23:50 yes, girls used to go to gurukuls where they were trained in the Vedas and martial arts. Lord Rāma's mother Kaikeyī was a warrior and charioteer. In battlefield, she even saved her husband, Dashrath from getting killed. Chitrāngada, Arjuna's wife was trained in martial arts and Satyabhāmā, Lord Krishna's wife too was a warrior.
Gurukuls produced many women scholars like Apala, lopamudra (they were female rishis who composed the Vedas) and female Vedic professors like Gargi and Maitri who defeated men in debates. Female students of gurukuls were called Brahmavādinīs.
Mata Kaikeyi was mother of Bharat not Lord Ram. Mata Kaushalya was mother of Lord Ram.

Gurukul was the basis of Bhartiya education system till 1825. After the age of 8, boys were send to gurukuls where they used to stay there , do work on their own & used to get educated in all subjects. Totally there were around 50 subjects. Britishers ( Macaulay)broke this system as this was too powerful & experience based making every person self reliant.
I have seen videos of a very large residential school in south India where the children are very well educated and fed for free. A huge kitchen and staff care for the kids. The founder is a US educated professional who has dedicated his life to education!

1:- sixchha.(Normal education jo abhi chalta ha.)
2:-vidya
The above mentioned things are in Vidya.
That's why our school is called vidyalaya not sixchhalya.

Indeed. The main intention of Gurukul was to create a superior and hyper-conscious species out of humanity. But due to loss of information as they relied on shruthi and smrithi alone. It's very sad that the reality of human species is fatal and as we see, population explosion without any higher purpose is causing infinite karma as today's humans are born to make the exact same mistakes of their parents. It's like falling into a downward spiral. Greatest yogis and siddhars always warned never to touch nature for Lust or Greed of desires for sensual pleasures and material comforts. Humanity fell into the well and so started devolution process. Now most humans cannot live alone in nature. They just cannot survive. They have become overly dependent on unnecessary plastic and metal things. The children they have will fall in the same trap. So, the karma is multiplied 8 Billion times... 1 time for every individual, when a child is born. How can humanity ever go back to positive side from deep negative... Impossible.

The gurukuls were run by selfless Rishis ( teachers ) in lap of nature, where children were encouraged to explore and learn rather than force fed . Teachers were to assist students in their quest for seeking knowledge. Students were also required to work in fields and gaushala to teach them dignity of labor.
This is our Satya sanatan Dharma. No violence, no hatred, no negativity, no forceful conversions. Great sanatan❤❤

Mayapur is not so far distance from Kolkata. 200 km from Kolkata. There are more than 200 students in Gurukul. Gurukul for girls is also their . They are strictly vegetarian and organic also .they hv no facilities for electricity and comfortable bed . Above 4000 foreigners devotes are living there .

Yes there is also gurukul for girls from the ancient time to now. And the very intrested thing is that not only mens also the womens r appointed as teacher from vry ancient time. Teachers are called ACHARYA(MEN)and ACHARYAA(WOMEN) students r called SHISHYA (boys) SHISHYAA(girls)
GARGI,LOPAMUDRA,ANASYUA r just few name of great Acharyaas. Even Acharyaas can be PRADHANACHARYAA (headmistress) of the gurukul if she want or she have the rt or others sopport her according to her attainment

This is located in Sri Mayapur Dham, ISKCON headquarter . There is no facilities for girls but girls there is a separate school only day school. In USA there was a girls gurukul but few years ago it has been closed.
