Here's a little suggestion to make your dessert way better : Gently warm up your Gulab Jamun (microwave for few seconds) and try it along with a scoop of Vanilla IceCream , You could do the same with Jalebi! Thank me later!! XD
I've only ever had them hot from my restaurant. I couldn't imagine cold lol. I've gotten them a few times from the restaurant where they were lukewarm/room temp and while still good, it was still a night and day difference from hot.
It's probably because it was frozen. Cold ladoos are gross mostly because the ghee solidifies and it becomes kinda greasy. Even when it's defrosted, the freezing process really destroys the ladoos texture. Also sometimes the sugar crystallises and that's weird although I haven't seen it happen with mootichoor ladoos. And obviously after the first 2 weeks we had to put it in the fridge/freezer.

Motichoor laddoo should be very soft, the one u ate is almost frozen. When u come to Hyderabad, there is a place called "Dadu's". I think u can even order it internationally. That's the best motichoor laddoo u can ever get. I'm 100% confident, u will love it.

YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN HEAVEN ONCE YOU TASTE THE FRESHEST "MOTI CHOOR LADOO".... I can understand why that Ladoo is not so good because there is a lot of difference between fresh and non-fresh Ladoo
Many of those sweets are supposed to be eaten fresh. Not processed with preservatives and packed. Fresh Moti Chur Laddus (those yellow balls) are made in Ghee (clarified butter) and medium sweet, they are one of the best sweets you can have when fresh. You should come to India (once the COVID situation is taken care of) to try Indian sweets, the things you are eating are dead, not fresh. And the Badam Milk, is supposed to be had hot, and chucks are supposed to be eaten not drunk.
Moti chur laddoos are made with runny gram flour put through a strainer with large holes in it in a pot of hot oil and those drops of flour batter forms into tiny yellow balls. These balls are then soaked in sugar syrup with a bit of cardamom powder and saffron. Once it soaks the syrup. They are made into small balls aka laddoos which you are guys having ❤😋

several of these sweets, esp the gulab jamun is better eaten from the actual store than the tin variant. But i've had good tinned rasgullas and sohan papdi so cheers to you for trying all these, really heartwarming to know you find these nice. And when it comes to Laddu, you might want to try what's simply known as Besan Laddu.
Honest review..As far the kurkure is concern it is the most common snack found in every home and serves in parties and other gatherings..You both are just fabulous..Keep the good work going...Best wishes 🙏
Yaa kurkure is very popular in India I wish you could try those sweets in India believe it your opinion about those sweets will change because they are dame tasty 😋😋😋😋and thanku for appreciating about our India it really feel good to watch it 😄😄😄
Kurkure is quite popular.... Almost all parties its served with soft of hard drinks. Try one thing with gulab jamun. Heat it in oven and put vanilla ice cream over it and then see how you feel about the gulab jamun. Overall.... Jalebi, gulab jamun, soan papdi, rasgulla, Kurkure, peanut chikki, are very popular in India.... Rest all are type of just ok ok...
I can totally understand your reaction with the laddoo. It’s a very different style of food that what u hv outside India. And the flavour is very traditional. I know so many young kids today who aren’t the biggest fans coz now they consume western sweets on a more regular basis. Btw we have laddoo usually during celebrations or religious stuff. And there are literally a 100 types of them!
You have to come to India to actually try the real flavours. Frozen sweets do not retain freshness and taste. I love that you guys love Indian food really good content. ❤️ and try fresh Haldiram Sweets from the city of Nagpur.
Hi, first of all, great videos. I just finished watching all three of your Indian food reviews. Totally loved the dad-daughter duo. I would like to share my experience on frozen Indian Sweets (I am an Indian living in Ireland) we do not buy them because they lack quality and flavor. Haldirams is the only brand that does justice to Indian Sweets apart from local Indian stores selling freshly made sweets. Those Laddoo and Rasmalai were not looking good, I would highly recommend you to try again from Haldirams :)
I love Rasgulla. They are spongy boiled paneer dumplings soaked in sugar syrup which are best eaten chilled.. you squeeze the syrup out & pop an entire one into your mouth & they’re chewy & juicy & syrupy in your mouth. But for someone trying them for the first time & not knowing what to expect, guess the texture was unexpected so it seemed strange. They can also seem too sweet. Gulab Jamun on the other hand, is best eaten warm (and with a spoon lol). They have a different texture than rasagulla & are made with milk fat & milk solids that are deep fried in ghee to crispiness and soaked in sugar syrup. They are dense, cake like & rich.
Oh my god..If I had Badam Milk without the bits of Badam(Almond) in it , I think I would lodge a complaint with the company! 😂😁I guess its just that we are so used to eating exactly what the description says that the expectation is always high.
I presume you live in Framingham, MA. I live about 45 north of your place. I know one Indian store at Shrewsbury, MA. They sell some exotic Indian sweets. You can try them.
Once this Corona thing gets over I want you to visit India. I promise and guarantee you that it'll be the best time of your life. You'll get Love like never before ❤️❤️
the aam bar is more of like sour candy and not a sweet dish, also you nailed every pronunciation including pistachios. You also ate every sweet dish correctly and don't put that badam shake in your coffee, that's not how it's meant to be. Haha, you guys are wholesome and lovely.

