Just an idea with trash drills. I've actually placed succulents in a jar of them and apparently are thriving. I did it as a gift. Don't water it, just spray mist on plant. Bit like an indoor terrarium
As a kid I would put old crayon shavings between a couple pieces of wax paper and use an iron to melt it.. I wonder if the trash drills could be recycled like that? Make a funky abstract colorful picture or coasters or something..
I like to buy Small clear glass ornaments and spray the inside of them with adhesive, then put in the trash diamonds and roll them around till they all stick to the inside glass and they make beautiful sparkly ornaments for the tree.

I’m glad you talked about the drill manufacturer. I did the Bayou Lady and had a lot of trash drills, one color was extremely staticky, and there were many places with some gapping. It’s still a beautiful painting, and I didn’t run out of any colors, though.
Simply beautiful! Kudos to you for finishing such a large painting! Not sure I could have stuck with it. My biggest to date was the White Tiger one which I believe was 40cm. X 60cm. I currently feel that was big enough for me. It would have to be something truly magical for me to consider doing anything larger. What a wonderful idea to donate it where such a work of art will be appreciated. Thank you for sharing.

Id like to point out that the picture looks like a take on Disney's pocahontas. She got the knock off name without the brand BUT her face, her armband somewhat her outfit and if you look on the right side bout halfway down it looks like 2 people in a canoe n one pointing like an explorer. Theres a sun shape above that. Theres so many resemblances i see. I LOVE that picture so i mean this in the best way... Just an observation. It probably also could be named colors of the wind... Love the vids btw can't wait to start one.
Since I'm working on my very first DP I wonder if I have enough of each color to "trash" a few that just drop or are actual trash and I'm amazed at how many left over drills you actually have!! I love that you are donating this beautiful painting to your library. I am learning so much from you!!!
Yes, you should have between 20-30% extra diamonds. If you run out, the company will usually send replacements. If not, there are lots of us out there willing to send them to you :)
I thought bout saving al my trash drills and making a picture with them so you have different shapes and colours designing a kind of picture then putting similar colours together

Beautiful finish! I am thinking of using my trash drills as fillers for table lamps or outside lanterns that you can put candles (electric ones for me) inside of them. Just a thought. xoxo 💜

My DAC finally shipped today, (A King's Path) and I'm really excited to get to it. Would you think there's a risk of getting any old stock of these "different manufactured drills" or did they pull the old drill stock when they found the issues?

This is a gorgeous canvas!!! Is there a reason why you roll it with the drills facing out while working on it or storing it? Also I'm working on my second ever canvas and I got it from diamond art club, it's my first with square drills and I'm having trouble with the drills not fitting properly. Some leave gaps while others pop up no matter how many times I push them down. I have contacted them and as you said they have the guarantee and will send more drills but I was thinking of sorting through the worst of them. The darkest colors seem to have the issue with popping and they send so many 310s I was going to sort through them and the others to see if there is enough good ones to finish it with. I do believe I bought a rather large one for my second canvas, its 47x87cm. Being new at this I don't know if I should just take the new drills or sort through the ones I have for both issues, gapping and popping in the different colors. It's the waste of all the drills that bothers me. What would you recommend to do? 🤔🤔
Hi Angela! if you roll them in, they will push up against each other and pop off the canvas. If you roll outward, they have plenty of room and won't pop. Sort through them would be my advice. If you're stuck, send me a message and I'm sure we can find extras to send if the DAC ones aren't enough (I'm sure they will have no problem helping).

Actually I have seen a video of someone decorating a frame for a picture with the drills and a couple of pieces of furniture too

Yes you can, but I have only sold them at local craft markets.
