Ngl, I like the smell of skunk oil. I'm in the PNW and it's a pretty common thing to smell in the fall and winter. It's weirdly nostalgic to me. The hemp would seemingly go well with skunk as they share some notes.

This collection was the first time I missed getting a sample set as they sold so quickly. I know blind buying ALD isn’t really risky as I’m sure I’d love them all but it’s still better to sample first 😢

I got Cuirtis and it does remind me of War and Peace. In the dry down of Cuirtis, maybe you didn't get there in your review, the Animalic castoreum becomes heavy. Even more than War and Peace. I'm getting a 1.5 ml of Antiquity. Glad I will be able to finally try it.
I've been studying Creme de la Creme for a possible purchase in the future. Thanks for your review, as I feel it's accurate, and makes me lean towards a purchase, Ram. I love the heavy hitters, but I have War and Peace, Curtis, Ottoman Empire... But t I like great herbal frags as well. Dior Granville us my signature for Summer and #1 green frag. I liked Al Majmua the best from Attar collection. So I am shopping for a great Areej that's not one of the heavy hitters. Would like Indolis or Whalima. Maybe Creme de la Creme, would fit as, "now for something completely different", as Monty Python used to say .. I like a great sandalwood, Creed Boise Portugal is my #1 sandalwood.
I can see the use of heavy florals in paradise soil , forbidden flower ! But I believe that’s the way it should be ! His goal was to do a complete composition and not just to make animalic bombs ! I got Anubis after listening to the first interview and loved it. Now I own two other ones and can’t wait to try the new one.
I have the full set of bottles and Creme de la Creme seemed soft and underwhelming on my wrist, but when I wore it it completely blew me away...surrounded in a cloud of bliss all day and the dry down is so complex because a cherry cola tobacco vibe comes out all in this mystical aura of salt . It is similar to Roja's Kingdom of Bahrain in that it combines sage, Ambergris and Oud and has a semi-gormand dry down, although KB has a lot of citrus in the opening.
Ahhggg. Yup,that's how I do people like that too. Civet de Nuit had vintage civet in it. I thought it would have been more like Kouros. Now we know. Honestly, if Russian Adam came out with an uber civet, musk and oud, people would complain because it was unwearable. Going to pick up Cuirtis.

I love the house but hate their shipping, I am in EU and they struggle to send, and now will have to wait for the full set from Indonesia, its frustrating seeing people get their set in 3 to 4 days in EU and its been 2 weeks for them to only say they cannot ship for wtv reason and need to wait god knows however long.
Yeah I hear ya... in the grand scheme of things though as long as you get your bottles I would be happy .. these will be collector items in the future 💪🐏
Ramsey, I have a question? I have only smelled Russian Oud from Areej. I have a bottle and quite like it. I am very much into ambery scents and don’t mind sweetness mixed with resinous bases. I don’t mind a little animalic, but not an overdose. I’m thinking Crème is the best one of this collection for me. I also Have never smelt real ambergris and am interested in that. I don’t have time to sample(and they’ve sold out lol). With the little description I gave which do you think would best suite my taste? Also do you know if you have to pay any import fees when you buy a bottle from Areej or is that included in shipping cost at checkout? I’m in the USA. I got my Russian Oud back when Luckyscent used to carry some of his offerings. Going to try for a bottle🤷♂️🤷♂️
None of these are super animalic but Royal Barn & Cuirtis are the more animalic to me....but I think you will like Creme de la Creme I don't think you pay import taxes or fees but not 100% sure

Hello, Ramsey. I purchased and received today 1 bottle of Areej le Doré Cuirtis. I just got back at home from work and saw a parcel on my concrete pavement behind the fence (05.04.2024). It was from Omar Le from Netherlands… I have opened the parcel on a video. It’s a bottle of Cuirtis, the black box with letters C&T is damaged from falling to concrete pavement, but the bottle looks good, not crashed. In the parcel box there wasn’t any protection inside, only one sheet of A4 paper. I’m shocked from this DHL delivery, it’s absolutely awful. I will tell this in our video. We’ll try to film it on this Saturday of Sunday. And the tracking number is different than I received in email from Areej le Doré, but the name and address are mine. I have no any notifications on my phone or e-mail about that this parcel is delivered to me, no one called or wrote me from delivery company…

