      I did, I even changed to the green elastometer by now.
      I am quite a slender person, so at first I did the same I do when sitting in a cart which was just fully pushing my back against the seat. Using that to start I went to mostly using my leg muscles by now in a few 20 or so hours of use. I am not pushing them that far, you dont need to. I think I am at around 40-50 bar only but its more then enough as long as your muscle memory gets the gist of where your pedal needs to be for breaking.

    I'd like to add that if you don't have a sim rig then to mount the pedals using a piece of plywood with an overhang of wood at either end and placed up against the wall works just fine. You'll need to source some thin rubber to place at either corner to provide a little stickyness and, well it's just nicer underfoot.

    I bought the load cell brake pedal and used it yesterday for the first time, before I had the standard couple of pedals from Fanatec, using the brake with the stiffening foam, now removed to use the same pedal as clutch.
    Firs impression: the load cell pedal is WAY stiffen then before, I hardly make it move lets say for 1cm. I adapted the sensibility using the wheel base: yes this can help to not lock the wheels, but the pedal is incredibly firm and hard to use.
    I then passed the whole day adapting my breaking tecnique and leg position. At the end of the day I can say I LOVE this pedal as it is more realistic and very sensitive.

    I have had the the pedal set for a months now. The overall feel of the brake is good , but a bit vague when it came to trail braking. Installed the over priced 3D wrap linear elastomer and it feels great. Gives it a bit of initial take up then stiffens. For those who prefer more stiffness id suggest the progressive elastomer. I also modified my pedal set with the a set of OMP pedal faces for 25 dollars

    Everyone says you can't use them on the floor, but I found a little trick that let's me put like 80 or 90 % force without it moving much. You just have to put it against a wall or box, then pull it towards you slightly and put something hard and stiff but thin behind that back section of the load cell pedal, I just use some random little peice of wood. It doesn't move back because of the wall or box, and it barley lifts off the ground because when you put that hard force on the brake, it can't rotate because that small hard peice is there putting the force on the box and wall instead.

    • @user-wq9mw2xz3j
      @user-wq9mw2xz3j 2 роки тому +2

      right. I find it unbelievable that you can't use them on the floor.
      Same is said about other pedals, but I've also used t3pa and clubsport v2 pedals without much issue (for the t3pa I just needed a 0.5€ rubber mat under it, and with the cs pedals simply to not use the brake at full weight, which I dont want anyways).
      Always better with a rig though

  • @andymaxwell23
    @andymaxwell23 2 роки тому +8

    Regarding setting the brake force to a low settng, and trail braking; you may find you don't have much pedal travel if you set the braking force too low. Although setting it higher means you need to push harder it increases the pedal travel and gives you more control over your braking.

    well I have and still testing these Pedals coming from HE Sprints, and I have to say their good! The clutch feels great be it linear, and the brake stiffness is pretty good, I had to higher the braking force of the pedals in the Fanatec software to prevent the SR10 or the 992 Porsche cup from locking, the throttle however is the weak point of these pedals. It feels dead easy to engage and very light, there is mods out there that someone can do (like elastomer mods). Overall there good for the price tag and much better than the Cammus pedal set I have tested.

    Got it and tested yesterday. Vs the stock csl brake, that 60kg is stiff af.
    I had to double checj whether if I forgot something holding it back from being pushed lol.
    Not to forget the fanatec elite had a 90kg resistance.
    Meanwhile the expensive 100kg load cell brake from thrustmaster felt like it had no resistance at all lol.

    Dont think the fact that it is unadjustable is an issue since it is plenty stiff enough and you can just turn down the loadcell force required in game. It would only be an issue if it was too soft. And idk how you can simrace with socks those would slide off basically all pedals.
