This is a great example of why upgrading is such a pain. Best thing to do in my opinion is to setup a system and get it working. Keep it where its at for as long as possible. New version of whatever comes out with all these bells and whistles that didnt stop you from making music before then theres no need to upgrade. Eventually I'm sure upgrading will have to happen but I say keep what you have until it stops working

Hello! I am having an issue after upgrading to studio one 6, while mixing I noticed that once I add my plug ins they are working fine! But after I rewind every now and then even though my plug ins are ON, the sound gets really light and I have to turn them off then turn them back on?! It’s so strange and frustrating I’ve never had this issue before upgrading. I’m getting stressed out. Has this ever happened to you? Or can someone please give me some pointers on what I can do to fix this. Thank you!

When I use my new acustica audio plugins and load up the channel strips they pop up in studio one way oversized. The plugin wont allow me to grab it with my curser to drag it so it becomes smaller any tips to help solve this problem?
Hi guys ! I have an issue really weird ! I work on pc windows 10, studio one 5.2, and the problem is for Sonic Academy Ana 2.098 ! I recently bought a new computer so I had to reinstall all the vst and in my old computer I wasn't able to run my session so I disable some plugins ! When I open back in my new pc everything work find, kontakt etc.. I reanable all the plugins but just one doesnt work and Its ANA 2 and I really don't understand why ! When I load a new instance of Ana its working fine !! I wish you can help !
Hey so I'm having problem with my studio One 5.4 ever since I updated when I go to open the daw the mouse arrow is stuck loading I can still open files but I can't play them or record and it's glitching. I have a i7 processor with 32 GB of RAM and one tb ssd I haven't used a quarter of my memory yet and I checked the CPU status and it's not using a lot of it all my other apps are closed and they all work perfect fine even my FL studio I think it might be a plug-in or the plugins cuz ever since I updated it it looks like there's more plugins on the daw that might be slowing daw. You think you can help me?
My mastering the mix plugins do not work Anemone in studio one 5. They did work in the past and still work well in other DAWs on the same computer. Has anybody the same issues? I have contacted mastering the mix and presonus but they could not help me.
It is good to see another fellow S1 user who is paying close attention to GUI issues like lag, jitter and sluggish redraw problems. I love S1 and think it has IMMENSE potential. I started attempting to use it early on, but kept leaving because of so many GUI problems. It is starting to feel like they have almost ironed things out. I can’t with this. I downloaded plug ins from slate digital. And it’s in my downloaded files. But when I go to locations on Studio one , then add , I go to the downloads section ( that’s where the plugins are) it only shows the old plugins that I haven’t added yet. I need help please !
The problem I'm having is, despite my plug-ins showing up in the list, AU specifically, when I load a session created with version 4, v5 lists certain plug-ins used on existing tracks as "not installed".🤔🙄😕😐😑 This occurs with plug ins from different manufacturers. However, I am able to drag and drop new instances of the "not installed" plug-ins on the same track(s).🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ Very frustrating.🙄😕😔

Just to point it out, I love the Waves plugins, but the $240 voucher from Waves is not the same as the voucher from Plugin Alliance: you have to spend more money to use it. I am running a PC, Pro Studio 1 user with softube console1 and fader port, I have two visual monitors, one is a touch screen. I have some issues with the softube, one is that after about 1 to 2 hours the overlay display program they use freezes up and it has to be restarted. Another issue is the automation, it automates everything which is irritating and I tried shutting off only the ones I need like Vol and pan but if you use the solo button on any of the devices it automatically adds solo automation which is very irritating. So I try not use any of those functions on those devices and It looks like I will only use the softube fader 1 for mixing levels. The Softube console is nice, it would be nice if the studio 1 program console would synche up visually though when making adjustments for confirmation. Overall the softube system seems buggy. As far as Studio one goes my only gripe so far is that the editing screen does not have the movement resolution that audacity has or Cakewalk. Meaning you can't select a point without it making you select a point within there resolution.
Hi Dave, what I gathered from the video is that in EZDrummer 2 you are still seeing some lag, albeit maybe not as bad. I am on Mojave, and I don't want to move to Catalina if I don't have to. Did you see enough of an improvement to justify the upgrade regarding EZDrummer?
Alrighty, so upgrading to S1 5 might not be a good idea if I'm using High Sierra!? Updating Mac OS is always kind of scary, and sometimes poses a bunch of other software updates as well (just like you had to do). Not sure I want to go there right now. That stinks. I really want to update to 5. Idk, maybe I'll try it soon.

Maybe on your end, but I'm still having problems on just putting in my stock EQ. or anything stock. I put it on a channel and it freezes!!! SUPER FRUSTRATING. And I'm in Catalina on my MAC
In version 4.6 firemaster by united plugins worked well but now version 5 it doesn’t even move or resize it. I have to toggle optional view to remove it. Firecobra by united plugins seems to work well without any problems
The people at Presonus is always soooooo NICE, they are so freaking nice and dedicated. I had a big mayor issue, and they help me out like it was for yesterday and they super professional. Thats why they are the best to me

As I said before, Superior Drummer has a problem in so much as the audio is latency compensated but the graphics are not. This was evident in S1v4. Toontrack have been aware of this for some time but (between Toontrack & Presonus) the problem has not been addressed!

