an ENFP + ADD A N D a 9w1 turtle… the pain is real :’)
I know this is 3 weeks late but WE'VE MISSED YOU, SHREK!
@@dearkristin dude don't worry about 3 weeks, I pretty much disappeared for an entire year lollll
Honestly the amount of effort you put into both creating content and interacting with viewers is amazing, I can't believe you remember me 😂
It's so good to be back, thank you son much for the welcome! I have a lot of videos to catch up on haha.
@@miahan8988 I'm also (probably) a 9w1 so I get that lol. The perfect "sit on your bed and do literally nothing for 6 hours" combo
@@HelloThere-ki5mg How could I forget!!
No pressure at all! I love seeing frequent commenters but also happy when subscribers are out living their lives 👌
Hating new years resolutions is part about hating the tradition of pointless performative goals made by people with no follow-through, and part about realizing that change is heckin hard and that's why no one does follows through because the possibility of failure is scary. I don't want to try because I don't want to fail, but if I did actually set one, y'all better watch out b/c I'd kick it in the butt 🦾
My phone thinks I misspelled butt 🙄
Bahahaha I adore this comment, totally relate
i got hit with INFP's "our entire relationship is online" hehehehe
This is the perfect video for inspiration for my own resolution. I still haven't got one-
As an INTP, I relate to the INTJ, the ISTP, the ISTJ, the ENTP, and INTP, except I’d be as secretive as the ENTJ about it, I wouldn’t talk, and I’d have less energy than the INTJ.
As an ISFJ, I agree with the ISTJ. I've started making vision boards instead to give me a good kick in the butt to aim for what I want and start planning for it. On a more personal note, ISFP has one of my more quiet resolutions: go after my creative dreams and not worry what others think and whether or not its even plausible lol
ISTJ, ENTP, and ESFP are correct
U2: Nothing changes on New Year's Day.
Yeah, I'm INTP and i would totally say what both the ISTJ and the ENTP said without the irony joke at the end.
I love that the size sticker is still on INTP’s shirt, peak INTP moment
“Fe falls into the shadows”-PERFECT!
Happy new year, kristin! Good job at the INTJ death stare, BTW. ;)
ISTJ had a good point. I have thought the same thing. But the trick is, you just look at where you actually are. You make your resolution attainable. Like, I'm not gonna say "i'm gonna go to the gym more this year." I'm just gonna look at my current state, and appreciate what i'm doing right (taking a vacation to recover at the moment) and I'm going to resolve to do that.
I actually didn't think about New Year's resolutions at all until someone asked me and my answer was simply „No“ don't have any and don't intend to make any.
And regarding ISTPs and „feelings“, recently I literally caught myself thinking: „I think I feel like …“. It's not always that conscious but yeah, the rationalizing of feelings is indeed happening. And it wasn't even about emotions but merely body signals.
Also note the thinking about thinking part again. The meta thinking is real. 😉
So… I (INFP) was talking with my friend (ENFP) the other day about what we’d do for resolutions… and you nailed INFP so good. I said “I’d probably write in a calendar every day, but then forget where or what a calendar is.” Should try to predict what the INFP skit is more often!
An absolute gem! 😄 Despite my diagnosis as an INFP can I just say I do have a proper calendar in my phone (with the Patreon Livestream tonight in it - I'm pretty sure!), the only problem is I seem to have put it down somewhere, but not to panic, I know to just ask someone who knows the number to ring it before the battery dies, and if I can't hear, it check the fridge! 🙄 Happy New Year, God bless us every one!
Bahaha the fridge? Amazing
I always check the bathroom when I can't find my phone. The same is also true for my glasses.
@@danielfranklin9784 Yep! Also inside the washing machine, lost a loyal phone last year to the suds and had another close shave the other day!
@@edwright4892 Ah, sweet Ne, that temptress that beckons us unto the beauty of the mind and leads us to neglect the present...
See the fridge might seem a weird place to check to some people- but my ENFP self has left my phone In the fridge more than once somehow. Or it’s normally on my wardrobe shelf.
My bf is an ENTJ and he doesn’t believe (or make) New Year’s resolutions because self-improvement is a present and ongoing action, NOT an aspiration.
As someone with a lower Te, I cannot for the life of me relate.
Dear Kristin is the only comedian/therapist/spiritual advisor on the planet. We don't know how lucky we are.
1. Do I really have to unsubscribe to be a channel member?
2. The INTP character during the Boo ad was perfect.
3. The last new year's resolution I kept was to stop making new year's resolutions. What you don't make, you don't break. And if you really need to change your life, why wait till New Year's?
4. The ENTP character does a great job of making sarcasm cute.
Woah, your intj impression was spot on! You reminded me of an INTJ girl I knew.
This skit just gave me my New Years resolution -INTJ
Please make a video about literary characters as MBTI types, or MBTI types in famous books... Or maybe MBTI types as Princesses 🩰!
I love your videos 💕
Someone whom I suspect is an ISTJ was saying that same thing, and when he asked whether I had any NYs resolutions, I was like. . ."well I haven't thought of any yet." lol ~istp here.😂
I've found myself in the same Ne questioning of arbitrary events like resolutions as an ENFP. The deciding to finally follow through with things is more like my new week resolution....every week....
I swear I'm going to finish one of the novels I've mapped out in my head!
I am an ENTP now, apparently! My exact thoughts on New Years resolutions
Edit: ok, the esfp ending is actually perfect 😂
As an ISTJ, that is literally what I say every time the new year rolls around.
