@@keifer7813 Adderall is a pharmaceutical drug used to help people with ADHD (and other such disorders) focus. So typically when a person takes it they get hella organized and get a ton of work done, often down to the minute details.
The joke here is that he doesn’t feel bad for having sold adderall because you can’t OD on it (probably 🤷🏻♂️). So he’s imitating a pair of detectives investigating a dead person’s home, and they come to the conclusion that the cadaver must’ve OD’d on adderall since all of the chores in the house are done.
Extended release is kind of like extra strength.
Amphetamines give energy and focus but they are metabolized quickly, in about 4 hours. Extended release would release the speed to you in increments over longer than 4 hours. It’s effect is to be motivating to do things until finished, like chores.

He does such a good job playing with his own stereotypes, like, you see that guy walking on stage starting to talk about dating culture you go "oh boy here we go again" and then he catches you off guard cause its actually funny af and even a little vulnerable. Very cool, highly enjoyable
Yeah, from how he looks I kind of expected the usual tired material about partying/dubious hook-ups etc. and he turned out to be pretty clever and funny.

@@HEMi1995His are quite well done imo, for a lot of comedians they seem stilted, like they're relying on it to be the main punchline of the set. Alec's callbacks seem very natural and smooth by comparison, which makes them a lot funnier, to me at least.

@iAmNothingness He starts off with the energy of a frat boy, dresses the part, got that groomed Neanderthal low key vibe. But once he's out the gate, he seems to do a reverse and be pretty damn cool.
You know the comedian is solid when you search for more of their work as soon as you're done seeing their set for the first time.

I respect committing to 12 seconds of dead air for a joke that really pays off. Alec Flynn has such natural social skills it's fun how he uses his timing.
Andrew Shulz was talking about this yesterday. He said the pauses don't work when one is nervous. The crowd has to tell that the comic is up to something.

Today there's tooooo many stand up comedians. Before with a little talent you can find them in the movies but these days there's soooo many that they do their special and you still don't hear about them. When there's too many talent it's your responsibility to be very business savvy to succeed.

The combination of one liners mixed with his stories created an excellent pace for his routine, he hit me with a few surprise belly laughs in there.
Alec Flynn is a funny Man. Haven’t watched a stand-up in a good while, but something about his performance here is captivating!
I especially like that he’s funny without much swearing, no vulgar or sexually explicit shit, no degrading women, and no sense that there’s actual rage under the surface. He’s cool

I used to be an adjunct instructor for a community college. I walked into class one day and one of my students said, "Ms. [Name], I googled you and a BUNCH of stuff popped up!" I could immediately see everyone peeking at their computer screens and typing stuff in thinking they were sly. I gave them all a surprise pop quiz and spent the next 20 minutes deleting and hiding profiles while they were distracted.

All the best comics are great at subverting expectations, setting you up for something and then blindsiding you when you think you know what's coming. I think it was intentional but yeah that was hilarious to me too!

I really liked that last joke, especially in the context of the Alpha Male content joke used as the vid title. The idea that sex/a hook up IS something worth celebrating and high fiving over and that that is more valid than your feelings of embarrassment or shame is core to the toxicity of that content. Men need to be allowed to be more emotionally vulnerable, and I think it starts with us men having the courage to be vulnerable to our fellow dudes.
No, it starts with telling no to women when they assault you during intimacy. Men are still too afraid of being seen as a bitch when it comes to confronting women for their actions.
Being a man isn’t about feeling shame and having a guilt talk session with your friends…being vulnerable isn’t being a man…being unshakable and being able to handle your emotions and lead is being a man. Unbelievable how pussy this generation has become..

What I see in these replies are just "alpha male" guys feeling hard called out for their "real men tell women what to be and how to behave" philosophy. Showing anger is also being emotionally fragile, fellas. Being dominating and assertive is also a strategy people employ when they would feel uncomfortable in situations that they aren't allowed to control every minute detail of. It is a sign of weakness, not strength. When I see an "alpha male" that insists "being a leader" with a "winner's mindset" I see someone with deep insecurities they externalized to the rest of the world because they're too incompetent and too afraid to look inwards to achieve some measure of emotional intelligence and accountability. I see men who're either narcissists or wish they were one. And it's not hot nor conducive for any healthy relationship, either for them or the poor women they end up ensnaring. Being flexible is a lot more resilient than being rigid. If you can't bend you break a lot easier.
