I working on something that isn't consecration but its mainly just spending people so you don't die lol because i damage reduction seems to get lower while others get higher with each update
it was fun for the first couple of days or so and then i saw there wasn't that much build variety on titan and then i saw the exotic mark perks and then i saw the exotic bond perks and then i saw the exotic cloak perks and then i saw the raid clear numbers and then i saw warlocks had 3x the build variety and then i saw hunters doing everything titans could and then i saw myself not using titan until it's atleast slightly worse than warlock still gonna try to do the raid on my titan though
Its because they don't play Titan. Any main knows that thats just a movement ability. If you want the super, then you gotta be wasting your exotic on it.
@@Orthienfrl what a dogshit mechanic. You have to swap exotic to gain a « decent » super. I also hate that cuirass doesn’t have any neutral game advantages unlike celestial that gives you extra super energy with precision kills.
Don't forget how Bungie was so resistant to giving a buff to titans that they were willing to design several entirely new exotics and 2 subclass trees rather than buff them, and when they did, it wasn't until year 3 years into the game. There is an insane bias against them on bungie's part.
@@PocketTuna I can see the vision. It's like "Cool! I'm finally invisible now! .....Well guess I'll have to use my Consecration and get out of my invisibility now!"
What makes our situation worse is that the two best exotics for titans(those being Synthoceps and HOIL) are essentially now available for the other two classes via the exotic class item. We have been begging Bungie to please buff or rework the other titan exotics but they just never do.
It says a lot about Titan exotic choices that after 3 or 4 nerfs each and a buff or two for our other options, Synthos and HOIL are still the most used exotics. Our other options are such garbage that we won't stop using these until you just flat remove their perks.
As a titan main I know deep down that if bungie removed the class, the largest impact it would have on them game would be the removal of peacekeepers in crucible.
(PVE)Prismatic titan is like going to a black Friday event late. You come out with 1-2 cool things while everyone else took the good shit for themselves
Learn to play... Prismatic titan has the best survival builds and the best exotic class item combo fir damage, if u don't know how to use this pg just change, but stop saying that one character is useless just bc u don't know how it works. It is not for new light sorry, u need to play and learn the basics
@@bungodccxx955 What does the Titan class do better than the other classes? You know Bungie themselevs just came out yesterday and said they are re evaluating Titans themselevs right? Do they not know how to play their own game either? lol
@@PocketTunathey did? 😂 thank god bc I've always been a Titan since D1 and man the grenades choices for Prismatic are horrendous and to get buff effects like woven mail or something are difficult especially for PvP. On a similar note, the aspect Unbreakable is dope but wish it didn't come at the cost of using your grenade energy especially if it doesn't kill. How are you gonna crowd control without a grenade man? Would've rather had it be my barrier energy tbh. Hope they make changes that'll have em on par with the other two classes bc yeah it hurts to see only 3 titans out of 280 players finish Salv Edge.
Nice so uh why dont you stand in the middle of an ogre and see how long he lasts? I guarantee that Hunters and Warlocks will out last a Titan that only has overshield with no sustain. At least with Hunters we can disengage and Warlock outright heal over damage. Titans just get to be a glow target that can sustain.
Titans are meant to be the tanks, the problem is the game is not built for defense. Why worry about survivability if you can clear the room before it's an issue? Or anything that would merit extra defense is almost always a one hit KO anyway. Another part is everything has to be balanced for PvP: Juggernaut got tied to barricade to keep it from trampling crucible, Shoulder charges drain melee energy when used to keep players from going too fast(but icarus dash is still free), knockout gets it's uptime cut, woven mail gets its potency cut, the stasis melee makes you drop like a stone because again it made us too nimble, barricade in general got a health nerf but is more severe with the bastion aspect, and the absolute maiming of throwing hammer. Anything that can give a subclass flavor gets pummeled down.
Undo all the nerfs honestly and buff shit. I miss playing my titan but I really don't know what would be too interesting about it vs my Warlock or Hunter.
@@Ruminations_24as a hunter main, I actually want them undo some nerfs and reworks(I secretly want the old mobius quiver back) let all the classes be broken!
Honestly, I'd say the Stasis super not making you as fast anymore is a good thing, since it mostly requires you being on the ground, and spending too much time in the air can lower how much damage you do throughout the duration of the super.
2:56 perfect demonstration on how utterly useless thunder crash is lmao, can't even kill a stunned champion with a NINE AND A HALF MINUTE COOLDOWN and you have to throw yourself at them.
Did you also see 2 melee whiffs within a 10 second span... God idk why they keep pigeonholing a single class around a mechanic they can't even make reliable. The amount of times I've died on a solo dungeon run all because I missed a melee is too painful to even go back through in my head.
@@gibster9624 they said they fixed frenzied blade during your super so that it doesn't whiff and send you backwards randomly if things are too close, but the normal version still does it literally all the time lmao 🤣
Somebody on the dev team spent waaaaay too much time on the internet if they thought the melee titan memes were actually what we wanted. Titans have like little to no neutral game on prismatic. Titans *do* have ability neutral game on sol invictus, bastion, touch of thunder, banner of war. But Bungie said "no. go unga bunga, durr hurr." This has been a problem creeping up for years and I'm glad the raid report made them turn their head or the least.
