As an ISFP, Te is the worst. I've only been learning about MBTI for the last few years so now I know I have to make myself use it, but I hate it so much. I finally got a career goal and mustered the Te to start working towards it about a year ago. Then, last month a friend texted me about a job she saw online and told me to apply. I knew it was good. But it would mean using Te to fill out the application and update my resume and find whatever other certificate stuff they needed and put all that in the online form. The dread was so intense I felt like I was walking to my death and I didn't want to do it. I had to consciously tell myself I had to Te, don't Fi. In the end it only took about 15 minutes to apply and couple weeks later I got an interview and a week later I got the job. It's the job I've wanted and in the past I very likely would have missed it because my Fi/Ni would have just thought it was a long shot and I shouldn't put myself through the 15 minutes of stress. So all this to say, I relate to your video and what you said about Te.
As an INTJ who shares all of the ISFP functions, your video helped me understand myself - especially my weaknesses, Fi and Se. Interestingly, my direct co-worker is an ISFP. The more we work together (in the Production industry, no less), the more I can see our strengths and weaknesses balance.
Every time I consider I could have ISFP preferences (I might have an attachment to Fi), I remember my Te is so evident it’s ridiculous to think otherwise. As a child, I lived pretty much in my head and have a very blurry memory of my earlier years as a result. As a teenager I did live in Fi land, but an annoying version of Fi. It’s interesting to notice how the functions develop overtime.
What you said about the third function being overused so much like a child in charge that you can think its your dominant function really explains how i mistyped as both infj and intj until a few days ago… everything makes sense and now i know how to move forward.
I once again, thank you for your great videos 🙏. I’ve recently discovered that I’m an ISFP and previously thought I was an INTJ jumper type. But the more I learnt about the theory something wasn’t right. How could my Te not be used, my Se be good, and Fi so strong? Well now I know and It’s funny that you mention that you can easily mistake your third function for dominant, (like I did).😂
This is eye-opening. I actually combined Se and Ni- I thought I was a Ne dom lmao. Then I had my Fi and Te, so I thought I was an ENFP for a good long time.
I love your videos on the cognitive functions. To me, it’s very helpful when you explain how each function works concerning the type. It is easier to understand how they work within each type, so I can have a broad understanding of them. I do wish you would include a lot more external examples of how the function behaves and how might you pick up on signs that someone is a specific type. So how might each function present itself in a physical and external way that an outsider can pick up on. Like when you say Fe is warm and friendly, or Ti is a bit more awkward. If that makes sense.
So if I have limited use in Ni, is that a good thing and means that I mainly use my Se that I have excellent use of 🤔 and same thing with my Te being average use and my Fi is also excellent use
Where did you get the info on your “light switch” metaphor that you often use when explaining the 2nd and 3rd functions? I personally get the sense that all of my functions are playing and acting on each other synergistically at all times as opposed to turning one “on” or “off,” even if they are considered to be opposites. Just a curious INTP here- I very much enjoy your videos! Xo
hi, do you believe in the four sides of the mind? like cs joseph's? dont really like the way how cs joseph teaches cuz most videos of his are 1 hr long, and just gets me confused. i hope you could learn about it if you believe in it, and you know teach us your way.

Hi Alexis, do you still work one-on-one with people to figure out which MBTI they are? I know you mentioned that in an older video.

As an ISFP currently going through a Fi-Ni loop this video was so eye opening. Thank you so much for your insights, seriously doing god's work

this video is gold, it really resonates with me and makes me understand myself better, thank you
What you said about losing yourself with Ni was so spot on for me. Gotta turn that light switch on 💯
❤ been waiting
awesome series! I'm curious, are you planning to do an updated version of the ISTP? keep it up :)
Coming soon!
That Fi-Ni loop is silent and deadly lol….
You have helped so much thank you !
Yes 👏🏼

Yeah that would be great!
Thank you
If the Meyers-Briggs test methodology is flawed, is there a better test out there that I could take? I might not be an ISFP after all.
🧡
Work on the vocal fry.
Having all these manual labor jobs that we hate instead of setting actual career goals striking such a chord 🥲
Thank you