Our associations with sweets form templates (chocolatish, candy, fudge, etc.) early in our lifetimes, which might make it difficult to make sense of sweets beyond those templates later in life. Moreover, the richness and complexities of Indian sweets are extremely tied to their regional histories and geographies. Take a trip to India, and let its different regions delight your sweettooth with their myriad favorites - all prepared fresh!
Hi i was seeing ur video for first time I really liked the frankness n enthusiasm u were showing was not scripted only I will like suggest that u will find the sweets more satisfying if they r brought from sweet vendors or restaurant who make them as u r trying the canned one which contains high preservatives so somewhere smacking down the original taste.. Next time do try stuffs without preservatives I bet u will like n enjoy more... 👍👏
@13:03 that looks like traditional Halva to me !!! and if thats the case its a sesame paste based crumbly / stringy sweet that usually has pistachios in it and on it as well.
Laddoo is made by hand rolling hot fried chickpea flour tiny balls known in India as boondi...looks like small shiny yellow pearls thats why Moti choor .....Moti is pearl in Indian language....so these minuscule balls are fried in ghee and dipped in sugar syrup and then hand rolled in balls know as Laddoos....a popular traditional festive sweet, auspicious also as gifts and great for exchanging pleasantries during festivals like Diwali, Marriages and also presented to Gods especially Lord Ganesh 🎉🎉🎉 do watch a Laddoo making video....
Laddu (pronounced Luddoo) is a generic term for ball shaped sweets. There are many many kinds. It’s like saying a bar.. there are many kinds of bars.. chocolate bars, granola bars etc. similarly there are many kinds of Laddus. In South India they are called Unde (Oon-day). The laddu you tried was Moti choor.. which are tiny syrupy bits of a jalebi like sweet shaped into a ball.
Motichoor ladoo! Most people are not fans, 'Rasmalai' is love😋 even u r some of the few people who got their hands on. U should try cooking some indian snacks, a lot of recipes available on you tube! Try making a main course meal'Rajma Chawal' (kidney beans and rice). It is loved by everyone in india!! and yes we do drink milk of rasmalai!!! It's totally delicious😋😂😂😂
Rajma chawal isn't loved by everyone tbh 😅, like we bengalis have a lot of variety to eat with rice Rajma chawal is good but you know mutton kosha, potol pusto, beguni, chanar dal etc... Tastes a lot more better than Rajma Chawal 😅
@@krishnapriyabhattacharjee yeah! Depends upon your taste buds and for a vegetarian, I have never tried those dishes!😂 But you can't deny that 'rajma chawal' definitely has some serious following though!!😋
Hey I'm from India These snacks are packed which u have but if you eat them fresh just after cooking or making You will be so amazed by deliciousness and fresh taste of our food. Drooling literally❤️
Orange Kurkure are the classic Kurkure. They are the original ones introduced and in my opinion the best ones. There's also orange lays (West Indies Hot'nSweet chilli) that are highly addictive.
Both the jalebi and the gulab jamun are good warm. You can just microwave them for a few seconds... I definitely recommend it. They taste less sweet when they are warm. Also, cardamom is not cinnamon!! They are two completely different looking and tasting spices. Cinnamon is almost never used for sweets in India, but is mainly used in savoury dishes. Cardamom on the hand is used in a large number of sweets.

