Next year will be my first ever Elk hunt with my brother, father in-law and his nephew. Rifle elk, I even bought a Howa .300 Win Mag because of you. What was the yardage on this shot? Was it a doped scope or a BDC?
With my dad and uncles. Unfortunately my dad is reaching the age were hunting is becoming limited. Two knee replacements and now he needs a hip. He says one more trip out west and that's it for him. We haven't gotten a bull elk together yet, so that's my goal for next year with him. We are saving antelope hunting for when he cannot climb mountains anymore. I missed a lot of years hunting with him while I was in the army. Trying to play catch up now while he is still able to shoulder a rifle and get out in the woods.
I second that. You can tell how much Randy truly cares and respect Beau. They are true friends right there. Both class acts. Great video and Hank is on the ground. 👍
Beau really is an inspiration and seeing the positivity and joy he has despite his health situation is just really a testament to his character. I Love and enjoy watching all of your content Randy! Thank you for all the good work you do in order to help conserve the public land and resources in our beautiful country! God Bless you brother.
I do not know Beau Baty. But what I do know if that he is an inspiration, especially in these times. I have played college football, commercial fished in Alaska for 12 summers and taught and coached high school kids for 22 years....and Beau Baty is someone to look up to. The gut, the grit, the grind, the intestinal fortitude.....and the heart and positivity are something to be admired. Good on you, Randy and crew. Good on you, Beau Baty. I am misty eyed, elated and rooting for you!!!! Keep up the good fight!
Maybe the best Newberg episode ever! Randy is a great man and sportsman, Beau - a rock star even before cancer, but now............man! Lorenzo, fantastic job! Unbelievable buck! Good good good episode!
Beau is a bad-ass. And he's quite the camp cook too! I pray he beats this current setback for many more seasons in the woods and spending time with his family.
I absolutely love the fact that you gentlemen are ambassadors of public land hunting in this country and the face of what true hunters are. Thanks for all you do.
I can’t say enough great things about Beau! Even when he’s sick he’s got a big smile on his face and a super positive attitude! Randy, you are very blessed because friends like Beau only happen once in a lifetime! My prayers are for a safe trip and complete healing and comfort for Beau! Oh, and congrats on a awesome buck!
I think any video I see with Beau gives me a better outlook on life and God's blessings. Thank you for letting all of us have glimpses of what it looks like to be a truly grateful man. Lorenzo, holy &$%# what a deer! There isn't another "Big Hank" in that zip code and maybe not in that time zone. Making that climb with that on your back and not being winded, you were an excited man brother.
As I watch these edits, I further realize the blessing of great friends and great camps. And the blessing of being an American who, for not much more than the price of a tag and the gas to get there, can have a world class experience on these amazing public lands.
Thanks Randy for just being real. That’s all a man can ever expect from another just to be real and himself. Great buck! Praying for Bo and that he will get better
Dang, looks like such a blast. Hunting with you guys must be so much fun. Beau is a friggin stud for getting out there. A testament to his drive, grit and passion for the outdoors. Times like this show the true character of a man. Hats off. Pulling for him.
Now that is what you call a successful hunt!! I have the all the respect for Beau! Even feeling as terrible as he did, he still hiked out to see/share the amazing story/memories with his great friends!! And that’s what hunting is really all about, not the game we punch our tags to but the memories we make with our friends/families!! Randy, Lorenzo, Beau congratulations on a beautiful buck and the great memories you now have !!
This is arguably one of the best (of many) videos. It is truly amazing to see everyone enjoying a fun hunt together and to see such great respect for Beau. What an inspirational and great person he is. He is the kind of friend everyone wants to have with his positivity and kindness even when he is possibly going through the worst time of his life. His pain hides behind his smile very well. I wish the best for Beau and the team so that there are many more hunts like this.
I about fell out of my chair when Randy piped up with "People have died from less than this". My Father has said exactly the same thing, damn-near word for word after a rough pack out. Gave me a good laugh!
Randy, love how selfless you are and that you so enjoy helping others with their hunts. As I enter my silver haired years, it is such a joy teaching and helping others succeed. You have a great crew-love seeing Beau, love Marcus and Kara, love all your AZ crew-except there sure seems to be lots of Montana plates down south when I’m trying to hunt! Thanks for being such a good example of a person who gives back far more than he takes-something that is often rare in hunting circles.
