I commented on an earlier video: Hanging Rock. You seem to like hiking; my wife and I met at Mt. Rogers, which is adjacent to Grayson Highlands State Park. Lots of trails, Headwaters of several trout streams, horse trails, wild camping as well as paid camping. After 25 years it is my favorite place year round.
Driving up from S.FL a few times during the summer, Brevard is the perfect getaway from the heat. After a 10 hr drive, DuPont is always my first stop to stretch the legs (and 8 paws). Amazing hiking nearby in Pisgah......yes, Looking Glass Rock is one of my fav's, Daniel Ridge nearby is also nice then a little north to Blue Ridge for Black Balsam which is still my #1
Staying at Pilot Cove with my 11yp Amstaff this October. Sadly this may be our last adventure. Gonna take it slow and enjoy my time with my bestie. This has been really helpful. Heading from NJ and nicer been so thank you!
Great Video Maddy! My husband and I are taking our kids and two doggies to Brevard for a few days to go chase some waterfalls for spring break! I’m really looking forward to it and especially with all your suggestions in hand 👏
Thanks for the excellent information!!! I've been wanting to go hiking in this area. I moved here from Biloxi, Mississippi 2 years ago after marrying a woman from Asheville. Looking forward to this trip!!! Thanks again!!!
Square Root's food is so amazing. Oskar Blues has a great atmosphere, although my guys like the taste of Brevard Brewery beer (downtown) better. Voscovo Italian downtown is outstanding as well
I've been wanting to see Looking Glass Falls and Moore Cove Falls for years but avoided it because of crowds. I decided to go yesterday (8/28) because it was a wet "dreary" morning. It was a great time to see those popular sites. You can actually get some photos without strangers in your shot!
Great video! Thanks for all the info. Also, which dog boots did you get? Headed there in a couple months and want to make sure that we’re all prepared. Thank you!
