Excellent, thank you for the video. I have this same oscillating behavior of the freewheel, I came here to confirm my suspicion of a bent axle.

How do I know if my axle bearings are very tired?

A good question. I would open up the 'cups' and inspect the grease along with bearings. I usually do that in the winter when bikes are less used.

hello sir i feel more resistance in peddling and vibration in cycle , what could be the reason?

First check the bottom bracket and wheel hubs for the play. Gotta be one of those two.

@@IvansBikesBmws actually this happened after i replaced tires.
can this happen if we have tighten bolts too much of axle?

Yup. Tires could be rubbing your folks. Inspect wheels and tires

I've never seen someone mention this as a way to tell if the axle is bent. Seems like a good tip, but I wonder if a worn or poorly-made cassette or freewheel could also cause this. Though either cause would require at minimum removing the wheel and possibly disassembling it... and at that point the axle could be checked with a straightedge anyway.

Thanks for the comment. To be honest, I usually come over a freewheel that has dull teeth with very little wear on it. Once in a while , I may run into a freewheel that has sharp teeth and is worn out. In that case the chain starts skipping, but it won't make that eccentric movement that I demonstrated in that video.

@@IvansBikesBmws It might depend on the specific makeup of the cogs and chain used. I could see a bike that's only been on a trainer and kept clean having the guts of the free-spin mechanism wearing down, one that was improperly hardened from the factory (or just cheap) getting damaged prematurely, or a freehub which has gone through multiple cassette changes and has worn out.
