She did great, wholesome looking family. So nice to see a pretty lady with no visible ink or piercings, very rare nowadays. just my opinion. You guys are doing a great job, we enjoy your videos.
if i wasn't already subscribed this video would have had me clicking that button so fast! Love to see women giving daunting machinery a go -now that you have conquered it you need to add that basket!
Yes Allison is learning well, It is very important to know how to shut everything down when the need arises and of course those are the moments that you least expect that cause issues fast.
She did great. I could never dream of my wife getting on the tractor. It took me a while figuring out the bushhog cut heights. As yourself and several people have said, keeping that wheel rolling on the ground will keep you from a sore back after a day of mowing. Also, have you filled the tires with antifreeze and water for extra ballast yet. Look into it. It will help. Have a good one from east Texas
nice going Allison! My wife gets out there on our little 125r sometimes too. Enjoyed watching some of your videos here. Awesome property! Bit of a pro-tip, buy some "clip-on bucket forks" and go get some pallets from somewhere. Putting things on pallets is SUPER handy, also nice to load and unload things off the back of a pickup.
This machine was made for you Allison, great job , practice makes perfect. Before you know it you will have your own channel, Brush-Hogging with Allison. Lol
Lol! I appreciate it! I've actually always loved mowing. It's the only time I get to myself. 🤣 The tractor was definitely a little intimidating though. 💗 Allison
Your "From neglected to beautiful" video came up this morning and after that I watched a few more. Then subscribed. Your attitude and approach is really commendable. There are and will always be, people who are mean and snarky. You handle them well and also take sound advice and ideas with humility. A rare combination. You guys have taken on a huge project- it will be wonderfully satisfying as each goal is met- learning as you go. Allison has earned a basket! Great job for a first time tractor job😊 Look forward to your journey. P.S. Your kids are great!
Great job Allison. Curious if your going to bale any hay this year for your cattle? I was raised on a farm in the Midwest and moved to the east coast as a adult. I miss the work I use to do on the farm.
We got the cattle a little prematurely. We realized some of our fencing was not secure enough for them so they went to another farmer. We don't have hay baling equipment, but we plan to once we've restored the land and get livestock again!! If you have any tips or suggestions, we'd love to hear them! Thanks for watching! 💗 Allison
Another viewer pointed that out too! I bought that last fall like that. They must have put Ag tires on the rear and reversed the front! I'm going to switch the fronts around this week. Good eye!
I once saw a video on you tube about goats being used to trim or clean the jungle . So if you have goats in your area get them to the land and let them do the cleaning for you. Watched your video from Sri Lanka .
Eagle Eye! I bought the tractor last September and I noticed it had Ag tires on the rear and Industrial on the front, but I never realized the front treads are backwards! Thanks for pointing that out!
Suggestion might want to advise Allison if the temp does rise fast, not to shut the motor off, but try and clear the blockage on the screen so the motor can get back to cooler temp by the aid of the fan.
We don't have the cows at the moment. We realized our fencing needed a lot of work so they went to another farmer. As soon as everything gets repaired we are going to try again. I'm also running a hot wire along the fences too. Thank you.
Allison, you seem to be pretty good if this was your first time! Good Job!!! Just be safe out there, tractors are very dangerous. Even experts can and do, get killed on them.
I have 2 26HP tractors and she hasn't wanted anything to do with brush hogging her pastures in 16 years with them but has worn out 3 of my lawnmowers in the pastures.
You are right, but on tall grass and weeds if we try to mulch with the 5ft bushhog on the little 1026R, it will bog it down. That's why I have the front end of the bushhog lower than the rear, so it discharges out the back and has less strain on tractor. Thanks!
Good to know but yes, most of the grassy and weedy areas are getting mowed at least once for the first time so we can see the terrain and identify hazards. We've found ditches, blocks, holes. Plenty of areas will be left natural. Thank you!
You are right! I usually wear 3M over the ear music earphones. They're one of the things she took out of the compartment. We are going to try to make a better effort to remember all the safety gear all the time. Thank you!
I was told Bush Hog was a brand name. I've heard them called bushhog, brushhog, brushcutter, rotary cutters, etc. I think I called it all of the above in the video. Bushhog is easiest to say though, isn't it. Thanks!
Let Allison know in the comments below how you think she did! 😁 Thanks for watching!
A fan, sunscreen, coffee, and a hat. You go girl! You got this!😊👍
Lol. Work smarter, not harder... right?! 🤣
Great job Allison running the tractor and bush hog

Thanks Clay! That's something I'm definitely looking into. I hear Windshield Washer fluid works well too.
You did a fine job, keep it up!

Doesn’t matter how well she did. She did it safely and built confidence for the next time.