Thanks for the kind comments. We try to tell stories of hunting, people, and landscapes. Nice to hear when our content accomplishes that. Thanks for watching.
Lorenzo Sartini Loved watching you get your deer! Congrats! Can’t wait to watch Beau! Wonderful to have such a crew of friends-what a blessing. Lots more challenging finding a group of competent women to go hunting with!
What a cool series to watch with a great group of people! Beau is the epitome of a gracious person and to hear Lorenzo give him credit for that buck being as much Beau's as it was his is truly awesome. Can't wait to see what's next.
I don't think I ever seen Beau not smile. Love all the hunts, you guys are awesome. It would be an honor to just come hang out in camp, let alone hike the hills with such a grade A class of men.
Beau is an inspiration to even a healthy hunter. His smile is infectious. His meals look amazing. Of all the hunting I watch on UA-cam, Mr. Newberg your channel is in a class by itself. Great buck Lorenzo.
My wife, family and friends. Hunting has nothing to do with the kill but the memories we made along the way. Randy, it had to be a blessing to be there in person with Beau and watch him smile. He seems to be such a genuine person and we wish him nothing but the best and many more hunting seasons to come.
I have had the great opportunity to watch a lot of hunting video's throughout the years, and this series right here is hands down the BEST I have ever watched. Randy, you are a class act in every sense of the word. As I watch Beau on this hunt I can't help but tear up. The strength and determination that it must take for him to be up there I cannot begin to understand. All I can think is he was where he was supposed to be, with great friends doing what you can tell he obviously loves. What an amazing individual, and what a great crew, all of you!! Congrats to Lorenzo on an incredible buck!! Keep up the great work and good luck on your hunts!
I am happy to hear that part of the story is coming through in video. This is about Beau and the human spirit. The deer are an ancillary benefit. Thanks for watching.
I watch a lot of outdoor videos. There's a lot of good ones but Randy, you, your friends and production staff produce the best. Great adventures but mostly it's the positive mood through all of them expounding on a sound environmental ethic that so many people lack. Thanks again for another great adventure. Kudos to Beau. His character shines through the adversity he is facing.
What a great episode!!! I am so glad to see Beau out hunting with you guys. Beau, you are an inspiration to all of us. Randy you found a great friend and an excellent camp outfitter. Beau's Eagle Scout award gave him a great beginning for the outdoors and he has excelled in his chosen career. That smile of his is worth a million bucks and I am so glad to see him out doing what he loves. I am excited to see the rest of this hunt. Randy thanks for taking us along. I love your content and your one liners are entertaining. You could be a stand up comic. That was a nice buck, congratulations!!!! You found Big Hank for sure. What a trophy.
It makes my heart warm seeing Beau out there! Your attitude and high spirits are an inspiration class act and someone I look up to and who I strive to be. This Wyoming hunt has already become my favorite filmed hunt By Randy. Randy thank you for sharing this, you are a class act as well and very well respected.
Caught myself with a big smile on my face seeing the camaraderie, unselfishness and joy you all share. That can't be bought for any amount of money. Something I have always admired about you Randy. I wish there were more people in the world like you. And Beau, wow man, what heart and determination. I hope nothing but the best for you. Seeing your will leaves zero doubt in my mind that you will win this battle. Keep pulling those proverbial boot straps up.... it is obvious you will. Look forward to Part 3!
Dam you guys brought a tear to my eye.Now that's friendship right there.Thank you guys for another sneak peak into your lives and your hunting adventures.
Young guys that can pack, old guys that can't, and kids, so I can see the world all new and fresh through their excitement-filled eyes (youngest this year was my new best hunting buddy and he's four). Oh, at my age there are also a few folks that you can't see, but they are with me none the less. Most important: my Lord and Savior.
Lorenzo kept saying, as we packed the buck up that steep face, "This is really Beau's buck, even if he wasn't here to see me shoot it." I agree with him. The inspiration and energy Beau brought to the camp was something words and video don't very well describe.
@@Fresh_Tracks and in honor of that I think Beau should get the mount!! Lorenzo can make up a replica! I started following you about 5 years ago and it just keeps getting better. Keep up the great work and stewardship for ALL of our public lands. J
Beau has to be one of the best humans walking this planet. I’ve followed his story the last few years and he’s an inspiration to me and I’m sure thousands of others. I just got back from my first backcountry elk hunt yesterday and as I was driving I somehow passed Beau’s house. Recognized it from previous videos and was shocked to see it. So beau if you read this and was wondering why a silver truck was stopped at the road by your driveway I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to say a quick prayer for you and your family. Keep battling and wish you the best all the way from Texas!!