As a titan main I always knew we were being forgotten but I still lived in copium bliss but now after looking at all the titan exotics compared to the other classes we don’t got JACK SQUAT, we got buff damage of melee or super, add extra ability charge or spam orbs that’s it
Not to mention 90% of the titans exotics are irrelevant in terms of usability, and the ones that were actually (looking at you HOIL, rip sweet prince) got nerfed into the ground.
Hunters stole the titan gimmick, dealing a million damage with infinite melees. Meanwhile, titans can deal like 300k with consecration while limited to 3 charges of frenzied blade.
Not to mention the frenzy blade cooldown is abysmal unless you are ascendant. I don’t want to use Monte Carlo in every build a make just to have the one thing I can actually use
You mean arc hunter arguably the worst arc class for pve with combination blow.. the monk class in every RPG game. Like brother you know there are better more viable options then consecration right
As a Titan since D1, yeah we get nerfs and hate. End of the day, our drip is peak and we just keep it rolling. Exodus chest poece feels like a exotic for titans of a diff timeline.
my favorite part about the showcase is how she says "you can destroy everything around you" while fucking dying and using "the cool blades of strand" to get away from enemies lol
The sad part is that pre surge removal, stormtrance does more total damage than every base Titan super minus glacial quake Stormtrance. Let that sink in.
In Lore Titans are about building thing yet we have no engineer builds and a class ability so useless a movement ability is more heavily favored. I said it last year with Strand. Why weren't we given a super where we throw out turrets? Complained for years about the class lacking range options, support, builds, having too many bad exotics while having the only good exotics constantly getting nerfed. You're a class that is forced to play aggressive but don't have enough utility to support the play style and have to deal with the longest cooldowns of any class because we lack synergy. The only thing I have had going for me has been PCCB and thunderclap being able to mop up entire rooms but the lack of healing options means any CC can completely destroy momentum and get me killed.
You know the funniest part, that that kind of nerf would be perfect to avoid the grapple exploitation in almost every sense, but they will find a way to nerf it only for titans and leave it free of use and nerf for hunters, I am waiting bungie don’t do this shit to us again
I’ve always thought that Titans should have like, massive guns. Kind of like cabal colossi. And I know we have power weapons for that, but with the construct-type powers of strand and stasis, I’m surprised we never got a Titan super or ability themed around creating a cannon or minigun of some kind and making it rain lead (or I suppose stasis/strand matter)
Wasn’t the concept art for Strand Titan a big flamethrower for the super? As a Hunter, I say that would’ve been better than lime-flavored Fists of Havoc.
My friends were dumb-founded when I told them that prismatic titan doesn't get grapple grenade. I was disappointed, but they were utterly fuming in my defense. They were mad FOR ME, and they've never even played titan.
As a Titan main, I 100% agree with all of this! Titans have become an absolute joke in this game and if you bring them in raids or any sort of end game content, you’re basically throwing at this point with how butchered they are. Whenever I bring up titans need any help or they’re trash (which I hate doing), all the people in my clan, who are mostly hunter mains, say “bUt YoU HaVe BaNNer of WaR! Or SOlaR suBClaSs!” Yeah. Two things out of our entire class that allows us to even remotely be able to be the archetype bungie has forced us to be. The main reason solar and strand is good is because it lets us be up close and be able to SURVIVE. Don’t even get me started on Prismatic! It’s an absolute joke. We can spam consecration, woohoo! Good luck trying to do that in GMs or endgame content and living! Also our only viable combination to live is consecration with knockout. If you use anything besides those two, all your survivability is basically gone. And they mostly don’t even synergize with each other. Also notice how the vast majority of our build videos are in SOLO content. Because as soon as we’re thrown into a team activity, our builds basically fall apart and become useless due to the fact the enemy we have to melee to get ANYTHING going, is long since dead from other class abilities or guns. Yeah we have niche decent setups but in SOLO content only. In team content, our only purpose is add clear. If a boss is mobile or far away or can fly, more than half of our supers/abilities are useless. We have been heavily outclassed by the other two classes and with hunters I agree with being 75% of the player population, it’s a no brainer. If titans didn’t have Ursa Furiosa for sentinel shield, we’d have ZERO use against the witness boss fight in the new raid. That fight is a hunters fever dream and a titans worst nightmare. A boss they can’t do a thing against because our only ranged supers are laughable or mid at best against him. Want to thundercrash him with curaiss (which does less damage combined than the new void super which is hilarious) and hope you don’t just whiff right past him and live? Good luck! Or want to consecrate slam him 3 times? Have fun trying and dying! Hunters have celestial nighthawk and a brand new exotic weapon that works perfectly with it essentially giving them multiple golden guns to use whenever they want. Of course hunters were and are the most dominant class that completed the raid. GIANT far away crit spot titans can’t do anything against versus free high powered golden gun shots that do MASSIVE damage? Hmm. Wonder which one wins? Hunters have long since been the better melee class than the entire class that’s SUPPOSED to be the melee class. They basically said screw titans and gave everything to Hunters. Synthoceps was our one unfortunate saving grace with the class and they just gave it to all 3. The one thing titans had going for them. I’m thankful Bungie FINALLY admitted and confirmed that they are looking at titans and their prismatic intensely. Because we need help. Desperately. When we have 42 exotics (not including the new class item, which is also a major joke) only 3-4 see the light of day. And it’s the same ones we’ve been using for the past 3-4 years. Synthoceps is still our only used exotic basically despite how many nerfs it keeps getting because all the other ones aren’t viable or usable basically. They could delete like 90% of our exotics from the game and most titans I’m sure would be like, “wait those existed?” Please Bungie, give us anything. We need an identity back!