Is there a particular reason why you have the front tires on backwards?
Another viewer pointed that out too! I bought that last fall like that. They must have put Ag tires on the rear and reversed the front! I'm going to switch the fronts around this week. Good eye!
Good JOB Keep UP the Good Work
We appreciate it! Thank you! 💗 Allison

Campo Grande Capital De Mato Grosso do Sul 🇧🇷 Brasil 🇧🇷 , Mini Tractor de Alta Performance e Mullti Uso Gostei 👍 👍 👍 🇧🇷🏁🇧🇷🏁🇧🇷🏁🇧🇷🏁🇧🇷🏁
Thank you!
I learnt to drive the tractors on our farm when I was aged 8 1960
never had a mishap . Dad showed me how to hit the stop button if anything went wrong
Good tip from dad! Thanks for watching!

Goats are definitely something we are looking into! Thank you for watching!
She's outstanding in her field, lol.
Thanks for the chuckle! That's a good one! Thanks!
Why are the front tires on the wrong way
Eagle Eye! I bought the tractor last September and I noticed it had Ag tires on the rear and Industrial on the front, but I never realized the front treads are backwards! Thanks for pointing that out!
Sun protection pleas.
ALL THAT TEST DRIVING SHOULD OF HAD BUSHHOG GOING LOL GREAT JOB...
😁 thanks for watching!!!
Today i moved my moringa seed cups back outside. Thae still have not germinated. I am here in Central Florida.
Good luck with them, Tim!
Alison you're doing good. Where ist the basket was a good one. 😅
Lol. Thank you! They should make these things more women-friendly! I don't travel lightly...I need my storage 🤣 💗 Allison
@@livingon80 I really understand it. Greetings from Germany
i like the video
Thank you for watching!
How long has she been on this farm that she hasn’t done this?
We've had the property 2.5 years but got the small tractor last fall. It's her size!
Suggestion might want to advise Allison if the temp does rise fast, not to shut the motor off, but try and clear the blockage on the screen so the motor can get back to cooler temp by the aid of the fan.
Thanks for the tip!
An old stiff paint brush is what I keep with me for that purpose.
Wondering why you dont cut and bale some of this nice grass for hay for your cattle, or if nothing else bedding when needed for the animals?
We don't have the cows at the moment. We realized our fencing needed a lot of work so they went to another farmer. As soon as everything gets repaired we are going to try again. I'm also running a hot wire along the fences too. Thank you.
Allison, you seem to be pretty good if this was your first time! Good Job!!! Just be safe out there, tractors are very dangerous. Even experts can and do, get killed on them.
I appreciate the concern! Thanks so much! I'll definitely stay on flat ground! Just the small hole scared me! 🤣💗Allison
I have 2 26HP tractors and she hasn't wanted anything to do with brush hogging her pastures in 16 years with them but has worn out 3 of my lawnmowers in the pastures.
Lawn mowers definitely dont last long in pastures 😁
The tractor side of the mower should sit slightly higher than the trailing side, it will mulch better!
You are right, but on tall grass and weeds if we try to mulch with the 5ft bushhog on the little 1026R, it will bog it down. That's why I have the front end of the bushhog lower than the rear, so it discharges out the back and has less strain on tractor. Thanks!
Herd of goats would handle that pasture just fine.
Hopefully soon!
Oh dear, do I see you’re mowing down milkweed, a primary food for monarch butterflies
Good to know but yes, most of the grassy and weedy areas are getting mowed at least once for the first time so we can see the terrain and identify hazards. We've found ditches, blocks, holes. Plenty of areas will be left natural. Thank you!
The wheel on the brush hog need to ride on the ground. But a good job for thfrist time
Solid advice! Thanks!
Why not all the down
That 5ft bushhog mowing low is a little too much for that tractor, and she was new, so we clipped high. Thanks for watching!
You don't have to use the brake to shift with Allison.
She's grind em til she finds em! 😁
Using hearing protection would be a good thing to do.
You are right! I usually wear 3M over the ear music earphones. They're one of the things she took out of the compartment. We are going to try to make a better effort to remember all the safety gear all the time. Thank you!
Put that back wheel on the ground and your tractor will stop bouncing all over the place.
Solid advice!
Regulagem no terceiro ponto 👁🇧🇷🏁🇧🇷
Got to drop that hog way lower…
Yep, could have cut it down a lot more. I didn't mind though, being her first time, keep it light. Thanks for watching!
Even girly girls can farm
100%... It could use a few more compartments for storage though 🤣❤️ Allison
“Brushhog?” Please never say that word again. It’s always a Bush hog no matter the make of the implement. Nice lawn mower though
I was told Bush Hog was a brand name. I've heard them called bushhog, brushhog, brushcutter, rotary cutters, etc. I think I called it all of the above in the video. Bushhog is easiest to say though, isn't it. Thanks!
People up North say brush, people down South say bush. I’m sure there’s other regional terms you might not be familiar with.
