Thankful for the remake honestly. People complain, but we get, not only TLOU2 gameplay with Joel, but also same graphics and animation as TLOU2. The performances really shines especially since this is more heartfelt than TLOU2. Really does it justice

100% seeing the comparison the original's eyes just aren't quite right (especially the lack of eye contact that only becomes apparent after seeing the remake). There's also so much more emotion aswell, the original eyes just seem slightly lifeless.
i love in the remake how the character models’ tracheas move when they speak and swallow to show the intensity of emotion, as well as who can see joel clench his jaw when he says “you’re right, you’re not my daughter”
Funny, I literally thought the same when it got to that part. I loved the remaster (that’s the only version I’d played until the remake) but I never realized how much emotion was missing from the scene when it came to facial features. The ps4 version just seems so dead now that I’ve replayed it on the ps5. So damn good.
The graphics were pretty damn good for a PS3 game. The remake had highly revamped facial models and more realistic animations. That made the difference. Graphics were not that improvex
Troy Baker, and Ashley Johnson did such a great job bringing these two characters to life in this game. Every time I see the scene it touches me. What an amazing game quite honestly I don’t think there will ever be another game as good as this in my personal opinion.

I saw an interview with Neil druckmann where he said that the best thing about the remake is how they can express the motion capture of their faces and expressions so much better with the hardware of a ps5 then with a ps3 and it really shows
I love Ellie's little micro expressions after Joel's line of, "You have no idea what loss is." Just the subtle furrowing of the eyebrow like she's saying, "Are you serious right now?" The remade character models are amazing.
Man, this is what they meant by the remake worth every penny we ask for. they truly nailed the animations, the tears on Ellie's eyes, the jaw clenching Joel does, the eyes movement, all look like real life

I love the old graphics most because they're what I was used to and they feel nostalgic to me but the new ones are so beautifully done and really make them feel alive like real people. it's incredible

The person that left Ellie was that soldier guy who used to look after her (prob at the instruction of Marlene) until she went to the military boarding school at 13, he “couldn’t” take her in cause he “had his own family to look after”.

This scene hits so much harder after Part 2. Its almost prophetic. By the end of Part 2 everyone she has care about has either left or died yet again and she is alone.
You know, I always felt original Ellie had almost an 'anime' appearance to her eyes but looking at the remaster and remake next to each other, there isn't some "extra watery animeness" to Ellie. In fact, her eyes are the exact shape *but* in the remake, they have _corrected_ the lighting of Ellie's irises which I believe gave me that anime feeling as light now behaves correctly with the anatomy of her eyes in the remake. Beautiful 💖 I see they also _slightly_ reduced the size of her irises!
The level of nuance the new faces are capable of in showing emotion is really amazing although I’m more attached to the look of the old models I’m sure I’d get used to the new ones.

Beat both of the games and honestly is one of the best things you could experience. Teaches you so much about how you should be as a person in general in the real world. This game and red dead redemption 2 are the best games and inspire me so much. Loyalty is all that matters
My mom got me a 3060 and the first 2 games I played were RDR2 and TLOU. We were both stunned by how gorgeous both of these games can look. She was impressed with TLOU for the cutscenes and for the gameplay RDR2. I just wanted to share.
