Aurelia is a Cities: Skylines series focused on building a semi-realistic futuristic city. The city is influenced by cyberpunk and other sci-fi styles. It mostly revolves around a high-density urban theme with lots of verticality and elements that are either completely made up or inspired by cities and structures from all around the world, architectural concepts or flat out fiction. To achieve all this, the gameplay is heavily altered by mods. The city favours public transport and walking, but because of Aurelia’s role as a regional centre, there is an extensive highway network as well.
PC specs are in the channel's About page. No, the game doesn't run like this in real time. It is recorded slow and made faster in editing.

Aurelia ep. 105
Tis is not a game anymore. This is art.
I always believed that games are a form of art by itself:)
and specially the modelers of assets ,they are so underrated
so fucking true
Wrong, it's a game
@@el_cat2859boring ass
Really cool to see this supercut of the last 3.5 years! Awesome work
Flux where you at. Last vid was 2 years ago
I miss you man
Miss your series flux!
Wow its Flux, miss you broski hope all is well
lmao youre still alive. looks like i lost a bet
aurelia will definitely go down in history as one of the greatest CS builds ever made
It is the greatest one
@@andrej8505 i would have to give that to FBS International Airport
Most important, one that actually is finished
100%
And one of the few that is actually finished and not just abondoned for a new project/city.
Great work, with a very own look and vibe.
You can give me 35 years, I can't make 10% of this. This is straight up impressive!
pretty sure you can recreate it in 35 years
@@ereen6637 he's not being serious lmao.
shut up @@chrissant6277
@@ereen6637 yeah pretty sure he could ngl
@@ereen6637 I disagree. People with talent and dedication will always surpass people with simple dedication.
Honestly, you're probably the most gifted CS- Player out there! Every single one of your Builds is a straight-up Masterpiece in Creativity and Detailing!
Loved this, can't wait for all what's about to come!
Not even gifted, skilled through years of trial and error! Pure creative skill.
The amazing thing is, Akruas actually finishes things! While there are a few great CS artists out there, like Fluxtrance and Citywokcitywall, who do incredible things in the game, the problem is that some if not most of their projects just fade away or straight up die out! Akruas managed to pull off a project like this without losing pace, and that is a truly amazing show of dedication!
CS is counter strike.
@@fynkozari9271 Just like "cookies", certain words or initialisms have different meaning depending on context.
ignore, this is a reply test
it looks like he has made every single thing with his own mod not use single vanilla object mann
This city is filled with what would be absolutely legendary skate spots. A dream city indeed.. anybody here got some spare billions so we can start construction?
I think you meant trillions
@@JASONKENTJANA Yes i did mean that actually! In the Netherlands, we have this thing called a biljoen, which sounds a-lot like billion. But it’s actually the same amount of what you call a trillion. It’s really confusing most of the times.
We have “miljoen” which sounds like million, and is actually a million. Then we have “miljard” which also sounds like a million but is actually a billion. And then biljoen which is a trillion, as explained as my earlier comment. It’s unnecessarily over complicated.
@@tenta1849 hahaha i mean for such a futuristic cities, it would be very very expensive
@@tenta1849 I would never understand that. In BR portuguese, we have "milhar" wich sounds like miljard, but it means one thousand; then we have milhões (millions) and bilhões (billions).
This video confirms my hypothesis: There are two kinds of CS players, Functionalists and Artists. Functionalists buld cities with massive populations and earn lots of money. Akruas is an Artist. To the Artist, the map is the canvas and the mods/assets are the palette. Aurelia is incredible. 3.5 years, that, my friends, is dedication. Some marriages don't last that long.
sidebar: How many thousands of assets (vanilla and Workshop) are loaded each time the map starts? And how much RAM is required? I have 32 gig RAM. That would not be enough for Aurelia.
I have 32GB too, its fine. I don't know how many are placed, I load some 10k.
Like there are three types of architects: artistic guys, like art deco court designers, prohuman functionalists (Prutt-Igo'eers), and turbocapital modernists (Zaha Radiders). This game is developed, as I see, for a modernist taste. I dunno does it simulate a thing, or it's justa canvas for ejecting urban failures, like a leaking suburbias, empty city regions. Will see.
I think it's a bit of a mix between artist and functionalist. "Functionalist" not in the sense that it's profitable in-game, but in the sense that it's an actual functioning city that people can actually live in, akin to East Asian/European cities as opposed to the automobile-centric infernos that most C:S players make.
@@westwind1059 I thought Aurelia is a pro-human functionalist type? I mean, it has a decent network of public transport services (bus, tram, mass transit).
Also lucky it never got corrupted or something I suppose?
3.5 years of work and the result is here : Aurelia is the best and most beautiful city ever create on a city builder. Hard to imagine that is the work of only one man. Thank you, it makes me dream 👍👍👍👍
3 5 years so much my city is 1 mond
No, but this city is definitely top 5, #1 is Nevan city
I gave the 666 th like 😎
@@SuperTitank That was the "like" of the beast !)
