The Nutty boys are brilliant every video is a 😆. The Queen didn’t even mind her gaff being used as a backdrop for a live Our House during the celebrations for her 90th birthday!
@@mrblue193 Yes that's right, although it was prompted by an impending birth, as explained by the girl that was born and the writer of the song in this clip ua-cam.com/video/xMQU5btgw78/v-deo.html
Madness - two tone - ska. Big in the UK even today - and still touring to ginormous followings up and down the country. Dig into their catalogue, bro. Check out 'It Must Be Love'
Madness was the fun band of the 80's and they made some great video's to accompany their songs so if you do get the chance to watch the video to this i would highly recommend it.
@@JayveeTV I have said it on a few comments but I am disapointed you did that. You can turn up the volume and so can we but a lyric video, especially that one where it seemed like the person that made was more interested in the cool things they could do than actually showing the lyrics, is a step backward.
Thank you Jayvee for caring about the quality, it does make a big difference. I love that you did that. This song was always just a fun song to sing. Great review... you got it!

The video he missed because is something to actually react to. I can not beleive he actually said he was going to make it better. Baggy Trousers by Madness was the first song I ever bought aged 9 in 1980,they spent more weeks in the U.K. charts than anyone else in the 80's and still going strong
For me, Baggy Trousers was my first ever record and as I have always been a bit OCD, even as a kid, I still have the single in its original sleeve and in perfect condition, it’s quite special to me 😎
I went to a Madness concert in London, and it was in a pretty fancy theatre. At the break, ladies came around selling ice lollies (ice cream on a stick) from a tray that they wore around their necks! It was fantastic, and they played over two hours, and Elvis Costello came out as a surprise to sing on one song. Fun fact, I still have my concert sweatshirt!
Madness is not only talented but they always have fun with their videos and music . Also they have their own sound . Thank you for the reaction and great video :) ✌️
This type of music is called 'Ska' Ska is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae. @King Of The Pipe two-tone was the record label that all the ska revival bands such as The Specials, The Beat, The Selector etc used. Probably a reference to the black and white fashion of the era. Madness soon moved to Stiff records.
Aww, was hoping you could watch the official video, it's so much fun! But YAY for Madness! I was supposed to see them during their 40th Anniversary tour this past spring but of course it got canceled...hopefully things will be better for concerts next year.
Madness were the first band i really loved. I grew up with them. Great review Jay. Grey Day is another great song by them. Their nickname is "The Nutty Boys".
Check out Madness playing Night Boat to Cairo and/or One Step Beyond on The Old Grey Whistle Test. Great songs and you will see the energy in the dancing and the attitude in the clothes. The dancing really kept us fit and as a teenage girl at the time I loved the stylish suits and hats.
M.A.D.N.E.S.S So pleased to finally see someone react to this great band. A few of my favourites are - Shut Up, The Prince, It Must Be Love and Baggy Trousers.
This song and band was huge in England! One Step Beyond has all the instruments and shows their Ska style well. Loved this reaction and your appreciation for the band. Brings back lots of memories from when I was little and dancing with my parents in "our house."
My favourite reaction of yours. I've watched this so many times. I love how much you like this, Madness are a British National Treasure. Glad you liked it. 👍
'Baggy Trousers' next! I appreciate the way you noticed the inferior sound on the video -- seems to happen a lot with these '80s songs. Most other reactors don't care, they just get distracted by the promo-video.
Love Madness....thank you sooo much! One of my very favorite songs in the early 80's (and there was A LOT of good stuff at the time!) Makes me think of a time when life was fun!
I love the line that says ‘there’s always something happening and it’s usually quite loud’ Loads of hits but I love It Must Be Love - incredible cord change as the bridge starts

Always best to listen to Madness with the volume cranked up ;-) My first album Complete Madness, they are still going strong and amazing live. They smashed 'Our House' singing live on top of Buckingham Palace (the Queens house) for her Jubilee celebrations here in the UK. Part of the British Ska movement. They had lots of hits very talented down to earth and summed up the times of their teenage years.Love the way you listen to and talk about the lyrics 👏👏👍🌟✨🎺🎷🥁🎹🎧🥁🎸
Madness are from a suburb of London called Camden and their working class roots shine through in their sound, it's very typically English. An American could cover this song but it wouldn't have the authenticity. Also, if you are going to react to the Video, look for the long version because it has an absolutely hilarious intro of Lead singer Suggs McPherson asking people in the street if they can point him towards "Our house."

This is definitely a band where you need to watch their official videos. They are so much fun, completely daft and very British.
Those vids often have such low volume you cant even jam.

You can tell he didnt grow up in the good MTV video years! This is a fun video..you are correct.
Lol karaoke vid with madness is sacrelage. Watch the official vid aswell they are the nutty boys.
And yet after watching the doco or movie about how they started the pianist was so driven to succeed and wouldn't stand for any crap