@@PocketTuna I honestly didn’t either given how they’ve been gutting us hard every time we find something fun. Yet hunters can do what we get nerfed 10x better and it’s perfectly fine on them and balanced. Most times us pve players get slaughtered with changes because of crucible. Why should we have to suffer because of that horrible game mode? I just hope it’s some meaningful changes, not just “uh…normal melee gets 1% extra damage. Have fun.”
@@embelished_meister500 I think even that’s being generous! Haha. Some buffs for other things took years to come into effect. Bungie probably: “We hear all the feedback about titans and will hereby give buffs to Hunters while removing all usability on titans. They can no longer melee. In fact, we are going to remove them from the game because Hunters are the dominant and superior class. Use them instead”.
The problem with Titan is that it’s so one note that the only time Titan has a reason to exist is when it’s busted. The grenade build when arc 3.0 came out with Hoil. Banner of war when it was first introduced. Etc etc but it doesn’t matter now because that’s all been nerfed. People always point to falling star as being the busted thing for Titan damage but that hit power crept so long ago. Point is when titans aren’t game breakingly strong they don’t have a reason to exist because they don’t bring anything else to the table besides being tanky, which doesn’t hold up in gm’s, and their main support is void over shields. Of which, for anyone who’s ever played rainbow six siege are the equivalent to Blackbeard’s gun shields in his flimsy they are
Titans are supposed to be busted. They're the tanks, that's what tanks do. They draw aggro and tank damage and deal massive damage. Banner of war didn't make any of the other 2 classes "worse" if anything, pre nerf banner of war was what a titan truly should be. They're the bulwarks but there's not a single titan main in all of the Destiny 2 team so they look at it through the eyes of people who complain because they refused to try titan out
I think Titans should go all-in on defence. At least then we can keep a consistent design philosophy for each class. Warlock: Grenades/Supers Hunter: Melee Titan: Shield and protection melee of some sort? Just buff Titan's health somewhat.
The one thing people don't talk about is how Frenzied Blade has a 40 second increase on Pris Titan moving from like 1:50 on Strand Titan to 2:42 on Pris Titan which is really dumb (Base Cool down)
You also don’t have any effective way to get those melee charges back like with banner of war. The best you can do is build transcendence just so you can have an actual useable melee.
I agree, it pains me because Im a main titan since the beggining of D2 and that "punch" identity sucks in end game content. Titan should be a tank or off tank (in pve) and they have some aspects that mixed could have made prismatic better. Changing diamond lance to tectonic harvest would have been better for frost armor and heal with any stasis shard and gaining melee ability on the process or adding offensive bulwark to add a refreshable overshield + granade energy + melee damage OR, if they want us to be full melee, adding into the fray for woven mail and melee regeneration. Titan has pretty and powerful aspects but they were too afraid to make it "broken" and now it fell behind. I really love titan and I hope changes are made to enjoy more the class
I remember when they were revealing one of the darkness subclasses and they were explaining what each super does. They start with the warlock and are going into detail with sound effects. they get to the titan and tell us there is a light melee and a heavy melee, swap to explaining the hunter and go into detail with sound effects. They have never hidden how little they play titan.
What's so bizarre is that Titan is a more visceral class than either of them. And that's why people complain they're either broken or not. You either feel like you put someone 6ft under or you feel like you hit them with a wet napkin.
One simple change to give titans their lick back and make other class oriented stats useful: Make Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery scale higher depending on the class you’re using. For example a 70 resil Titan has more damage resistance than a 100 resil Hunter. This fixes the problem with titans being so squishy in endgame encounter and incentivizes them into charging in with a melee build. It also keeps every single build from having 100 resil and discipline as a requirement, as you can at least get more utility from the other stats.
Bungie has to remember that the sandbox can be separated. I remember them doing some change that only effected PVP or PVE, then they just forgot for some reason. I have never once had fun in Destiny PVP throughout almost 10 years. When Bungie continues to hurt the PVE sandbox solely because of a game mode I avoid like the plague, it really drives me away from the game.
I’m switching to a Warlock built I’m tired of the bullshit titan builds they give us. Titans are at the biggest disadvantage in PvP and PvE. It’s pointless at this point
They'll only end up taking them from Titans and give them to one of the other classes, just like they did with twilight arsenal and the air dodge. I am sure there are more abilities I am missing.
You forgot to use the prismatic Titan trailer where the devs talk and say “this is the classic Destiny experience” as he uses nothing but consecration and then remembers he has a diamond lance before the pve clip ends. Then for pvp is just one shield throw and prismatic grenade.
a titan will always be good in a raid for comedic relief. the amount of times i recently fell of the map in every activity across destiny 2 because im so "go go go" with the titan is probably unheard of. also the amount of times i die from just running in with my titan would bring a mix of anger and laughs. titans are really fun to laugh at lol
the thing i still wish bungie would go with for titans and kept for a few times until nerfing them into the ground is titans being the actual tank of the guardians. even in lore the titans are the ones holding the enemies at twilight gap and other large battles. holding the line and taking all the hits. let us be that unstoppable freight train
I’m not a titan main I’m warlock. I finished all my builds for warlock decided to move to Titan and after 2 hours I noticed most builds are melee focused and nothing else the new super is fun but other than that there is no variety to the builds. Bungie needs a genuine rework on titan. Because warlocks have so much build variety it’s crazy. Whilst hunter has even more you could say.