Another great Randy Newberg film. Congrats Lorenzo on a great buck nice and wide with deep forks. I also hope for the best for Beau and his cancer fight he is a great guy.
I've been dreaming of taking a buck like that for 30 plus years, a giant high mountain mule deer is the ultimate endeavor!!! Seeing Beau like that reminds me of my dad when he was sick, he's a tough man.
Hi randy, I so enjoy your videos!! I know I couldn't hunt those areas like you. I'am 70. But I really hope you can keep hunting like that for many more years to come . And I pray that beau gets better and he gets to hunt alot more with his lamas! !! Stay safe&healthy. N
What a great group! This video showed the character in each one of you. The unselfishness and excitement for one another is what makes these videos fun to watch and what has you rooting for the success of the entire group. Great channel! Beau you truly are an inspiration! God bless
I have been anxiously waiting for this series... it certainly has so far lived up to expectation, I can't wait for the next episode. Beau seems so very humble, I appreciate him and you showcasing his courage, fortitude, and love of hunting. Beyond inspiring! My favorite people to hunt with are my boys and husband, scouted AZ Unit 9 yesterday for my son's late archery bull tag... fingers crossed we will run into our own "Big Hank"
Congrats Lorenzo on the beautiful buck! Beau you are so much fun and such an incredible inspiration! Always a smile and positive attitude. Wish I could be camp cooking with you! Love some great camp dutch oven cooking! The views from this area are amazing!
Randy, I watch a lot of your adventures. The thing i love ithe most is the comradery. Around fire. At dinner even napping on the tip of a mountain, you surround yourself with great ppl
When I was driving to work and scene the episode pop up on my notifications I was like Jesus take the wheel! Nice buck Lorenzo!! Thoughts and prayers sent to ya Beau Batty🙏👊
Great episode! Congratulations to the team for harvesting such a wonderful buck. I really admire Beau's work ethic and enthusiasm in the face of adversity. Superb camera work too! Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I have a lot of respect for you, Randy - LOADS and LOADS. Your hunting ethic, as exemplified by your stance of punching the tag of an animal you wound and don't recover shows the heart of a true hunter, and makes me respect you even more. That said, showing a clearly risky 650 yard shot that misses and then wounds such a majestic game animal -- even though it is recovered -- does not put hunters in the best light, and in my view damages what you and Fresh Tracks have stood for these many years. Had I made that shot (which I would not have attempted), I'd feel sick (as I have on two previous occasions when I've wounded big game animals at much closer ranges). I know loads of people will disagree with me on this, probably vehemently, due to the fascination we seem to have with long range hunting, but I offer this comment with the utmost respect.
I agree. It's unfortunate that the whole long range thing seems to have become acceptable. I enjoy Randy's channel, but don't like seeing this. "If you're not 100% sure you can get a deadly shot on the first try, don't shoot".
A man HAS TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS!! I believe when a person knows his ability, that adds a degree of assurance that not all people have. For a lot of people a 650 yard shot would be absurd BUT having the experience of many years in the sport and knowing ones own ability, this too is doable. Not for a lot of people mind you but it IS plausable if you're up to the task. Truly, each to his own. Respectfully!
My kids , we hunt all the time together , my 11 year old will be able to hunt next year as 12 is our legal age in my state .great video as always . Time spent in the outdoors with family and friends is the best .
Inspirational and moving story on this hunt. Got a lump in my throat when the camera panned up to Beau on the hill waiting for you guys. That is one tough dude, and clearly one helluva friend. Wishing him all the best, and sending some good vibes your way too Randy, all the way from Alberta, Canada. Take good care, and I'll be here watching!
Glad I get to live vicariously, looks like my units here in Colorado will be completely off limits come 3rd season due to the fires. Thanks Randy and company!
That is one of the most beautiful, perfect muleys Ive ever seen! Congrats to Lorenzo and way to go Randy and Beau! What a great and memorable muley camp that would be!
Thanks for watching folks! Who are your favorite people to hunt with?
3 years ago it was family and friends now its my kids since they are old enough!
Next year will be my first ever Elk hunt with my brother, father in-law and his nephew. Rifle elk, I even bought a Howa .300 Win Mag because of you. What was the yardage on this shot? Was it a doped scope or a BDC?

