    Thank you!!! You were the first person to tell me what type of paint to use. I I assumed it with oil-based but I wasn't sure.

    I have a friend whose son did this with his little sister.
    After he dipped her and the paint dried, he put two clear coats on her and she turned out great.

    Not a fan of the skull itself =) but the whole idea and such is really awesome! The skull came out really nice also! I've seen other videos before where they use some sort of "film" to do the exact same thing, mostly for specific artwork.
    But for those times when you just want awesome colors like this, then this certainly is a cool and easy way to do it! Really nice! =)

      @alphajakeskills 8 років тому

      +Chris Fredriksson Many people do Car/Motorcycle parts, basically anything you can fit into the biggest tub you got can work. It's super sweet it's called hydro dipping. Another thing you might want to look into if you like that kind of stuff would be Plasti Dip.

  • @danvondrasek
    @danvondrasek 8 років тому

    Look into Bondage tape, or self kicking silicone tape. Either of those will give a way tighter seal than e-tape, and theyre both cheaper. Bondage tape is even reusable

    • @danvondrasek
      @danvondrasek 8 років тому

      +DannyWarlegs youll also get better results by swaying it as you move it, like you were saying with chasing the paint, keep it slowly moving in a diagonal, you get better patterns.

      do you have to use cool ir warm water? does it make a difference to the type of spray paint. i just bought six cans which would make a blue camo skull. i might try it just based on what i saw you do in this video, but i wasnt sure if there was some kind of trick to it all?

    • @hoosierhornshoofs3088

      Oil based enamel in room temperature water. Might mix in a cup of Borax, it helps the paint float

  • @hraban64

    Love the video. I noticed it appears to flurrying outside while you are doing this. How warm was the water you were using?? I am about to do 2 skulls. Wasn't sure if cold water or warm water would work better. I live in WI and it is around 35-40 degrees out right now. Just wondering what you recommend. Love the colors you picked. Thanks in advance.

    Hey there boss man‼️
    Awesome video, I love the color scheme‼️
    Quick question.
    Do I have to get the skull completely white if I plan to hydro dip it❓
    I saw a video where this guy was using all types of chemicals to make a really bright white skull.

      Don't use primer. That is used to keep metal from rusting under the paint. Use Adhesion promoter. It is like a glue for paint. It works way better than primer.
