How can any parent literally abandon their children, their flesh and blood, and just make a new life elsewhere like their other children don't exist?? I have never been in this situation, but it still amazes me how someone can do that.

This was soooooooooooooo good. While one sister is closing herself off to the world, the other sister is dating an fboy we can only assume is similar to her father. They are both struggling in different ways, but they can still count on each other. Reminds me of me and my sis. LOVE THIS ONE!

I loved this short story. My father I felt didn’t treat all my siblings the same and the only ones that didn’t feel that way were the ones he treated right. But this story shows how me and my siblings act towards each other especially the awkward hug 🤗

Issa Rae and team are out here giving these creatives a space to share some real deep stories on the black experience. My fav is still the one with the little girl who kisses the boy to help her homegirl out. I could go for a mini series about that school yard life.

That part when the older sister said her younger sister was meeting up with her ex made me realize how fucked my life was seeing my fuckboy was something I did not mind doing in the end hurt me the most.(TG is been ove for awhile) The fact that I can relate to this makes it easier for me to like this mini episode and want to see more episodes like this. I also liked the part when her younger sister mentioned she needs to help wiht what shes dealing with not just talking to their about dad abandoning them.

I am from a two parent household but relate to most of this. my father worked away all of the time and came home on weekends. he worked closer to home when my brother was born but i guess having four daughters first wasn't motivation enough. whatever.... his was an excellent short.... i would love to see a series but i also love the beauty of this short. it left us in a comfortable place where we can leave this story here for the characters to develop privately but if this was a series i would watch. i relate to both sisters as i am the second eldest sibling ... let me stop because this will be an essay. this was brilliance though.
