Love Brevard NC...I Fly fish in the area and have been many times. O.P. Taylors is one of the most amazing Toy Stores you will ever visit. There used to be an old book store I liked to browse in, but it's closed now. I also heard the rumor about the College being a great place to view a White Squirrel; spent a good bit of time there and never saw a single one. "The Hub" is a great stop for Mountain bikers...Davidson River Outfitters is a great stop for Fly Fishermen. Mantiques is an interesting store. A block over from the street you were on, there is "Mikes"...a cafe that serves Italian food / pizza.
There are lots of white squirrels around Franklin Park where you went. They are the very same squirrels as the common grey squirrels just with a white coat variant. They are not albinos and most have a small grey patch on the back of the head or even a streak down the back. Whites can be born to greys or be a part of a mixed litter of both whites and greys. There are other places in the US that have white squirrels, but not in the numbers that we have in Brevard. Thank you for this lovely video of our beautiful town.
Not gonna lie, I was debating if I wanted to give up a little details on The Looking Glass Waterfall but you can swim in the water under the waterfall not too deep maybe 5 feet absolute max. I love, love looking glass. Its my happy place.
I was just in Brevard this past weekend. When I tell you, I’ve never in life met so many sweet and nice people. Very welcoming town. I saw looking glass falls, white squirrels etc… definitely a trip to go back to
Thanks, man!! It was a pretty fun day, I must say. That water fall is really cool. We want to back again sometime. There is a lot more to see in that area.
I was so surprised when you went to whistle stop, I grew up in Brevard and me and my friend lived it the neighborhood up on the mountain next door and we would always shop there. That brings back so many memories!
It's called High Falls Covered Bridge. Technically, it's in Hendersonville. It's about 15 miles outside of Brevard. It's a cool bridge but I was a bit disappointed to find out it wasn't a historic bridge. It's at Dupont State Recreation Forest. There are walking trails and a nice waterfall there as well so it's worth a look. Thanks for watching!!
Very nice video thanks for sharing all the cool stops and sights. Going today for brevard tubing on the french broad river.
Nice!! We hope you had fun! We enjoy Brevard quite a bit. Thank you for watching!

Where did you find a covered bridge?

There's a covered bridge in SC called Campbell's covered bridge
Very cool video. How cold was the water at the falls?
Thank you! The water was chilly but not freezing. It felt pretty good actually!
My dad shot and killed a white squirrel in Pike County IL way back in the day. He had it stuffed and that thing sat in my bedroom for at least a year.
Aww, poor squirrel and poor you! Lol. I read that they are protected now. You can't harm, them trap them, etc. They really are quite beautiful!
great video. Brevard is one of the next spots my wife and I want to visit in our new state.
It's a fun little town! It's a nice relaxing time. We're looking forward to going back. Thanks for watching!!