My wife and daughters, my oldest daughter can start shooting her own next year.
It's always best to go hunting with families and friends...
Beau is truly a outstanding person and incredibly tough, hats off to beau
Yes, he is.
Top notch human being right there, no doubt
Could not agree more.
I second that. You can tell how much Randy truly cares and respect Beau. They are true friends right there. Both class acts. Great video and Hank is on the ground. 👍
So glad to see Beau is still in the game.
Beau really is an inspiration and seeing the positivity and joy he has despite his health situation is just really a testament to his character. I Love and enjoy watching all of your content Randy! Thank you for all the good work you do in order to help conserve the public land and resources in our beautiful country! God Bless you brother.
Agree, 100% inspiration.

Yes, I am blessed. In some amazing gift from God, I am blessed with so many great friends and I am humbled by the bounty of those blessings.

I really was! on cloud 9 and just love to know there is animals like that out there. Thank you!
Beau is a inspiration to us all hunters. Smiling, happy and so positive all the time. Thats how you hunt and thats how you beat cancer.
A complete example of friends and team work. Full support from all. Beau, is genuine and an inspiration for human kindness.
As I watch these edits, I further realize the blessing of great friends and great camps. And the blessing of being an American who, for not much more than the price of a tag and the gas to get there, can have a world class experience on these amazing public lands.

Yes, difficult times show one's character. Beau is full of "character." Thanks for watching.
The comradery is amazing. And Beau is a beau of a human.
Now that is what you call a successful hunt!! I have the all the respect for Beau! It is one of my most treasured weeks in a backcountry camp, made so by the great people it was shared with.
thank you!

Your best video yet Randy and crew. Beau....the entire hunting community is standing with you buddy. What a fantastic buck and a fantastic hunt.
Great buck. I'd enjoy sharing a camp with Beau, what a positive person he is.
For sure!
How sweet when it all comes together! Love Lorenzo's disbelief. Well done, guys ...

Beau you are an inspiration to me. I love watching Randy's videos when you are on them. I enjoy them all but especially when you are on them.
Awesome! Thank you!
Maybe the best series I've seen produced by Newberg. Really enjoying both Lorenzo and Beau.
That's good to hear.
Prayers to Beau Baty! That guy is one of a kind! I hope to have the pleasure of meeting him one day!
What a cool series to watch with a great group of people! Beau is the epitome of a gracious person and to hear Lorenzo give him credit for that buck being as much Beau's as it was his is truly awesome. Can't wait to see what's next.

I can honestly say that this episode hit me in the feels with Beau on top of the hill waiting for you guy!! Thanks for all you do!!

Randy, that has to be a trip you will never forget, it was just as special for me to watch it. Awesome awesome hunting camp you all had in Wyoming.
True. I will never forget it. Camps are more special each year and the people I share them with are what make them memorable.
Another great Randy Newberg film. Congrats Lorenzo on a great buck nice and wide with deep forks. I also hope for the best for Beau and his cancer fight he is a great guy.

Hell of a buck! What a guy that Beau is. I'd be honored to hunt with such a great person. Great hunt guy's!
Yes, that he is.
Big Hank. Awesome buck ! Congratulations. Thank you for letting us all tag along. You all be safe out there.
Thanks, you too!
Prayers for strength and healing for Beau.
I’m glad I’m not the only hunter that naps during the hunt 🤣 my naps aren’t usually premeditated though just end up falling asleep 😴
Love the rawness of the day by day. It's what most hunting content is missing. Keep it up, never change.
Man I love watching Randy hunt. Sure would be an honor to meet him and a cherry on top to hunt with him
I do applaud Brady’s sponsors for helping Beau and his family out. That’s important.
Hi randy, I so enjoy your videos!! I know I couldn't hunt those areas like you. I'am 70. But I really hope you can keep hunting like that for many more years to come . And I pray that beau gets better and he gets to hunt alot more with his lamas! !! Stay safe&healthy.
N
Thank you. And thanks for thinking of Beau.
As Beau told us, "There are three things that stir my passions. My God, my family, and backcountry mountain mule deer."
Congrats to Lorenzo for his Big Hank :D

Thanks for putting this one up today. I needed it. Watched from my hospital room. Surgery was this morning.
Wishing is a fast and complete recovery. Thanks for watching.
Thanks I gave a kidney to a cousin. Hope to get out more next year. This was an archery only season for me.
“Bo’s Back Country Bodega” it fits the way he cooks and has so much food in camp.
I agree with you. Way too far and windy for a shot like that. That was a very unclean kill. Hopefully some lessons will be learned.
I was sad to see this 650 yard shooting.