I’m not bashing either Toontrack or Presonus, I’ve been using their software for many years and have a lot invested in them but direct communication has proved fruitless. Your channel carries more weight than my individual murmurings, so I’m pointing out a topic related and legitimate problem I’ve encountered for you, your viewers and if they’re watching, the software developers consideration. Easy answers akin to ‘if you don’t like it go elsewhere’ are not helpful, perhaps you had a bad day - I’ll not mention the issue again. Regards and keep up the good work.

Glad u got most issues sorted, shame it cost money to get there however. Mac audio users have been thro a rocky road recently, I'm hoping for some stability but I fear with ARM processors coming in its gonna create more obstacles/incompatibilities. :(

I have nothing but issues with slate FGX and Superior drummer 3. Pretty much unusable. Very frustrating especially when considering moving from Pro Tools. Pro Tools has no issues with these plug ins. ....Mac Pro Mojave with Studio One 6.
Same happened to me with waves. I was so mad at waves with this upgrade bullshit. However, I knew it wasn't studio one because I use other days for reference.
i bought AIR Instrument Expansion Pack 3 Complete installed fx & instruments into presonus plugins folder, nothing shows up in the daw except the build in presonus plugins. frustrating!!
Are you using the "Artist" or Pro Version of Studio One? You can not use 3rd party plugins with the Artists version, at least that is the way it has always been in the past. You need to check with Presonus on that
Just a thing. 32 bit plugins will not even run on 64 bit DAW. 32 bit Plugins are basically a thing of the past. Your problem was not 32 bit plugins. :) Just thought of sharing this. But good descriptive video.
Someone in your collab requires a paid sphere sub, that's the account the files exist within. Anyone else can collab for free within that group, they just need a Presonus account, not sphere sub.
As said, if you have a subscription to Sphere ou pay, but you don't need that subscription when you want to collaborate with someone who has that already you don't need to have your own workspace. It's always good to read.
Happy you got things working bud. I'm happy with version 5 but as far as Waves goes I've uninstalled the lot and have no intention of ever buying anything from them again very convienent that it seems upgrading the plugins makes things work, but obviously you have to pay again for the privilege. Disgraceful business plan. I'll do without. Love Studio One though!! :)
I agree wroth you and believe me, if I was not an educator where I need to have all these plugins I would do the same thing. For me, its the cost of business and a business expense. If I was only doing this for myself I would only have U/A, Slate and maybe some P/A plugins and thats it

No. it seems to be the same on both Mojave and Catilina. I would say go with SSD5. Far better than EZ drummer and works perfectly on both OSX

I hear you but that wont be for 2-3 years before Apple moves to their processors. I have a new Imac Pro so I am good for at least 5 years.

this why i focus on stock plugins..if not i just get one 3rd party bundle and im done. i dont need 20 EQ's 30 compressors and so on 😁 just give me one good one..i love simplicity and im OCD besides im a WINDOW 10 USER
You are right....you don't need 20 EQ's etc. I say this ALL THE TIME on my channel.

I have nothing but issues with slate FGX and Superior drummer 3. Pretty much unusable. Very frustrating especially when considering moving from Pro Tools. Pro Tools has no issues with these plug ins. ....Mac Pro Mojave with Studio One 6.
Could be your OSX. Mojave is pretty old at this point. I would try contacting Slate to see what they say

Same happened to me with waves. I was so mad at waves with this upgrade bullshit. However, I knew it wasn't studio one because I use other days for reference.

i bought AIR Instrument Expansion Pack 3 Complete installed fx & instruments into presonus plugins folder, nothing shows up in the daw except the build in presonus plugins. frustrating!!
Are you using the "Artist" or Pro Version of Studio One? You can not use 3rd party plugins with the Artists version, at least that is the way it has always been in the past. You need to check with Presonus on that

Just a thing. 32 bit plugins will not even run on 64 bit DAW.
32 bit Plugins are basically a thing of the past. Your problem was not 32 bit plugins. :) Just thought of sharing this. But good descriptive video.

Someone in your collab requires a paid sphere sub, that's the account the files exist within.
Anyone else can collab for free within that group, they just need a Presonus account, not sphere sub.
As said, if you have a subscription to Sphere ou pay, but you don't need that subscription when you want to collaborate with someone who has that already you don't need to have your own workspace. It's always good to read.

Happy you got things working bud. I'm happy with version 5 but as far as Waves goes I've uninstalled the lot and have no intention of ever buying anything from them again very convienent that it seems upgrading the plugins makes things work, but obviously you have to pay again for the privilege. Disgraceful business plan. I'll do without. Love Studio One though!! :)
I agree wroth you and believe me, if I was not an educator where I need to have all these plugins I would do the same thing. For me, its the cost of business and a business expense. If I was only doing this for myself I would only have U/A, Slate and maybe some P/A plugins and thats it