@@antgonz4436 Identity has been the same for years??? Hunters: Dps focues Warlock: Utility Titans: Raw ability damage, competitive in burst scenarios ie x3 blade furry, shoulder charge, otp scaling, pyrogale, t-crash, hell even in d2 launch double pulses. Back in d1 fist of havoc, shoulder charge, hoil and majority of titan exotics focus on ability empowerment
The titan needs a rework on some supers. For instance thunder crash needs to be faster travel speed, faster super depletion, much more damage for lower blast radius. A new strand super with instant cast, range and massive precision damage (like a spear than anchors enemies in place, including champions) would be better for prismatic.
I am a Titan main, always have been. Never gonna stop playing Titan, but we need a HUGE buff. Something needs to give with Prismatic and the other Light subclasses instead of restricting us to primarily Strand. The Prismatic Titan has very little survivability and that's really, really sad. It's fun, don't get me wrong, but when I'm popping off and suddenly one shot on Prismatic... It's not cool.
Honestly I’d be much happier with prismatic if they gave it banner of war or something like that, stronghold sword titan has always been my favorite because it lets the titan actually be a titan I really enjoy where they’re going with sentinel shield and ursa, i think they just need to make it better Like I used ursa in gm excision and it was extremely viable
@@PocketTunaI swear to god, they said they buffed the tracking on that shit yet when TFS came out I threw it directly at a thrall and it just somehow still flies past then bounces around a wall doing nothing. It’s crazy that bonk hammer feels easier to hit with than the shield
I like how it comes full circle. Before subclass 2.0, hunters were the "worst" class in pve. Then, when 2.0 hit, warlocks were the basic/worst class in pve (only useful for WoR bitch.) And now titans with prismatic lol. And also as a side note. I wonder if anyone's notices, bit besides apothesis/stareater combo, the next best combo for warlocks is just an upgraded version of verity brow. Osmiomancy or inmost light with very brow perk.
As a Titan main since day one, I do think some of the gripes that often get thrown out are a bit over exaggerated, but you definitely make some great points. The numbers don't lie, and I'm glad Bungie is taking notice. They need to rework the class and get us away from being melee focused. Actually embarrassing at this point
I would love if Hammer of sol had a buff... slight tracking as it falls, throw more Hammers faster, more scorch stacks for. Hell I'd love to see suncharge back.
Been a titan main since D1 for resilience and staying alive. Have to run prismatic for the required stuff but take it off and put Lorelei and solar hammers to stay alive in the harder content still. I am still livid that they put a cooldown on the boinky hammer. It along with sky burners, mida mini, and Lorelei got me through solo duality.
Something that’s been sitting in the back of my mind recently and brought up again partially due to talk about prismatic balancing between the classes is how our gear and characters progressively feel weaker despite the fact we get stuff like more supers, fragments, aspects, weapon archetypes, artifact mods, etc. I honestly miss a ton of the balancing and systems pre-Shadowkeep and some stuff pre-Lightfall
i like how in game prismatic hunter is deemed to be crowd control but with or without a extotic class item has almost 4 of the higest dps options in the game dont even get started on celestial plus wild hunt
Here i thought prismatic could make titans good and fun again guess ima have to try super hard for a build to barely rivals a hunters damaged or warlock support/utility
While i feel that, i just wanna be that warlock that points out Bungie still wants us to be in the air. Glad they gave us helion and Song of Flame, though i dont forsee the other two supers being used inside of PvE ever again now. Dash always gets a laugh out of me. A whole aspect for moving a meter in one direction.
I don't hate Titan's being brusiers, characters that inflict massive close range damage that protect the team too. But melee is so discouraged in high end content that it's just not possible. The only idea I've had to make it better for Titan is to just make resilience do more for them specifically. Titans at base are described as these forces of pure will that brute force everything, only to get near one shot when stacking damage resistance from a redbar. It completely counteracts the way Titan has been designed to play.
I think bungie forgot to rebalance Titan exotics that were nerfed due to PVP. They have gotten somewhat better by making some exotics give less of their effect in PVP. Now if only they would go back and buff some of the exotics.
The utility of titan is now protection. Ursa furiosa now works with the unstoppable aspect which can give easy 25% super. Plus it protects against witness attacks so you don't even need to move during dps phase.
Would be much more useful if that protection fantasy was more shareable amongst your team and useful. Overshields are not strong enough in PvE to warrant it over restoration.
Titan has some competition with ability regeneration with triple consecration, HOIL+Armamentarium class item and thruster, which is the build I use (it’s a lot of fun having literally always an ability available). Then, spirit of the osmiomancy + devour is an instant grenade on hit on every grenade on warlock and unsurprisingly synthoceps (which on prismatic aren’t very useful, since the arc aspect gives a lot of damage on top of the damage of consecration) are broken on hunter…
Even with the stasis changes, why does tectonic harvest have an internal cooldown of 10 seconds after creating only 6 shards?????? It makes keeping up frost armor x8 really really hard and it's not even that good to keep it hard to get
I think that's a really important point you made regarding Hunter's focused on DPS and Warlocks are focused on utility. So what could Titans be shifted towards? I think it's important to understand what gameplay-wise draws people to that class? As a non-titan main I can't answer that.
