This week we share some of the Holiday traditions and Christmas festivities that we enjoy every year during our time on Galveston Island in Texas.
We share Christmas tree lighting celebrations at the historic Grand Galvez Hotel and Downtown Galveston on the historic Strand.
We take you to the annual Dickens on the Strand Festival, do some Christmas shopping in the Mom & Pop shops in The Strand District, meet Santa, and enjoy some of the decorations around the island.
And we share our first tour of the amazing Festival of Lights, held each year at Moody Gardens. Be sure to watch all the way through the video for tips on how to save money at this popular holiday attraction!

When hubby was active in the Shrine , he was a clown and we went to the burn hospital in Galveston at Christmas with gifts for the kids that could not go home. We would go to Dickens at night it was a blast

It was so nice to see "Gal-e-fun" through your eyes! Wife was ill during Dickens on the Strand, so couldn't do that, and now I'm ill, so can't go see all the decorations! Ah well, we've got time!

I went to Dickens on the strand with my family on Sunday! It was our second year and so much fun! We always stop at La King’s for ice cream.😀 I’ve always wanted to see the Christmas lights at Moody! Maybe next year.😀Fun Christmas video!🎄

Merry Christmas to y’all. Galveston is one of our favorite Texas places. We will be there in February and look forward to seeing you Mardi Gras celebrations. We will have to try the Shark Shack for the red fish tacos. Love watching your videos and listening to the podcasts.

Tami and I were not able get to Galveston for Xmas this year due to family issues that required us to stay longer in Indiana. Your video brought us back to Galveston for the Holidays and the things we miss. Thank You! Can't wait to get back to our home port, should be there Dec 30th.

I'm here for a couple days between Christmas and New Years. It's a different world down here in "not summer" time. I've seen more state license plates in the first couple rows of RVs in the park than I saw on the entire trip to/from Louisiana at Christmas.