several of these sweets, esp the gulab jamun is better eaten from the actual store than the tin variant. But i've had good tinned rasgullas and sohan papdi so cheers to you for trying all these, really heartwarming to know you find these nice. And when it comes to Laddu, you might want to try what's simply known as Besan Laddu.
Gulab Jamun & Rasgula are my most favourite 🤤🤤
Same
You should come to India and try all of 🎉 then you will definitely love all those sweets
Honest review..As far the kurkure is concern it is the most common snack found in every home and serves in parties and other gatherings..You both are just fabulous..Keep the good work going...Best wishes 🙏

Yes Deep products are widely seen and sold in USA, rarely we see in India. I think they are for more outside India
Love your Channel You guys are Awesome
Thank you for trying so much of our Snacks😊
Yay! Thank you!
You guys killed the review..As far kurkure is concerned it is the most commonly used snack in parties and home..Keep the good work doing👍❤️
thank you!!!
Do more of this we seriously love watching foreigners trying indian snacks
Thanks for watching! We plan to do more Indian food and snack videos so please subscribe and share the channel. We appreciate your support!!
Thank you 😊! We plan to do more and will definitely stick with Haldirams
You gave kurkure 10 out of 10, duh this is what every single Indian wanna hear... That's it.. !! that is it!!!!! u won our hearts.... :-D
Pronounciation is spot on
..... Hope your daughter also hosts a few episodes sometime
Love your relationship, and your honesty. Though I will repeat what others are saying..Fresh sweets are league above the frozen one any day
Thank you for watching and your support :)
What's the name of the store?
Has anyone suggested them to heat the Gulabjamun for 30-50 seconds in the microwave and eat them warm.
wish we knew that!
Once this Corona thing gets over I want you to visit India. I promise and guarantee you that it'll be the best time of your life. You'll get Love like never before ❤️❤️
We would LOVE to!!!
U only test 0.5%of Indian sweets
There is hundered kinds of sweet
I love Rashmalie
I hate when they didn't liked it..
Yes, Masala Munch is the most popular version of KurKure.
Aye bruh here's the catch, it will take you your entire life to actually eat every single dish made in the Indian peninsula
the aam bar is more of like sour candy and not a sweet dish, also you nailed every pronunciation including pistachios. You also ate every sweet dish correctly and don't put that badam shake in your coffee, that's not how it's meant to be. Haha, you guys are wholesome and lovely.
😀🙏

The moment dad realizes he is only one in family not to have lychee drink before 😆
Try always gulab jamun with vanilla icecream. Awesome taste
I love the way dad pronounces indian “words”
The “gummies” are colorful bits of candied papaya
Try microwaveing the Jalebi and have it hot, or just steem heat it for a few minutes
The best thing is you are enjoying every item
We really did!!
We are planning to based on the advice we have received from the comments! We want to try them at their peak form :)
Heat the gulab jamun with the syrup for 30 seconds in microwave. Have it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thank me later
@13:03 that looks like traditional Halva to me !!! and if thats the case its a sesame paste based crumbly / stringy sweet that usually has pistachios in it and on it as well.
We never heard mango bar 😂😂😂😂. And love from India .
Thank you for watching! Please subscribe if you haven't already - we plan to do more in the future :)
Red one's are super super famous in india and sonpapdi should be eaten in a plate or a small bowl. Its taste like cotton candy.
Thanks for the information - super interesting and explains a ton 😀
Hey I'm from India
These snacks are packed which u have but if you eat them fresh just after cooking or making
You will be so amazed by deliciousness and fresh taste of our food.
Drooling literally❤️
It's so unfair that you never share anything with the mom 😂
Orange Kurkure are the classic Kurkure. They are the original ones introduced and in my opinion the best ones. There's also orange lays (West Indies Hot'nSweet chilli) that are highly addictive.
we LOVED them!!
Love your channel!
Thanks so much!
You must try Haldiram's Pani Puri/GolGappas..and Aloo bhujia..😋😋
I'm literally eating a Kurkure as I'm watching this... And I literally screamed the moment you took out the Kurkure😂😂😂
LOL! We LOVE Kurkure!!! Thanks for watching :)
I love you guys❤️❤️❤️
@@erilyngdoh2818 Thanks so much! We love you too - thanks for watching and being a part of the SIU :)
Awww you guys are so sweet... Stay safe❤️
Thanks for sharing!