Thunder Crash should either give you amp AND speed boost on cast (so you can more easily get away after) OR have a kind of reverse blink, meaning that after the cast is finished, you're teleported to your position you began the cast from.
I saw a two tailed fox and new chest build for titan. Used it for a about a day and a half before bungie nerfed it. The only other build for titan. My prismatic titan feels like arc but with shield throw for over-shield.
I've been an Arc Hunter main since Day 1-Destiny 1. Watching the class grow through its lows and highs has been great, and really fun. What's wild is the fact that I'm just a better Striker...in like...every way, and I'm reminded of that everytime I play my Titan. Better melee game Better survivability(lmao) Better Supers Better utilities Better movement Sadly this isn't just Striker lol. Behemoth got cooked a bit in this update, especially in PvP("Manstrual" has a vid on the topic). I'd love to see a Titan update that focuses on reinforcing its indentity as being the walls of the City that stand firm in the storm. Pillars of strength and resilience.
Speaking as some one who has hated playing titian for a while now( i used to play all 3) titians were pretty strong for a long time, bonk hammer then strand, and pre nerf should charge builds when crazy in pve, so its not like titians have been weak this whole time, quite the contrary they have been auper strong. You are correct in identifying that the problem is that every single one of those builds is a melee build that gets boring very fast. I think the bigger problem is that titians originally were a defensive class. Unfortunately, the game has shifted away from needing that, so bungie shifted titians heavily into their other identity, which is being punch kick merchants. Which doesn't hold up in end-game content. When it works its strong, strand titian was one of the only classes pre final shape that could solo 1 phase the warlords ruin bosses, which have way to much fucking health for a deongeon. But it gets boring and when an encpunter is designed in a way that prevents melee dmg from being viable, something like the witness fight where you literally can not melee him consistently, they become useless, which is why you saw so few titians clear day 1.(That and hunters having big dmg atm, which is pretty much made nessisary when you have a boss with 30mil health and only 3 phases to do it)
I use strand on my titan. Which is weird because prismatic is suppose to be superior. Heavy reliance on orbs for survivability doesn’t feel awesome. Especially in harder content. It castrates the power fantasy. Warlocks easy mode, hunter is fun and engaging. Titan just feels like work.
As a Titan main, I agree. Strand and Shield banner are the closet we have to the power fantasy. I will say we should give Catrina a little bit of a break, english is not her first language.
I can totally agree, but ngl I'm still enjoying my ol' faithful strand titan build rn just fine, who cares if nobody else is using titan if you have a build/playstile that you still have plenty of fun with 💀💀
Titans need some love right now. Bungie has nerfed so many aspects of the game revolving around the other 2 classes without really batting an eye on how that will affect us Titans. In PvP pre-nerf Bubbles were strong for holding down a position but was outclassed by wells. After the nerf well was still strong but now Bubble has been rendered obsolete if you don't use Helm of Saint-14 making any builds that were made beforehand no longer viable in the current sandbox. In PvE (just like you said) Hunters have the DPS, Warlocks have the utility and means to support their fireteam and Titans are just there...., existing. Hazardous Propulsion with Grand Overture is currently only viable method to get consistently great DPS in almost every raid encounter. As for the PvP aspect (which what I enjoy) Hunters and Warlocks have it so much better than Titans in almost every single sense. Both have the best supers and the best abilities while Titans get short end of the stick with a few exceptions. If you play any PvP and fight any Titans that know what they're doing you'll see them use the same 3 kits, Bubble, Maul and Thundercrash and sometimes you'll see a strand Titans with BoW since the nerf kinda killed the kit in PvP. Out of the 3 kits only 2 are considered viable for trials and comp due to the Bubble nerf and now being a considered a really bad super to use due to how hilariously easy they are to get rid of. It doesn't feel a super anymore. While well on the other hand is still great since the advantage it has over the bubble is that you shoot enemies while standing in it (duh), making bubble mostly useless in PvP. There's no reason to use, no reason to play it anymore.
I think the final spit in the face is that for all the titan melee focus, they aren't even the best melee class lol. Combination blow hunter absolutely shits on Titan. Outclassed at their own game, lol.
It's annoying for sure but I'm not stressing. Us titans still have grapple melee boss melting. Yes hunters have it as well now but at least we still have that. Also knowing that Bungie is working on it is nice so I'm not stressing.
I'm a warlock main and even I realize that titans are getting the shortest possible end of the stick. I didn't realize how bad it was until I started seeing this rule of "no titans" in the raid. That's just cruel
I got into titan earlier this year cuz i got all the base exotics and just made a build off UA-cam and the void and solar builds made me love the class but the moment prismatic came out it made me realize this was made for warlocks and no one at bungie care about titan......thanks for confirming my fears guys
i main Titan and I genuinely didn't even realize Weapons Of Light was gone bc Twilight Arsenal is the only super I've used since it dropped. It's a one and done ranged super, it's everything we needed FOR YEARS it's not enough that they're giving us some new tools, Bungie has to take everything that worked the previous seasons away
its even sadder when hunters were able to do we titans did before prismatic at an equal level if not greater in some cases, yet bungie hard nerfed all titan builds that had huge melee damage while keeping hunter melee builds in tact when hunters main ideology isnt even about doing big fist damage. still remember hammer was such a devastating nerf, its what made the subclass good for a reason.
