    I love your " bloopers" . You sisters must have a wonderful mother or elder that taught you very well. I'm a new subscriber and am enjoying your videos. I also enjoy Anna's.

    Add maple flavoring or vanilla flavoring to it, delicious

    Oh No! That’s the kind of mess I make…lol I hope it cleaned up easily. I was one of the ones that saw the mock Maple Syrup…maybe a couple of drops of Maple syrup extract would do the trick…add to the smell along with the sweetness. At any rate it’s a good use of the corn cobs.

      It wasn’t tooooo bad to clean up. Once the heat from the flame burnt it, then it chipped off. Lol 😂 good tip! Thank you!

    make your own brown sugar. 1 cup of white sugar with 1 tab. of molasses. Put more molasses in it to make it dark. simple surprised you don't do that. Gonna have to try this.

    Hey so I have made this before after watching Rachel's video a couple years ago....I am making it again and thought I would look for more videos, found yours. After watching your's , can you tell me did your syrup crystallized? I guess you only had one pint, I had more and canned them and put them on the shelf. Mine crystallized. I thought I cooked my down too much, and you cooked yours down way more than I did. Just wondering if you have made more or an update.

      Very cool. Mine did not crystallize. I fact, we didn’t use all of it and it was still very good a year later! (In the fridge) I have not made any more because we didn’t use it like I thought I would.

    I was wondering if there is an actual recipe somewhere for this? Like is there a ratio for corn cob liquid per cups of sugar?

      @hamakua.homestead  Рік тому +1

      Not that I am aware of… I really did just follow what Rachel did. She said 20-30 cobs and enough water to cover them. Then after it’s reduced add 5-6 cups brown sugar.
      I hope this helps a bit 💜

    Hi, you shouldn't use the "peace symbol" because it's actually a broken cross and occult symbol, use the white pigeon instead, Thanks!