It reminds me a bit of some old leather chypres like Rogue Chypre-Siam, Knize Ten, also has some vibe like in Antaeus and Areej Cuir de Russie. I love your videos Ramsey. Your passion, charisma, and objectivity always shines through in your content. However, you do seem to lose the objectivity a little when it comes to Areej Le Dore 😉 Fragrance is subjective and I don’t doubt your love and enthusiasm for Russian Adam’s work. However, the way in which his fragrances are marketed and sold is genius from Adam’s perspective but shockingly unfair on customers. If Amouage deployed the same marketing techniques you would crucify them 🤣 Customers should be afforded the time to sample and critique before deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on a full bottle. However, sample sets are in short supply and are usually sold out within seconds. The only way to try his fragrances is via a very risky & expensive blind buy. Even that requires an incredible amount of good fortune. I have blind bought most of Adam’s releases in the last 2-3 years and have mostly been left disappointed. Beauty & the Beast and Siberian Musk are among the few winners but I have arrived at the conclusion that this brand is overhyped and overrated. I would take a mainstream niche house over Areej any day. Cheers!
You got a point here, however I mostly loved the classic collection apart from 0eIV. From this collection they seem a bit meh but the only ones I liked are cuirtis and cdlc
The difference is Amouage has never worked with real musk...how can an ingredient so rare have unlimited bottles sitting on the shelf for everyone to try? He is also a one man shop Last point is if a big house ever got into this market they would buy the whole supply or drive prices through the roof once they bought the whole supply and no one else could get any real siberian musk let's say When it comes to work with real Oud / Real Musk / Real Ambergris it's all give and take Look at ensars new Lion Lust... 2600 dollars for one bottle I am happy with what Adam is doing personally it's not 100 % fair (there are still bottles I can't get that are my all time favorites) but it's as fair as can be IMHO
@@RamseytheRamFair enough mate. We all have our opinions and you make some fair arguments. I just look at other one man/woman operators such Bortnikoff, Prin, Papillon, Ensar, Et al. They all seem capable of producing quality artisanal fragrances that are readily available for purchase. Musk Khabib for instance uses real musk and has been available for years. Bortnikoff also sells sample sets on his website. Perhaps Adam could continuously crank out his best work in the same fashion, obviously with the caveat that the scents may change slightly from batch to batch. You touched on this in your livestream. Since the divorce, he's lost considerable weight. He's the head IT Director of a company. His house is clean and he's fun to be around again. She was a dirty bird in all its meanings.
After saying all that i'm rolling the dice and going for a Cuirtis bottle, ha... my main point was Russian Adam's work used to spectacular, but now it's more like very good, and if you ranked all his work, the last few collections would easliy be at the bottom of the pile for the majority of fans. PS, not wanting to spread misinformation, i got it a little mixed up about the 'musk duck' the scent gland isn't on their head, it's on their rump, and the males rub musk oil onto their head and bill lobe. Now, i just need to find a trapper in Australia to milk some ducks 😂

In terms of Jasmine and Oud, how would you rate Oud Jasmine by Royal Crown? The most realistic and opulent jasmine I've ever smelled.
Never smelled it...but I doubt it's anywhere near the jasmine in an ALD or Feel Oud
Trust me my friend, give it a try. Royal Crown is an amazing house.

