Amazing!!! Now if we could just have a mod or a new game like this where we can build the city and then become one of the citizens in the city, in first person and/or third person, and drive around, do stuff like GTA jobs or SIMS stuff, or even become a super hero like batman, spider man, or superman and fly around the city, fight bad guys, do quests. Manor Lords has the right idea with this but it's still in a very early stage.
Totally agree! Imagine living in the city we built! With AI and new tech, it feels closer than ever. Manor Lords is a cool idea, but I'd love a more modern twist. GTA + Cities: Skylines? Future gaming is gonna be wild! 😊❤

@@Parabol76 Guys, I was reading your comments and was thinking exactly the same. I've been considering this for some time now. I'm a Machine Learning engineer and have worked with generating three-dimensional spaces using AI, particularly Gaussian splatting, and topics related to GANs. To tackle a challenge like this, I have some approaches implementing artificial intelligence:
First Approach: First, thinking that there could be an AI tool capable of taking the map created in Cities Skylines and importing it into a GTA V game is very ambitious. To my knowledge and experience, I've never seen anything like this yet, although I don't doubt that in 10 or 15 years it might be possible. So, the first challenge is to achieve this. To do this, we first need to know if it's possible to export a map from Cities Skylines; after a quick search, I've seen that it is possible through Modding Tools. So far, so good. Secondly, we would need to find out what generation and modeling engine Rockstar uses to create the GTA V map. After a quick search, I found that they use a proprietary engine called RAGE, which would be something similar to Unreal Engine but from Rockstar. So, we know that the major challenge would be to make the map format from Cities Skylines compatible to be integrated into RAGE (or Unreal Engine). Once this is achieved, we can think about playing GTA in the city we have created in Cities Skylines. And note, this is just the first challenge in a series of complex tasks. Up to this point, we would have the ability to spawn a character in an inert map; then we would need to incorporate and make everything else compatible, such as NPCs, physics, IA's, and all the game's logic in general.
Second Approach: Another approach I've thought of is generating simulations from worlds created in Cities Skylines. Imagine recreating San Francisco or New York and adjusting the traffic and transit indices according to real-life data. From these simulations, we could try to solve traffic and transportation management problems. Could be interesting.
Bonus Track: What do you think about having this amazing capability someday, combining these three video games and playing it in a room specially adapted for total immersion, where your body is semi-unconscious and connected with sensors while you wear virtual reality glasses, where your senses and consciousness only act in this immersive world? What if we are currently living inside a simulation? Crazy, huh? Just something to think about.
@Pancho96albo it does sound very ambitious but perhaps we're over thinking it. AI is a great tool to have and it will only get better, but there is something special about the human element to design and creativity. Something I've not yet seen from AI. I love the idea of AI being a part of the interactive element of NPCs and random generated quest/jobs etc... but in its current state, it's creating images that, although look amazing, are quite unrealistic. We've all seen those adds on FB with the AI generated images of beautiful women standing in front of a field, with a dozen of the exact same tractor behind her, or the helicopter with three tails in the sky above her, or she has three arms or legs 🤣. Creating something like this will also create jobs for people in the industry and a community of networking. So I am all for being a part of a team of creative and skilled professionals who have the same passion and vision in regard to this project. 👍
@@Pancho96albo Absolutely! Wow, this is a fantastic and mind-blowing concept. I completely agree with you, and I think we might see this kind of technology much sooner than 10-15 years. Considering the incredible advancements in AI, both hardware and software, over the past year alone, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens within a much shorter timeframe.
And about the end of your comment, that's a wild thought, but definitely a possibility! Maybe we are NPCs ourselves, designed by some higher power for their entertainment. Who knows? At least it's not out of the realm of possibility!

Amazing! I love your creativity in laying out everything on the map first and taking it from there. I like the quick style a lot. It's also nice to see your speed builds, too. However, this is on such a massive scale, quick style is the way to go.

You're right, the city build was a huge project, and splitting it into 15-20 minute chunks would have dragged on forever. I think the quicker pace keeps the energy high and makes it more engaging for viewers.

I do sometimes sketch out a basic plan before I start building, but for this city, I decided to wing it and see what happened. I have a background in industrial design, which I think influences my love of using geometric shapes in my cities.

Very beautiful and reminds me of how Atlantis was said to look like, I would have like to see traffic, amenities, city services, and other things that were added, but I do like how you made you're keep the city green and areas with only trees. I'm sure this would help mitigate the air pollution.

Absolutely! I've thought about that so much too, and I can't wait for the day when that kind of gameplay is a reality. I think it's definitely something we'll see in the not-too-distant future.

It looks amazing. I just hope no one mistakes videogame urbanism for real life. This city would be a miserable example of high modernism in action, with limited means to get from one part to another, road infrastructure central to planning and to the city itself, occupying the best land etc.

@@play4fn Don't get me wrong, I love these videos. There is a purity to these ideas. But I have visited Brasilia and other cities that looked great on paper and ended up lifeless and isolated because of gigantic infrastructure cris-crossing them. I think elegant designs such as these work for smaller cities like Palmanova and star fort places.

Thanks for watching and commenting! You're not wrong - the Intel 13500 is a pretty cool CPU, but I was actually having some temperature issues with it during this gameplay. However, I recently installed a AIO cooler and the problem is completely solved now. I haven't seen temps above 70°C since!

While it's definitely possible to do this, I don't think it would be the best use of my time or my viewers' time.
For example, the city in the video took me about 100 hours to build and edit the videos. If I were to do it without unlocking everything and with limited money, it would probably take several times longer.
I'm not opposed to doing this in the future, but I would probably do it on a smaller scale. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy my other videos. 👍❤