I love that this isn't far of what cities in a couple of years "could" actually look like, we can even do them now but it isn't a priority xd
bro is any city in the USA had this kind of public transport I would cream myself
overpopulated
Ill tell you what, back in the day soviets were building nuclear towns for the nuclear plants. They were build from scratch and one of the greatrst examples is Chernobyl. The thing is sobiets wanted to show the world how they are able to build a fully functioning city in a short period of time and it worked.
No way in the US ever. In Asia and Middle East for sure but US is just a mess
@@xXaLuKaRdXx1 any soviet built city was ugly as hell, chernobyl is a clear example of that. A city with 0 identity and 0 style
This series was awesome, sad to see it go
9:20 that tram definitely ran over a bunch of people.
even in very advanced future cities such accidents keeps happening
@@LauftFafa The more advanced we are the more things like that will happen. People didn't die quiet as often on horse and buggy.
@@otallono imagine if we get flying cars and peoples start doing the same bs . We will get accidents abd cars falling or hitting buildings and causing fire in high floors it will be a mess
I actually can't belive I somehow remember watching this all.
Back when this series started I was still in elementary school and I think couldn't even understand most of what you were saying at that point (my English wasn't good enough) so the fact that I was still watching just proves how good this series is and how amazingly you build. Keep it up. What you're doing is amazing!👍
What’s with all the depressing music?
I'm at a lose for words. Any chance of making this city public so we can marvel in all its majesty? I would just sit there all day and look at it. I wouldn't even build my own cities anymore. Outstanding!!
Did anyone else see 35 years instead of 3.5?
The rent must be atrocious
What kind of PC does one need to pull it of?
This has really opened my eyes to what is possible with cities, thank you for the hours you have put into this build. I would love to get access to this save game so i can check it out in closer detail and perhaps find more inspiration in the details that may not be shown in the video. thankyou @Akuras.
any appartement for sale in that city ?
Probably one of the best C.S. series out there.
Great job!
Society if they uninstall League of Legends
0:04 that interchange looks more like a roller coaster than interchange.
"Sir, we have been allocated INFINITE funds for the construction of this city"
I just love how you have so many elevation changes it makes it so interesting and aesthetically pleasing to look at. Keep up the work man, love this series
This gives me inspiration!
Sad that Aurelia is finished, but happy to see a future series to begin ;)
Are we exactly playing the same game? But seriously, you're amazing. It's incredibly beautiful here. I can't even imagine how much work it takes to dig out the right mod, for some, learn how to work with it. And the most difficult thing is to merge it all into a place that would turn out beautifully and aesthetically. Great work.
I'd love to live in Aurelia. Beautiful city. Wonderful work.
It would be great to see some photos as if they were taken by citizens from within the city.
If this city existed in real life, I would totally live in it.
This city gives me the “you can’t sit with us” vibes 🤣. Incredible build!
I remember well when you were still laying out the freeways on this city. A lot has changed since then!
This is probably the nicest map I have ever seen in CS. Great work. So much detail, so realistic!
Are you considering adding realistic markings in your interchanges and intersections? I know the intersection marking tool was only available in later episodes, but I think it would really add some finishing touches to your city.
The markings don't look good on sloped roads and the shuto highways are also a bit clunky in some details. I tried to make it better like 20 episodes back, but just gave up because it couldn't look the way I wanted to anyway.
Missing one thing: poo river
Otherwise great city
I think this is the most well planned and best looking city ever built in C:S. This looks incredibly good! I wish I could download it!
3.5 years for a building game, WOW now that's called a real dedication. Salute for you bro!
Having followed this series a bit off and on, and binging the episodes I missed has been a joy. Every time I watch your videos I'm thinking of ways to integrate your ideas into my Xbox city! Guess I'm gonna need to hop on CS tonight with all the transportation inspiration I just witnessed...
I was here from day 1 and just wanted to say thank you. It has been an amazing journey. I’m glad you took the break you did in the middle. Life comes first.
I was looking forward for every next episode of Aurelia as if it were another dose of a highly addictive drug😉
You're a Great Artist!
Let your creations bring you happiness, strength and separation from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Happy New Year 2022 @Akruas!
We can only dream of future cities looking this amazing!
Incredible job!
I'll just stick to my dirt road village
What a journey. And what a gorgeous end result.
Still I can't really believe it's over tbh....its been there three and a half years of my life...
I am hoping you'll do another big futuristic long build. Maybe something on another world than earth 😉🙏
This is amazing. The level of artistry, care, planning, and patience that would be involved. I hope that you have a rewarding profession commensurate with your ability. You should include this video in your resume.
Crazy to think that this series started before the pandemic. Makes it seem like ages ago. Well done!!
PLease please please please make an easy to follow tutorial on this, or make this a downloadable map! its absolutely stunning.
Thanks for the ride these three years. Since the beginning I've managed to switch jobs and get two kids. Gives me some perspective. See you in the next one 😁
Awesome freaking city👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼..... I just wish someone would have put in some sprinkler....ya know, to water the dead grass thats everywhere 😬. Seriously though, coal City!
After watching this, I intend to stop playing Cities Skylines because I feel my city is ugly and just watch this channel.