Hello, Ramsey. I purchased and received today 1 bottle of Areej le Doré Cuirtis. I just got back at home from work and saw a parcel on my concrete pavement behind the fence (05.04.2024). It was from Omar Le from Netherlands… I have opened the parcel on a video. It’s a bottle of Cuirtis, the black box with letters C&T is damaged from falling to concrete pavement, but the bottle looks good, not crashed. In the parcel box there wasn’t any protection inside, only one sheet of A4 paper. I’m shocked from this DHL delivery, it’s absolutely awful.
I will tell this in our video. We’ll try to film it on this Saturday of Sunday.
And the tracking number is different than I received in email from Areej le Doré, but the name and address are mine.
I have no any notifications on my phone or e-mail about that this parcel is delivered to me, no one called or wrote me from delivery company…
Thanks for sharing ... I know he uses different distribution centers all over the world... maybe they didn't do a good job packing and shipping it to you
@@RamseytheRam Yeah, the shipping this time was a sad experience unfortunately. But I really enjoy Cuirtis for the last 2 hours, I did 4 sprays. It reminds me a bit of some old leather chypres like Rogue Chypre-Siam, Knize Ten, also has some vibe like in Antaeus and Areej Cuir de Russie. I love all of them 😄 Dmitry

I love your videos Ramsey. Your passion, charisma, and objectivity always shines through in your content. However, you do seem to lose the objectivity a little when it comes to Areej Le Dore 😉
Fragrance is subjective and I don’t doubt your love and enthusiasm for Russian Adam’s work. However, the way in which his fragrances are marketed and sold is genius from Adam’s perspective but shockingly unfair on customers. If Amouage deployed the same marketing techniques you would crucify them 🤣
Customers should be afforded the time to sample and critique before deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on a full bottle. However, sample sets are in short supply and are usually sold out within seconds. The only way to try his fragrances is via a very risky & expensive blind buy. Even that requires an incredible amount of good fortune. I have blind bought most of Adam’s releases in the last 2-3 years and have mostly been left disappointed. Beauty & the Beast and Siberian Musk are among the few winners but I have arrived at the conclusion that this brand is overhyped and overrated. I would take a mainstream niche house over Areej any day. Cheers!
You got a point here, however I mostly loved the classic collection apart from 0eIV. From this collection they seem a bit meh but the only ones I liked are cuirtis and cdlc
The difference is Amouage has never worked with real musk...how can an ingredient so rare have unlimited bottles sitting on the shelf for everyone to try? He is also a one man shop
Last point is if a big house ever got into this market they would buy the whole supply or drive prices through the roof once they bought the whole supply and no one else could get any real siberian musk let's say
When it comes to work with real Oud / Real Musk / Real Ambergris it's all give and take
Look at ensars new Lion Lust... 2600 dollars for one bottle
I am happy with what Adam is doing personally it's not 100 % fair (there are still bottles I can't get that are my all time favorites) but it's as fair as can be IMHO
@@RamseytheRamFair enough mate. We all have our opinions and you make some fair arguments. I just look at other one man/woman operators such Bortnikoff, Prin, Papillon, Ensar, Et al. They all seem capable of producing quality artisanal fragrances that are readily available for purchase. Musk Khabib for instance uses real musk and has been available for years. Bortnikoff also sells sample sets on his website. Perhaps Adam could continuously crank out his best work in the same fashion, obviously with the caveat that the scents may change slightly from batch to batch. You touched on this in your livestream. @@pullingthestrings5233 yes. Unfortunately the "refinements" made to the 2022 versions of Jeke and Ore in my opinion were very negative. They became overly sweet and missed the rustic nature that made the house iconic. I hope his future releases do not continue with that motif

@@RamseytheRam A very good friend of mine was recently divorced. I actually like being around him now. Nearing the end of his marriage, he was intolerable to be around. Since the divorce, he's lost considerable weight. He's the head IT Director of a company. His house is clean and he's fun to be around again. She was a dirty bird in all its meanings.
After saying all that i'm rolling the dice and going for a Cuirtis bottle, ha... my main point was Russian Adam's work used to spectacular, but now it's more like very good, and if you ranked all his work, the last few collections would easliy be at the bottom of the pile for the majority of fans.
PS, not wanting to spread misinformation, i got it a little mixed up about the 'musk duck' the scent gland isn't on their head, it's on their rump, and the males rub musk oil onto their head and bill lobe. Now, i just need to find a trapper in Australia to milk some ducks 😂
