  • Dometic CCC2 Thermostat thinks its 32 degrees F inside your RV when the thermostat is on, reads the correct temperature when off.
I experienced this issue on a day that was 78 deg F and raining at 100% humidity. My CCC2 Thermostat controls my Dometic roof top heat pump and my propane furnace. My immediate assumption was its obviously a problem in the thermostat, after all, that’s what is supposed to sense inside temp and call for heating or cooling.
I did a search on the internet first to see if there was just a way to reset the thermostat, what I found is a lot of people experience this problem with this CCC2 system. People have replaced the thermostat, replaced the control board in their furnace, replaced the control board in their AC, replaced all the wiring, taken their RV’s into repair shops and none of it solved the problem, sometimes it seemed a fix, but the problem always returned. We won’t even get into all the usual internet advice from complete idiots who think they’re being helpful with their useless and often brainless suggestions.
In this video I show you how to permanently solve the “32 degree problem”. No technical skills, no parts, no tools, no money required.
Sorry about the poor quality video, I’m a technician not a videographer, you’ll still be able to solve your problem by watching it even without annoying intros, background music or off topic commentary.

Thank you so much for this video! This was our problem. The RV man said we were going to have a whole new AC unit. So glad I found your video first. We did access our Drip pan from the roof unit though.

Thanks! We were able to access the “other end” of the thermostat phone Jack by removing the AC ceiling vent or AC air intake in our 2019 flying cloud. Our unit is “ducted” with all of the wiring accessible by removing the intake filters.

Thanks for the video! Sounds like my problem. I’m pretty sure that wire is the remote temperature sensor.

I have the same 32-degree problem trying to have heat. But I find no water, and the end is just bare wire. Heat won't stop. Any suggestions? Please, and thanks.

I did a reset on mine and now it's not showing the furnace. Not even showing me that I have one