Aurelia is wondercity
lol what
Holy shit. Pardon my French, but, this is such a detailed and creative city, possibly worthy of an award with how much time and effort was put into this masterpiece. Along with the fact that it actually has functioning public transportation and traffic regulation only makes it better. I would live in this city if I could, and it seems as if many others would as well. Keep up the incredible work!
Incredible work. I wish it was easier and didn't required so many mods to do some of these stuff, specially to build things with different levels and make it look good.
ok dude. This isn't even the same game. Is there even a single auto generated building in there?
It's all modded assets and anarchy letting you place buildings on top other buildings and stuff. Most these buildings aren't even accessible. Very aestethically cool though and good job. Almost any vanilla city looks like shit compared to this.
I do think it feels a bit cluttered and busy though. A bit overdone so to speak. But that's just my opinion.
With that said, to be clear, it's still among the craziest and most inspiring builds I've seen.
Fantastic work, congratulations mate. The shots for this vid are exceptional
There's a typo. It should say "UNPAID WORK"
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Absolutely gorgeous dude. Well done, the epitome of aesthetic
I don't know how many mods you have but it's surely tough for the computer's processor. Good job.
This city has grown so much, I would like to thank you for providing us content. And Best of luck for 2022!
Aurelia is an actual district in Rome
Fantastic job, i can only imagine the amount of hours dedicated to that project 🥰👌
But how is traffic with de-spawning turned off, submit this to BIFFA for testing!!!!
The first and so far the only Cities: Skylines series on UA-cam that I have followed from the very first episode. Didn't miss out on a single episode since, even after the "indefinite" break. Thank you for embarking on this journey and taking us along with it.
Whats the cost of living in Aurelia? What's the price of on apartment in the downtown and suburb
Your creative talent is mesmerising. This level of perfection is something we should all aspire to, but so few of us will achieve. Congratulations on a job very well done.
And then theres me…
Who eithers fucks up the sewage, water or elecy right at the fucken start 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You have done an amazing job. Im looking forward to the next series
Ужас !! Я не хочу жить в таких уродливых , не комфортабельных городах !
you really need to make an easy to follow tutorial on this, or make this a downloadable map! its absolutely stunning.
I don’t even understand how most of what is done in this is possible, I can’t even make a parallel road half the time
as a person who always prefer acient architexture to modern i even liked your city
This absolutely looks like a city for the future! Love it a lot!
Я может что-то не понимаю, город выглядит красиво, но он в то же время выглядит перегружено, и кажется он не удобен для пешеходов
no one will ever surpass this work, truly amazing
I would absolutely love to tour this on my own.. I can only imagine how many assets are needed to power this master piece (Boy do they add up quick.. haha). Could spend countless hours just looking around, and never see everything
Never saw I city like this... not even in a movie or in a book description. Your city is a dream, but alive, almost touchable. You sir, are the best city builder I ever heard about. As a hardcore city simulator fan, you have all my respect.
nice too see that someone can actually pull this off considering the game is always broken
Absolutely gorgeous. If only every city in America was as beautiful, modern, and efficient as this one.
Why does the filter used make the city look like any other city in rock music videos?
this is the closest a city in this game has ever gotten to looking like real life. phenomenal job bro
The densest city I've ever seen! Clearly not the vanilla version of the game! I see a lot of things I can't do on Playstation.
I'm very curious how many mods have been used. It's incredible work, so many small details. there was a feeling that this is a real city because of the architecture that I just can’t imagine in this game.
The amount of creativity involved in this is simply unbelievable to me! I absolutely love how much verticality you brought into this build! Amazingly done!
UA-cam never fails to make me feel bad about how my cities look
Can this city be downloaded in the workshop or somewhere?
The statue is from Heroes of Might and Magic 5 at 14:13 Right?
I don't know why seeing this city I think they will be the cities in 2050.
wow, are those things even possible in C:SL? :D
And there is me starting the game who puts the hospital next to garbage storage
It was a real honor to follow this city's progress! It was a real inspiration for my project I've been making since 2019. Hope one day I can show the results too!
You definitely didn’t make this in game. No way
Although I my self Loathe modern architecture and style in general, I must admit you made the future look good, Congratulations.
Beautiful but you waste your time anyway, life is running out.
Bro, how do you even have this kind of creativity?
I hope they invite this guy when they try to build a real utopia
So many mods you can't even say it's Cities Skylines lol
How long does it take to load?
But I’m beyond impressed with your level of detail on your city, well done.
So basically you created every real estate agents heaven
Absolutely amazing!! Incredible work, you have all my admintarion. Congrats!
Amazing, I wanna move to this city right now!
Please make an easy to follow tutorial on this, or make this a downloadable map! its absolutely stunning.
Watching this makes me feel like im a noob.... And i play cs around 2years....🤣 Hes just so talented and focus on this, smallest details beyond my imagination.... Very impressed and yeah, so far Nr1 build ive ever seen. Fantastic work man😊👍
Damn man, chapeau to you and congratulations to your endurance to actually finish this city! What an enormous task! 11:01 one of my favorite shots :-D And you even made the solar towers turn with the sunlight, sooo cool!!