@@LoominousShroominous yeah thats why titans have seen the longest most oppressive metas ie multiple oem metas, citans, behemoth for 8 months (warlocks stasis melee got nerfed 72 hours into beyond light launch) From D2 launch to Forsakken there were 2 warlocks only ever in the top 100 leaderboards on D2 tracker. Majority titans and hunters foor +1 year.
Bungie should double down on the "Banner Titan" and bring that function to the other classes. Different buffs, different heavy weapons. The role of the Titan should be roaming support (Warlocks are support, Hunters are Roamers) that the team rallies around.
Arc titan with storm grenades was my favourite way to play titan because it was good in endgame content and it was fun in general. They butchered it so much.
I’m a hunter main but I agree. I still play on warlock and titan and titans have been gutted. Hunters have dodge punch builds and still hunt, warlocks have infinite healing and getaway artist builds while titans have no really good endgame builds besides I guess hazardous propulsion. Titans need some better ranged and useful ability builds. I feel bad for the titans mains, I hope bungie does something about titans kit soon
You guys enjoying the new subclass that is just basically consecration spam right now?
I working on something that isn't consecration but its mainly just spending people so you don't die lol because i damage reduction seems to get lower while others get higher with each update
it was fun for the first couple of days or so
and then i saw there wasn't that much build variety on titan
and then i saw the exotic mark perks
and then i saw the exotic bond perks
and then i saw the exotic cloak perks
and then i saw the raid clear numbers
and then i saw warlocks had 3x the build variety
and then i saw hunters doing everything titans could
and then i saw myself not using titan until it's atleast slightly worse than warlock
still gonna try to do the raid on my titan though
bruh.. it sucks...
yes? it's literally the most fun titan has ever been.
Can we even call it spam?
My favorite part about the prismatic showcase is that the THUNDERCRASH DIDN’T EVEN KILL THE CHAMPION.
Lmaoooooo insane. Absolutely cracked

That Titan wasn’t using Cuirass of the Falling Star lol
I love how nobody is talking about the fact hunters got a titan exotic perk and it's out performing the original exotic
Oh trust me, I’m gonna talk about it lol
Don't forget how Bungie was so resistant to giving a buff to titans that they were willing to design several entirely new exotics and 2 subclass trees rather than buff them, and when they did, it wasn't until year 3 years into the game. There is an insane bias against them on bungie's part.
Which Titan exotic and Hunter build are you referring to?

@@PocketTuna I can see the vision. It's like "Cool! I'm finally invisible now! .....Well guess I'll have to use my Consecration and get out of my invisibility now!"
Invis on melee kills and finishers is fire. But that’s cause of the exotic class item.
Bungie just launches pyrogale:
Pov: pyrogale the CONSECRATION exotic don't stand a chance against synthos that's a f joke
I’ve said it for years:
Hunters are the youngest child, warlocks are the oldest, and titans are the forgotten middle child
As a titan main I know deep down that if bungie removed the class, the largest impact it would have on them game would be the removal of peacekeepers in crucible.
LOL sucks but true
Pretty much but you can't forget the removal of a very marginal group at this point. The few, The Proud. The Titan Mains.
it would make my solo flawless dungeons harder :c

Anything that can give a subclass flavor gets pummeled down.
this is probably the best comment i've read. you get it.

Hello darkness my old friend
Not to mention 90% of the titans exotics are irrelevant in terms of usability, and the ones that were actually (looking at you HOIL, rip sweet prince) got nerfed into the ground.
Bungie's design philosophy in general needs to be reworked
Hunters stole the titan gimmick, dealing a million damage with infinite melees. Meanwhile, titans can deal like 300k with consecration while limited to 3 charges of frenzied blade.

The sad part is that pre surge removal, stormtrance does more total damage than every base Titan super minus glacial quake
Stormtrance. Let that sink in.
No way. Is that true???
Meanwhile Hunters press dodge and get a free melee
Not to mention they nerfed the hammer throw where you still have to wait 2 or 3 seconds for you to actually get the hammer back 😂
Lmao I’m still not used to that change
And have better DMG reduction. Swear, every time I play PvP and go super I'm more easily killed than a Warlock or Hunter going super.
that actually sounds dope
bro let titans regen machine gun ammo with an aspect.
They could delete like 90% of our exotics from the game and most titans I’m sure would be like, “wait those existed?”
Please Bungie, give us anything. We need an identity back!
Admitting is the first step, hopefully they aren’t too conservative with the changes. The fact that they even mentioned it I didn’t expect.
Have fun.”
@@TVG626With how many changes and buffs we Titans need, we’re probably not gonna get any major changes till at least the mid-episode update.
@@embelished_meister500 I think even that’s being generous! Haha. Some buffs for other things took years to come into effect.
Bungie probably:
“We hear all the feedback about titans and will hereby give buffs to Hunters while removing all usability on titans.
Of which, for anyone who’s ever played rainbow six siege are the equivalent to Blackbeard’s gun shields in his flimsy they are
Either broken or useless but Bungie doesn’t seem to think that’s an issue lol
Yeah, if Titans are Tammy they need to give us better shields
Titans are supposed to be busted. They're the tanks, that's what tanks do. They draw aggro and tank damage and deal massive damage.
