I posted this exact same comment in your 2019 video and found this May 20, 2021 so since it's more recent I'll post it again. I really hope it helps you and anyone else. My dearest Melis, I'm so sorry I never discovered this video until now. I know exactly why your hair grew back worse...and why others who commented below also had that experience. If I wrote the explanation all out it may be confusing so I'm going to add a link to a Dermatologist who does an excellent job explaining as well as educating about (true) laser hair removal and explains IPL hair removal. In short - the reason your hair grew back worse is because your hair growth was stimulated by the settings being too low. You & your co-worker were probably being cautious and had the settings too low. It's tricky because if they're too high you can burn but if it's too low it will stimulate hair growth especially for those of us with PCOS. MY TIP: Before someone starts ...or re-starts laser hair removal, shave the area and track the hair growth in a calendar (you can use those cheap little ones that come in the mail for free). See how long it takes to get stubble and keep shaving and tracking it. If possible, try to figure out when your hair is in it's "anagen phase" I hope this helps anyone with unwanted hair growth. ANOTHER TIP: I found using pure aloe vera pulp on the skin after a treatment helpful whether it was in a plant or in a bottle that I keep in the fridge. Good luck to all From Sunshine in Toronto Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/gzjEsfFd2yw/v-deo.html
I'm a PCOS sufferer with hormonal imbalance and high testosterone and I'm starting my laser journey again! I first had full body laser in c.2015 and the lady I went to (small business) was not experienced enough for my hair thickness and density and PCOS. It was a total horror - she lasered my face (when she shouldn't have as she should have known PCOS, face and laser is not a good combination and can often make it worse. I am correcting this with electrolysis now - much much more effective!). I am now going to a registered well known laser company where I have a package of ten. I had my first session at the start of May and already seeing a slight result. Fingers crossed I have better luck this time! Always always go somewhere recommended (especially if you have PCOS), have a patch test on different body parts, keep a track of the settings yourself (just in case) and tell them if you are not seeing fall out or a difference and most importantly do your own research! I know now as a PCOS sufferer that once I complete my 10, I will have to go in for more regular touchups but with a registered company I have more faith that it will work. Fingers crossed! I love your videos - they're so honest with no BS!
I spent thousands on hair laser removals but it just seem to make my hair grow longer on certain areas. The worst laser for me are IPLs but the ones that made more difference is the Fotona laser. I did see some great reduction on my legs and a fair bit on my underams, but areas that the laser doesn't seem to be that effective in treating are my arms and face (chin & cheeks). I also notice that right before my period, my hair tends to grow more and much faster. So, I am thinking if there is anything I can do before my period to reduce the growth? Does anyone else experience this as well?
I've been doing laser and still have a lot of growth. It even stimulated growth in areas I never had hair. I've been wanting to try home IPL laser devices, would you recommend them or should I continue doing laser even though I've had more about 10 in one treatment period and am still experiencing a lot of growth
I'm transgender so i can relate to the higher T levels and how annoying it is. I'm about to start laser on my face , never knew about the number of sessions needed to make up for missed sessions. I'll make sure to never miss a month of laser once i start. Thanks for the info )
hi. do you happen to know where i can see what is the best type of laser for my skin colour? i’m white with a yellowish undertone and my hair is raven black and three times thicker and abundant than yours lol
Does waxing also stimulate hairs on bikini line? I don't think that hair in that area are hormone-dependent cause even women with no pcos grow hair down there... or maybe I'm wrong? Now I'm confused cause I've just had my first bikini wax at salon and lady said the hair will grow back weaker and I really don't want to grow them thicker and stronger 😭 what to do then? I can't afford now on laser but it feels nice to have smooth skin..
That’s a good point! So I have customers that come to the salon I work at who have waxed for many many years and the hair has weakened. But it can take a very long time until it does get weaker and patchy. For some women (especially with PCOS) it may never get weaker. Before I started laser, I waxed for years and personally the hair grew back the same (belly button area grew back worse). But my point in this video was that if you start laser to destroy the hair, you shouldn’t really wax. If you cannot afford laser right now, then waxing is the better option ☺️
@@melisatesbel ohh, good side it won't grow back stronger 😄 well, for now I'll stay with waxing cause I'm sick of depilatory cream which irritates more and more of my bikini area 😟
I did 14 session of diode on face neck and full bikini after 5 years my full face and neck is back tick and full while I do have only 20 % of fine regrowth on my Hollywood. I did started my soprano ice . I am kn my 3rd session and it looks there is no reduction in my face and a little reduction on the full body. For my experience. With pcos. Nipples and face hair will grow back if there isn't care with use of inositol, low ig diet and all the supplements and lifestyle to keep hormones balanced while on body results are great.
At this point i'm still very shocked with the negative result I got after suffering from PCOS for so long 😊 once again DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on UA-cam for your natural supplements.........
I personally would recommend electrolysis for the belly button area because it’s a small area and there is no risk of stimulating hair on the rest of your stomach
@@melisatesbel Thank you so much for your answer. And is there a way that you can tell in general which body parts are safe to get laser on or can the laser stimulate the hair growth anywhere? For example it would be impossible for me to afford electroloysis for my legs but I don't want to increase the hair through laser

I am Gloria from South Africa experiencing hirsutism and TMAU, my doctors said i have PCOS had to start applying different med from my doctor nothing worked, i visited a channel Alternative Herbs that actually worked for me getting rid of the hairs, Doctor isibor body cleanser helped me overcome TMAU and pcos with in 21 days...
That's a lot tho. My situation is so sad cause I tried telling my mum about this hairy body situation and she is always like most of her friends have hairs on their body, its totally normal and she even gets angry when I talk about it. Its so sad having a mother that cannot understand certain situations.
@@susansussana5513 Hair on the body is normal but when I noticed excess amounts of it and in areas where men grow hair, that's when I went doctors. Yeah laser does cost a lot unfortunately. I got tested years ago at my GP so I don't know of any doctors online that can help sorry.
I personally don’t recommend on the face. If you watch my playlist you will see that in my case, laser for facial hair made it worse. I recommend electrolysis instead
@@melisatesbel I also have PCOS and I have thick and dark hair around my nipple areola complex like around 10-15 strands on each side and they r like 2-3 strands r coming from single hole...Should I go for laser or electrolysis for that?? Pls reply

Heyy, please do an update on your facial hair x
I love your videos, so helpful and informative.
Maybe you could also get an at-home IPL device for touch-ups. Or would it not work?

I’m maintaining the results by having it done a few times a year
