  • In this video we are propagating our alpine strawberry plants by division. The delicious fruits of the alpine strawberry are full of flavour and at this time of year it couldn't be easier to make new plants from established clumps.

I always learn something from watching your channel. I didn't know that some strawberries don't produce runners. You're going to have a lovely crop to enjoy this year.

Thanks Wendy, luckily they divide really easily and also self seed a lot if some of the fruits are left to fall. They might be tiny but they are so sweet and tasty - worth growing if you don't have any so far! xxx

They are great little plants and so easy to divide, hope the weather stays dry for you! Thanks for watching 👍

I don't recommend doing that. Grow new ones from seeds. Alpine strawberries plant produces lots of berries for 5 years max. Splitting old plants is pointless.