Banner of war didn't make any of the other 2 classes "worse" if anything, pre nerf banner of war was what a titan truly should be. They're the bulwarks but there's not a single titan main in all of the Destiny 2 team so they look at it through the eyes of people who complain because they refused to try titan out
The fact that Hunters are better at Being a melee class than Titans. Titans have NO theme. Hunters and Warlocks are more Tanky too.
Nothing but pain man
I think Titans should go all-in on defence. At least then we can keep a consistent design philosophy for each class.
Warlock: Grenades/Supers
Hunter: Melee
Titan: Shield and protection melee of some sort?
Just buff Titan's health somewhat.
Maybe, but as long as I get to keep my Unstoppable force fantasy as striker.
The one thing people don't talk about is how Frenzied Blade has a 40 second increase on Pris Titan moving from like 1:50 on Strand Titan to 2:42 on Pris Titan which is really dumb (Base Cool down)
To be fair most abilities got cooldown nerfs going into prismatic. Most grenades take 2:01 to recharge now for example
@@JTB-1 You see the problem I have with it is that 2:42 is a new all time high no ability has ever been that high before
You also don’t have any effective way to get those melee charges back like with banner of war.
Not giving us sunspots for prismatic just feels like a weird oversight aswell or having roaring flames proc from other elements on prismatic.
I'll always be a titan no matter what, but it just sucks how much it feels like they just don't care about the class anymore hell if at all.
Titan til I die
One simple change to give titans their lick back and make other class oriented stats useful:
Make Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery scale higher depending on the class you’re using.
Agree! I've been saying this for a while now. Make the choice of picking one class over another actually mean something.
We need more people speaking up about this. I'll be your voice
As a warlock main for years and years, I wish titans were unnerfed. It's driving a wedge into our community.
Us Titan mains got robbed from this expansion.. they destroyed my builds
I wonder if this hurts as much as the sunspot nerf that still to this day was completely unnecessary
I used to think the Titan class is a tragedy. One whole year later after not playing the game, I realised it's comedy cause it's an absolute joke lmao
I think it’s the biggest joke it’s ever been right now
I’m switching to a Warlock built I’m tired of the bullshit titan builds they give us. Titans are at the biggest disadvantage in PvP and PvE. It’s pointless at this point
Is that a reference i see? That has zero errors or flaws in its usage?
I feel like they should be more focused on being the defence class with overshields and normal shields instead of "big punch" class.
Agreed!!
we were but they nerfed bastion, bubble multiple times, suspend and all our good stasis fragments lmao.
They'll only end up taking them from Titans and give them to one of the other classes, just like they did with twilight arsenal and the air dodge. I am sure there are more abilities I am missing.
They started feeling more confortable when nerfing titans since they nuked HOIL, the class just went downhill from there 😢
I knew we were cooked after the unnecessary sunspot nerf and the stupid shoulder charge nerfs.
You forgot to use the prismatic Titan trailer where the devs talk and say “this is the classic Destiny experience” as he uses nothing but consecration and then remembers he has a diamond lance before the pve clip ends. Then for pvp is just one shield throw and prismatic grenade.
As a titan main who stopped playing. I feel pain that my boi, the titans just gets crewed up over and over again. 😢
Non stop
a titan will always be good in a raid for comedic relief. the amount of times i recently fell of the map in every activity across destiny 2 because im so "go go go" with the titan is probably unheard of. also the amount of times i die from just running in with my titan would bring a mix of anger and laughs. titans are really fun to laugh at lol
the thing i still wish bungie would go with for titans and kept for a few times until nerfing them into the ground is titans being the actual tank of the guardians. even in lore the titans are the ones holding the enemies at twilight gap and other large battles. holding the line and taking all the hits. let us be that unstoppable freight train

It's fun, don't get me wrong, but when I'm popping off and suddenly one shot on Prismatic... It's not cool.
Honestly I’d be much happier with prismatic if they gave it banner of war or something like that, stronghold sword titan has always been my favorite because it lets the titan actually be a titan

I really wish they would give the antaeus ward slide boost back after they already nerfed the shield
Crazy how badly they nerfed that just because of PvP. Would’ve been so useful especially with our enemies now using light and darkness to reflect back
I would love if Hammer of sol had a buff... slight tracking as it falls, throw more Hammers faster, more scorch stacks for. Hell I'd love to see suncharge back.
If they brought suncharge back it would be a game changer
Been a titan main since D1 for resilience and staying alive. Have to run prismatic for the required stuff but take it off and put Lorelei and solar hammers to stay alive in the harder content still.

A whole aspect for moving a meter in one direction.
I agree with that actually, Icarus dash should be intrinsic
They nerfed synthos grapple for this? Thats saaaad
And then let Hunters do it better
I don't hate Titan's being brusiers, characters that inflict massive close range damage that protect the team too. But melee is so discouraged in high end content that it's just not possible. The only idea I've had to make it better for Titan is to just make resilience do more for them specifically. Titans at base are described as these forces of pure will that brute force everything, only to get near one shot when stacking damage resistance from a redbar. It completely counteracts the way Titan has been designed to play.
I agree. Every class's unique stat should do more for them specifically.
