Today he came to my school. I was balling the ENTIRE time. Mr. Halligan tells his son’s and his story, with such strong emotions. I was crying because it felt like I knew Ryan and it felt like I was there.
In 2008 you came to my middle school. Ryan's story 100% changed my life. I was bullied very much through out school and many times planned my out. After Ryan's story it gave me the perspective of the parents/loved ones side. I remember specifically you telling us with your voice cracking with emotion that our parents love us SO much. Now 14 years later having my own children I understand that pure deep love that we have for our children. Thank you for sharing Ryan with all of us. I will never forget.💕
@@ryansstoryorg its important for parents to open the lines of communication and that kids can feel comfortable talking about feeling depressed and suicidal. Avoiding the subject is the *worst* thing a parent can do. A cry for help needs to be answered and addressed.
U visited my school back in either 2006 or 2007, I was in 6th or 7th grade at the time and gave a presentation about this. It was sad but also really memorable, my condolences go out to u to this day and what u r doing is amazing. The school was Williston Central in Vermont
You came to my school today and I appreciate everything you said. I am also thankful that everyone was respectful, and you noticed. I also enjoyed the stand-up break, but nonetheless, thank you for the speech, it was way better than the other one we had, as I actually payed attention to your words.
when you came to my school this story had me in tears. and now whenever i feel like i wanna commit i remember ur story and how much it hurt you. so that it won’t hurt my mom thank you so much for coming to lindy

Thank you for coming to my school and talking to me about my father and people that told me things that aren’t good you really helped me a lot mr. Halligan
Ryan will live on in our memories. Ryan and I are about the same age.I'm thinking of when I was senior year of primary school, I was severely bullied by my class teacher and I've thought about killing myself at times. and my parents don't even know what happened to me, but I knew they still loved me, they just didn't understand.. Now I'm in my 30s, because both of my parents have passed away due to illness, I'm extremely sad, I've lost a lot of motivation to live a positive life and often think of ropes, necks, that sort of thing. But when I see you speaking around so strongly I am humbled, the pain you have been through is so much worse than mine and the fact that you have held on so strongly for so long, you're saving lives, over 20 years now, that's really admirable. It's amazing how strong a man can be, you are really inspired me.
I am so moved by your comment. And I am so sorry you lost both parents in your 30s. That is too young! I was in my 50s when I lost mine and I remembered the awful feeling of be untethered in this world. Not being able to relay on at least one. of them for support from time to time depressed me for a while too. But I go through this as I did with the loss of Ryan with the love of family, friends and God. I hope you have some of those supports in your life. You have a purpose in this life and you are loved beyond belief. God bless you for being so kind to me.
Today Jon halligan came to my school October 30 2024. I got so emotional because some one I knew from a different school commit subside so this hit me really hard. After ur presentation I came and shook ur hand and well I walked away I started crying. I would just like to say I’m sorry for your lost. Ps. Sorry if I spelt ur name wrong also the school was sateck elementary school. Have a good day stay positive.
As a parent of a struggling teen, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your work. I truly believe God is working through you, not only to make a difference in the lives of adolescents at a time they need it most but also in the lives of mom's and dad's everywhere to be the change their kids need them to be. Thank you.
You had came to my school today and I have bad depression… this story broke my heart and you made me think about everyone else and how it will effect them. Thank you so much for your inspiration and I’m so so sorry about your son!
Thank you for you presenting this, telling kids not to bully each other, this is truly amazing how much this changes some kids lives who are going through bullying, and how some people think this and see, that they have bullied, and have regretted their decisions, and I am mostly very sorry for your loss.
You just came to my middle school today in NY and I’ve been thinking about this presentation all day. You don’t know how appreciative I am of you coming and talking about this at so many schools, bullying, and especially suicide, needs to be talked about in schools. I would’ve done *anything* to change this story but unfortunately there’s nothing anybody can do now. But topics such as this getting acknowledged is really important, especially in middle school. I hope people remember the presentation and take it as a lesson not to bully anybody, even if it looks like it doesn’t affect them. Bullying affects everyone and sometimes it can get them to a bad point in life. Thank you again for sharing this story with so many schools, your greatly appreciated.
You came to my Daughter's school today, you have no idea how much of an impact you made on her ❤️ she is showing me this video now and she has been talking about you and your son's story since she got home ! Thank you so much 💯❤️❤️

You had just came to my Middle School today which was Wallace Middle School. This presentation had taught me a lot about how much people do care about you. And, how you can turn an ink blott into a butterfly. I found this sad and sometimes interesting when you talked about the bullies. I hope Ryan is doing okay now in a better place with better people. Ryan will continue to make people laugh and feel better in heaven, rest in peace Ryan Halligan. Rest well. ❤️
