The pressure washer took some of the paint off the boom cylinder, but other than that, it cleaned up nicely and I planned on painting the cylinders anyways. Stay tuned for more videos of getting this John Deere 35D back in proper order!
Wow what a fun new toy, yet very useful on the 80! You have a great work ethic and not afraid to get dirty to make for clean. Hoping you can take the time to set up good camera shots to watch you put it to work.
Cleaning that had to have been an all day project. Looks a ton better. You are getting a nice set of toys for your place. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
It was a long time, epecially setting up the camera. I'll probably do a follow up video, touching up paint and maybe restoring the black faded plastic. Thanks!
I actually did! I used Super Clean in a little pump sprayer, but that footage was pretty boring so it didn't make the cut 😁 I've also used WD40 and it works great too! Thanks for watching!
Looking good, all you need now is an Air freshener from the Auto parts store...lol.. Take care my friend and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family...
😁 The interior cleaner I used has a really nice cherry smell. When that wears off, I may get a Black Ice Little Tree air freshener. I love how those smell! Good idea! Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas to you too!
You can get cheap aftermarket head units that are plug and play. That blank plate on the right side of the pilot seat removes and it drops in there. I have a 2014 27D I just put one in, literally looks the same inside had the speakers with the blank plate just like yours.
Once I opened it up the connecter was just sitting right there. The head I bought didn’t fit just perfectly without a little weatherstripping to hold it in but it was like a $120 unit. The Deere unit I wanna say was around the $600-$700 mark. CAD that is, but I’ll say the knock off I got I’ve been thoroughly impressed with.

You will have so much fun. The amount of work you will get done is crazy.
keep it clean and it cultivates a mindset of making it last... nice video
Absolutely. I agree!
Looks good! You'll have some fun with that!
Thanks! I'm excited to start using it!
Nice work! Always more enjoyable starting out with a clean machine :)
It sure is! Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I will definitely put it to good use! Thanks for watching!
Great deal and great for your projects. Have a merry Christmas
Thank you! You too!
I’m excited to see the projects you do with that!
Coming soon! 😁
"Perfectly shady enough for me" 😀 Nice channel!
:) Thanks! So far the shady repair isn't leaking, but I haven't really used it yet.

Also use a good degreaser for the grease nippels and engine compartment
looks great so far 👍

Oh that's good to know! Is there a harness under there, or did you have to find the power/ground somewhere else? Thanks!

I have a funny feeling that the previous owner wanted to make sure that the greased areas had plenty of grease on them
There was definitely plenty! 😁
Better than the alternative…
Good👍👍👍
Thanks!