I think bungie forgot to rebalance Titan exotics that were nerfed due to PVP. They have gotten somewhat better by making some exotics give less of their effect in PVP. Now if only they would go back and buff some of the exotics.
Forgot is way too generous but I agree with you lol
My face when Hunters make better use out of our exotics than we do
Even with the stasis changes, why does tectonic harvest have an internal cooldown of 10 seconds after creating only 6 shards?????? It makes keeping up frost armor x8 really really hard and it's not even that good to keep it hard to get
I think that's a really important point you made regarding Hunter's focused on DPS and Warlocks are focused on utility. So what could Titans be shifted towards? I think it's important to understand what gameplay-wise draws people to that class? As a non-titan main I can't answer that.
What initally drove me to play Titan in D1 was the soldier power fantasy honestly. A part of Titan's identity that seems to have been forgotten
You are Preaching in this video👏🏿🙏🏿💯
Appreciate you brotha
I hate playing as a Titan but i love seeing one on my fireteam so its sad to see so little Titans about
Sameeeeeee Titans are always welcome on my fireteam
Thunder Crash should either give you amp AND speed boost on cast (so you can more easily get away after) OR have a kind of reverse blink, meaning that after the cast is finished, you're teleported to your position you began the cast from.
Us titan mains need a serious improvement.....we aren't cooked we have been incinerated
There will always be metas where certain classes shine. For the last year it's been banner oof war titan, now it's hunter's time to shine.
I saw a two tailed fox and new chest build for titan. Used it for a about a day and a half before bungie nerfed it. The only other build for titan. My prismatic titan feels like arc but with shield throw for over-shield.
3:06 FISTS OF HAVOC?? THATS THUNDERCHRASH BUDDY
I've been an Arc Hunter main since Day 1-Destiny 1.
Watching the class grow through its lows and highs has been great, and really fun.
What's wild is the fact that I'm just a better Striker...in like...every way, and I'm reminded of that everytime I play my Titan.
Better melee game
Better survivability(lmao)
Better Supers
Better utilities
Better movement
Sadly this isn't just Striker lol.
Behemoth got cooked a bit in this update, especially in PvP("Manstrual" has a vid on the topic).
I'd love to see a Titan update that focuses on reinforcing its indentity as being the walls of the City that stand firm in the storm. Pillars of strength and resilience.
I remember when fist of havoc was good in PVP for a season then everyone cried lol
But it gets boring and when an encpunter is designed in a way that prevents melee dmg from being viable, something like the witness fight where you literally can not melee him consistently, they become useless, which is why you saw so few titians clear day 1.(That and hunters having big dmg atm, which is pretty much made nessisary when you have a boss with 30mil health and only 3 phases to do it)
Solid analysis
I use strand on my titan. Which is weird because prismatic is suppose to be superior. Heavy reliance on orbs for survivability doesn’t feel awesome. Especially in harder content. It castrates the power fantasy. Warlocks easy mode, hunter is fun and engaging. Titan just feels like work.
Best way to describe it right here. Its WORK to use Titan effectively a lot of the time
As a Titan main, I agree. Strand and Shield banner are the closet we have to the power fantasy. I will say we should give Catrina a little bit of a break, english is not her first language.
Not going to lie, the thought did cross my mind.
@@PocketTuna Apperciate that, to often on the internet we jump to conclusion rather than have a bit of patience and consideration.
I feel like we are just being laughed at lol
It's annoying for sure but I'm not stressing. Us titans still have grapple melee boss melting. Yes hunters have it as well now but at least we still have that. Also knowing that Bungie is working on it is nice so I'm not stressing.
It's nice to know they're working on it but also kinda scary lol
I'm a warlock main and even I realize that titans are getting the shortest possible end of the stick. I didn't realize how bad it was until I started seeing this rule of "no titans" in the raid. That's just cruel
Feels so bad
"No titans rule" WHAT!
I cant wait for aegis to actually give a grounded look on titans in the currrent sandbox
(Im a titan main btw)
I got into titan earlier this year cuz i got all the base exotics and just made a build off UA-cam and the void and solar builds made me love the class but the moment prismatic came out it made me realize this was made for warlocks and no one at bungie care about titan......thanks for confirming my fears guys
the salt is so sweet omg. the day finally had come.
Poor guy...
i main Titan and I genuinely didn't even realize Weapons Of Light was gone bc Twilight Arsenal is the only super I've used since it dropped. It's a one and done ranged super, it's everything we needed FOR YEARS
it's not enough that they're giving us some new tools, Bungie has to take everything that worked the previous seasons away
its even sadder when hunters were able to do we titans did before prismatic at an equal level if not greater in some cases, yet bungie hard nerfed all titan builds that had huge melee damage while keeping hunter melee builds in tact when hunters main ideology isnt even about doing big fist damage. still remember hammer was such a devastating nerf, its what made the subclass good for a reason.
They can't seem to make up their minds on what they want Titan to be.
How do we get Bungie to see this?
even if they do, it wont fucking matter. bungie hates titans, its obvious.
@@AlckeeRight, so Titans should NEVER have anything useful ever again.
@@AlckeeYou have no opinion toxic ass
Wow! This is spot on 🔥
Bungie should double down on the "Banner Titan" and bring that function to the other classes.
Typical :-(
I’m a hunter main but I agree.
Even Titan mains are forgetting the name of their own supers 💀
