Great video and excellent images as usual, Lee! Changing the autofocus to AF-C and using the Focus Priority, along with the using custom setting #5 for erratic moving subjects in the AF-C really fixes the erratic AF eye focus issues for me. I use the X-T5 in very dimly lit speakeasies and cigar lounges in Downtown Detroit for work, and once you tell the camera how to behave in those settings, it really shines. I look forward to more videos, and keep up the great work brother!
Lee: did you set it to "Priority Focus" vs. "Priority Release"? Also did you have AF + MF turned off so that it was AF only? I am getting much better results with PF and AF only set in AF-C. Not trying to step on toes, just trying to figure out how to get the AF the best I can on this camera, I do think Fuji should be better than this in 2022 considering where Sony and Canon are.
I was going between AF-C and AF-S. AF-C was struggling a lot in eye af. I was getting frustrated so I switched to AF-S which was much more accurate. But obviously the subject cant move. They will come out with firmware updates to address the accuracy. Like I've told everyone else. The XH2 seemed much more accurate in my testing. Its the same af system so I could be just early release thing.
The more I see of this camera the more I kind of feel that this is a daytime and studio lighting camera. This thing would kind of struggle bus during my indoor photography event work. I wonder if it will ever be possible for somebody at Fujifilm to go back to the drawing board and re engineer a couple of 16 and 24mp sensors for high iso work, because the 40mp sensor isn't it.
@@bngr_bngr Yeah I think they should go back to playing towards the strengths of APS-C and not trying to shoehorn full frame levels of pixels into the sensor. It's not a full frame camera. The people wanting the system to be full frame should stop trying to dictate the technology trends. I have my same complaints about 61mp on full frame sensors.
@@marcusbeasley3212 that’s because of pixel size. Most full frame manufactures have the advantage of producing cameras of various megapixel size and pixel size.
@@bngr_bngr My threshold is about 61mp. I have an A7RIV and unless you're mainly a studio person I'd prefer something more versatile than it. For indoor event work unless you're using flash it's not my preferred body.
I shoot with this camera in very low lit speakeasies and cigar lounges nightly in Detroit, and this camera actually works extremely well in low light conditions. The key with the AF with the X-T5 in low light situations, is taking the time out to setup the AF-C custom settings to speed up the ability of the AF box to behave properly to those exact conditions. Once you dial in those settings, the camera indeed does lock on to the eye for a much higher keeper rate. I also set the X-T5 shutter button to only capture the image once focus is acquired, so that I'm getting in focus captures.
Looking great, horror movie like with that greenish tint 👍 Fuji color looks so great, I'm experimenting with that color/temp filter on my Sony camera on Jpg and some tweeks In picture profile sometimes.
Been shooting with my XT5 for about 2 weeks. I noticed on AF-C, even when the camera has the green af confirmed box around the subject’s eye, the photos came out non focus. Probably need a firmware update to fix this issue.
Make sure you change the shutter button to only capture when focus is acquired, and not to capture upon releasing. Once I changed this setting, I no longer had the issue. Hope this helps.
Yeah! It’s pretty cool, it’s slower process but the nice thing is if you want to tweak anything like I did. It gets you the exact processing out of the camera as if you actually shot it in camera.
It’s not a battery pack. It’s a wireless hdmi transmitter to record the camera screen. Unfortunately the app crashed in the middle of the shoot and lost all the footage.
I wouldn’t say terrible. But I also would never ever shoot portraits past iso800 normally. Anything over that and it’s a lower light situation that requires you to light the scene better
It is not the high ISO. It's the fucking X-Trans processor that fucks up the details. I mean I love the output that Fuji gives, but it's definitely not for the pixelpeeper.

that was exactly what Ive been looking for! thanks for this great video
It looked such a fun shoot, loved the use of light and Marissa was wonderful. XT 5 might be my first camera, looks amazing
Yeah it’s always good to try different types of lighting in weird locations. Sometimes it gets you out of a creative rut
The shots are 🔥
Thx dude
Love those boots! They’re all the rage in Seattle, where I do my street photography.
Yeah they are cool. Marissa actually owns them. She was pulling out her inner goth
These shots are amazing! Love the set and the results from the xt5. Thanks for another great video. Cheers
It’s a super random shoot but it’s always fun to try different things :)
I will Stay With SONY!

Love your video. I wonder if the X-H2s AF would perform better in low-light conditions than the H-X2 and X-T5. I'm debating the 26MP vs. 40MP sensor.
The xh2s is a much better camera imo. But if you need the extra resolution obviously get the xh2 or xt5

If the camera had a full frame sensor the ISO performance would be significantly better.

Great job. Nice photos
Can you do video for XF90 f2 please?

yeah they will address this. It seems alot of people having issues with this and I never had it with the xh2 which is the same AF system and sensor
@@LeeZavitz though that has long been a Fuji thing we’re it says it has focus and the results say otherwise( at least with my x-t2/3 x-h1)

These Shots are nice Lee 🔥
🙏🏼
Wonder if xh2s would have struggled in low light?
Great video as usual, I think I will start using FUJIFILM X RAW studio side by side with lightroom.

Great shots!
High iso noise reduction at 0 means there still is a fair bit of noise reduction since it can go to -4
liked this video a lot 😇 cool shots I really like the vibe 🥰
It was such a vibe
Awesome work! Just bummed that the Wednesday Adams theme is now pop.
That battery pack looks epic

Too much noise.. the 26mpx from the xt4 behaves so much better
Sick shots!! I hear Tuesday Addams makes a killer taco. Haha
Lol!
Well in the TV we can clearly see some noise..
lol just a little
Haha
Amz 🔥
1600-3200 ISO is not high ISO... I want to see 6400-12,800.
by the way, there are 2 D's in Addams.
Correct. Thx
Terrible IQ in high iso😂
