Pakistani here. I have literally the same problems as you stated. I am waxing now a days and just waxing on my arms is so painful and my skin reacts so negatively and stays red and itchy for days.

Hi girl, how are your arms doing at the moment i’ve been considering getting mine done because i probably have the same amount of hair you used to have or probably even more but has that been reduced significantly or still around the same? Also for your back if by chance has been reduced to that it previously was.

I'm wondering if you are still seeing hair reduction after 8 years of laser or if you have made it the point where u have reduced your hair as far as possible and are just maintaining touch ups. From everything ive learned most people should see around 70-80% reduction but the 8th treatment. But since you say you still have hair far beyond that amount of treatments, I'm thinking either you are super meticulous and hyperfocused on tiny hairs or maybe you have reached maximum level of reduction for your body? Also wondering what company you use, the type of laser they use, and the average cost you pay per year if you don't mind sharing?
I do still get normal amounts of hair on my face, arms and thigh areas. Other areas I do not have any hair growth, so it's still quite beneficial for me to get laser done. My laser technician uses the candela laser pro I believe (but don't quote me on that). Each session for me for full body is $200AUD and i get it done every 3-4 months now :)

@@successbysanjna no. I don’t wax or shave at all. I thread my eyebrows and that’s all. I’m scared to start something that I’ll have to do very frequently and forever.
@@904Kellyy this is what I’m debating. They told me I have to shave my face before getting the laser hair removal and those words alone are terrifying! We all know never to shave our face! But for the treatment to be effective you must shave your face. I’m afraid it will make things much worse. And I don’t have the money to get laser treatment done every month , especially if shaving makes it worse which I know it will 😩
@@elettramia6380 I got 5 or 6 treatments done and it did make the hair thinner and grows a lot slower. The shaving party terrified me too

How are the results for the back and chest area ? Are you still getting hair there ? Those areas have thinner hair i’m afraid it won’t work well
Chest area amazing!!!! no hair there anymore :) but the back is very hormonal, so there is still hair, but it's very fine - some people will just have to do laser more than others and I'm okay with it. If you are worried about the thinner hair, dw your laser technician should be able to advise you.

It really depends. You can do full face for about $30. I know the struggles, laser has worked amazing on me!

You can always just start off with waxing or shaving to begin with. I started doing laser when I was 18 :)

Yes I love laser, it has definitely helped me in reducing my hair growth and thinning my hair. There are a few at home treatments you can use, but you would need to research them and see if theyre available in your country!
I got my face lasted for the first time and the hair started growing back in just two days :-/
Also, how effective should the shaving be? My laser therapist didn’t give a clean shave at all
it might just be that you did it for the first time. You have to see it through for a few sessions :) Let me know how youre going with it :)

Can you go out and put sunscreen after laser? I honestly have been looking for answer because I got my laser done this past Sunday and I need to go out during the day.
Sure you can go out and apply sunscreen after laser. you can even apply makeup too if you like, but yes offcourse the skin will be a bit red and bumpy, but nothing to worry about :)

Yes unfortunately my hormones are just aggressive :( I did mention the general cost around $300-$400.

Yes definitely noticed a difference in the upper lip! No hair grows in between sessions :) Its the best!

Hello! i have a question, i have been getting laser removal as well. i have some facial hair as well. since i started the hair on my face seems to get thicker And more then i had before i started... is that part of the process.. or ?
If you had little hair to begin with, you shouldnt have done laser in the first place, as this hair will constantly grow back and in fact thicker. For me had alot of hair to begin with so had to get it done. Please speak with you laser consultant :)
Just to clarify it is a common misconception that surface level hair removal can change the way your hair grows. Hair growth is determined by genetics and hormones. Shaving the hair is surface level and the hair grows at the follicle. It is a myth that shaving can make hair grow back thicker. With procedures such as waxing or laser you are damaging the follicle which can cause the hairs to grow back weaker, thinner, and in some cases (if u do enough damage) not at all. However in rare cases where there is little hair or peach fuzz, the laser might actually stimulate dormant hair follicles, causing thicker hair to grow where it wasn't before.

I think for me it has grown in areas where it previously didnt before, but Im okay with that, bc at least I don't have to do threading/waxing every week. This lasts me 5 weeks and body laser lasts me about 2 months :)

Yes I still have to get laser frequently. I have been getting laser for almost 10 years now. For me I find it more effective than waxing, less painful and longer time between sessions..

do you have to shave before every session? i want to do it on my face and honestly it frightens me...
Not after every session, just after the first one or two when the hair is still tough and getting used to the laser :) trust me the results are amazing once you start!
@@successbysanjna I'm just worried that shaving will make the hair stronger and thicker and therefore harder to remove. Especially on my chin where I have single thick black ones thanks to my wonderful hormones haha.

Results will never be permanent. It will just significantly reduce your hair growth. I have been doing laser for over 8 years now and still have to go back every now and then.
