Casey, I know you have gone on to other things. I want to know how much I appreciated your videos over the years. I can't thank you enough. I got off my porch and got out in the wilderness with the big boys. Best wishes for what ever new paths you choose. Many thanks George Richter
we ever gonna get an explanation or na? ofc work or health is more important but this channel built some solid connections in the pnw overland community.
This is, IMO, one of the best overlanding channels on UA-cam. He takes a reasonable approach to a hobby I love so much in an area where other "overlanders" are so over the top. Come back to us!
Hope it’s not the end of your UA-cam channel, Casey. Miss watching your adventures. Your channel is my favorite. Wishing you all the best. Hope to see you again.
hey buddy miss your adventures. my wife and i are planning ours , travelling western Australia in our retirement , you are an inspiration , take care of you.
Casey, it's great to see you keeping up with Grandpa's truck. I'm sure he would be super happy with that. What a cool place and super close by to your home to get it checked out. Can't wait to see you camping in it again!
A fine looking grandpa and he did right by you teaching you the ways of the outdoors. Looking forward to your next video and I hope you get the pickup back soon and ready for more adventures.
Another big advantage of an older rig is you don't worry so much about that next scratch or dent. You know it will happen again, so eventually you get to that, "Oh well." spot and it doesn't hurt so much. I recently hit a deer where it crunched the left front fender, and left creases in both driver's side doors. I replaced the fender, and said, "Oh well" to the rest. It's hard to get very off road without a few bumps and scrapes.
Hope all is well Casey, miss seeing you, might just have to go back and start watching from the beginning, at least knowing you’re alive would be nice haha
Great seeing you and your grandpa’s truck. It is special and sentimental for you indeed. The first Coyote Works video I ever watched was “Old School Truck Camping.” Been hooked ever since. I’ve been running the SofTopper on my 2021 GMC Sierra for 2 years and I find it to be a great budget option for me. Take care and thanks Casey.
Nice to see you in your Grandpa's truck. I personally really like those older trucks less electronics and less problems. The LS motor is a awesome proven motor. Every once in a while they will have a Hydraulic roller lifter failure other than that they are about perfect.
Very nice to see the old girl getting some attention, Casey! Great to have you back at it as well. I also drive an older rig. Not Grandpa's but I did buy it new and with 361,000 on the clock I know too well how important maintenance is. My 2003 Ram 2500 CTD is my daily driver and camping rig. Thanks again buddy!
I'm the original owner of a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins diesel with 135k miles. I was considering getting rid of it for something newer... But after watching, I'm keeping it !!!! Thank you !!??
One of my favorite spots up in the hills around Prineville was the overlook for Stein's Pillar up Mill Creek Road. I learned it was once a sacred area to the Shoshoni. Great truck and a great little drive!
Caught this video little late but it's good to see you and grampas truck again Casey. Beginning of the video you were sitting in your house and you have the painted saw still up on the wall. That's very cool. Take care Casey and still planning for next year.
Great to see you back again Casey. I have two older vehicles that I run. One is my 2015 Toyota 4runner which is a great blend of modern and older tech. The other is a 1995 Jeep YJ. Both are similar but very different in a lot of ways. The 4runner eats up the highway miles whereas the YJ is for more local adventures. I'm looking forward to more vids from you.
Totally on board with the older rigs. I've got a 2002 Suburban Z71 4X4 with 223K. Runs perfect, everything works, can fix most things myself. I can get parts anywhere, I love it.
Okay, something is not good. I would be happy to have this many followers. But life is life and makes unexpected turns. We understand this. Hope you find back to these wonderful expeditions into the wastelands in search of traces of the elders.
Nice. I have a 1999 GMC Suburban that I bought new, it only has 90,000 miles on it. They upgraded the pickup trucks' styling first so your '99 is the newer style and my '99 is the previous body style. All black, Rhino-lined roof, safari rack on top, winch bumper, ladder, always garaged; it's my baby. I get offers on it all the time. I hope to drive out some time from Omaha and meet up with your group for one of your open invitation trips.
Vernlander back on the road and Casey, the lost sheep, has returned! Older rigs are simpler, more reliable if not clapped out, and best of all, paid for. The man at the shop recommended more lighting. Believe it or not, you only need lighting in the dark! You are usually in camp before dark. So I would avoid the added complexity of extra lighting. Every extra switch and inch of wiring is a threat to reliability. Battlefield conditions favor simplicity. I have always thought this lighting fetish appeared about when they started televising the Baja 1000. Soon every "dad truck" in suburban driveways had light bars and grill lights. Keep those hard-earned frog skins in your pocket and avoid extra lighting unless you really need it.
Awesome dude! Thanks for making a new video. I built up a GMT800, 6.0L built transmission, built transfer case, etc etc etc... same chassis as you have. I need to document my build video. Just put in a custom alternator, had a custom ground cam for climbing
Don't know for sure what happened to Casey, but sure do miss his videos. From what little I can piece together he appears to have gotten a promotion in his real world job and took on significant new responsibilities. Time and privacy may be the issue.
Casey, I know you have gone on to other things. I want to know how much I appreciated your videos over the years. I can't thank you enough. I got off my porch and got out in the wilderness with the big boys. Best wishes for what ever new paths you choose. Many thanks George Richter
No more coyote works vids?
Yeah what's up? What did I miss? have we been abandoned?@@SeanStewart88

Agreed. Hope he does come back with some more content.
Hope it’s not the end of your UA-cam channel, Casey. Miss watching your adventures. Your channel is my favorite. Wishing you all the best. Hope to see you again.
Nothing better than a Paid For vehicle! Your grandpa would be proud! Been watching you for years. Timmy C Arizona

Sorry for the miss spelling of my Yukon. I just get excited talking about it. Hopefully I can overland someday.
Hell Casey, I thought the Coyotes had got ya!! Always good to see what you're up too. Lol
My son just left Prineville yesterday. He was visiting a friend who he served with in the Marine Corp. I really enjoy your videos.
You drove right by my Uncles house heading over to the shop, saw it out the side window.
I remember you showing this truck .
That is a good truck. Theyvwere still good back then .
Good to know you’re doing well and grandpa’s truck is getting a little TLC. I’m looking forward to more camping trips with grandpa’s truck.

The truck in itself is great but the real thing is it belonged to your Grandpa that makes it priceless! Glad to see you posting videos again!!

Definitely do not need a shiny new rig to get out and about. You hit the nail on the head with the cost.
love the older truck, mine is a 07ram4x4

Thanks Casey, didn't know these guys were in Prineville! As much time as we spend in the Ochoco's it's inevitable we will need them at some point!

Jamie/Sarah.
When are we going to See footage of the overlanding trip
Undercover with Joe Jitsu, hunting Mumbles in the vast wildernesses of the Wild West.
I personally prefer the videos featuring the Jeep.
Let’s really make it off-road worthy with a @tahoverlanding axle swap!
