    @Patriot Six. Thank you for this awesome video, and all of your help and assistance. The location that has the fuel pumps in the middle of the complex , is an Aerial Spraying Service that provides crop dusting services for the farming communities in/ around this part of the country. Keep up the good work partner. As always, I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for the Love provided to 48A!!!

      Well, there you go. The fuel stations serve a purpose. I was caught up in the airport name. I am used to municipal airports having at least a small commercial component but that is inaccurate. Municipal means owned by the people. That's all. If I wasn't making a video I could have used more time and more detail.

      Thanks for watching. I do not recall the soundtrack's name. I get music from Epidemic Sound. You can't use copyrighted music or you will get a copyright strike. So, I have to pay a subscription to stay within the rules. It is probably "Sound of Peace" I have used several and I think at the time of the video, that was what I was using. By the way, you can download an app for your phone called Shazzam that will hear a song and search for the sound online. Most of the time, it will find a result.

      Hello. I understand what you are seeing and saying. The vehicle density is ticked to 100% in my settings. I have not changed the settings from 100 to see what the impact may be. I use GLOBAL VEHICLE TRAFFIC MSFS by LATINVFR but this mod changes the vehicle style to more correctly match models for the part of the world you are in. Perhaps, changing the density in the simulator options is the way to go. The simulation is a marvelous piece of software but I expect and accept limitations. Where I live, in real life, it seems every inch of asphalt is filled with cars. 😊 If the question is in regards to your simulation experience, then yes, I would change the vehicle settings to get as close to your expectations as possible. I hope that answers your questions. I am not an expert and there are a lot of things that I do not know. Happy flying.

      @@Artendo100 I have yet to figure out how. There is a closed street at my home airport KBNA that was once an off ramp for Interstate 40. The closed road runs right up to the new taxiway. I have tried to remove the road with an exclusion polygon but the trucks and cars continue to run up to the taxiway, turn around and go back. I've got a road going right through my airport, and I can't seem to find any way to exclude roads. Polygon with exclude roads doesn't do anything. Is that just broken, or am I missing something obvious? Thanks for your videos!

    • @patriotsix5880
      @patriotsix5880  2 роки тому +1

      You are welcome for the video and thanks for watching. Actually, you are not doing anything wrong and you are not missing anything as best I can tell. I have the same issue at KBNA. In reality, the taxi path passes over a freeway but the airport area is not terraformed correctly and I have to taxi through the freeway traffic and the cars and trucks drive through me or me through them. From my understanding, and I have researched this matter, is that the traffic is AI-controlled to run on "road materials" and removing the roads does not seem to remove the road materials and the vehicle traffic. I do not remember where I read this but I read that the current SDK is not at a point where we can edit traffic patterns. One might ask how the payware creators can manage these issues. And that is a fair question and one I do not know the answer to. Maybe the payware creators have a better tool than the current SDK provided to us. This is total speculation on my part but obviously, some creators can do more than us users. So, based on this theory, I am hoping there will be a continued improvement to the user SDK, and eventually we will be able to manage road traffic. I wish I could give you better news but that is what I know at this time. If you find out something different, please share because I will be all over fixing traffic once I can.

    • @nonlocalflow
      @nonlocalflow 2 роки тому

      @@patriotsix5880 No worries, thank you for the detailed reply. I'll keep my eye out for SDK updates or anything else that allows us to get rid of (or ideally, move) those pesky roads. The terraforming is definitely the culprit in my airport too. Super annoying, but until we have better tools I guess we're stuck.

    I've been using flightsim since FS5 and creating scenery has come a very long ways. Just like painting aircraft. What used to be simple and very easy to do has since became somewhat complicated. Your video has inspired me to possibly try and work on one of my own local airports, KMOB, KBFM, and a couple of the smaller private airports in my area. Thank you for taking the time to do this and teach others how do this craft. One question I have is when you were researching the types of hangars to use, how was you able to view those hangars to know which ones you wanted to use ? Is there a program that shows pics of the objects ?

    • @patriotsix5880
      @patriotsix5880  2 роки тому

      I do caution against bringing an airport in. The resolution is limited up close. For example, you would not want to capture hangers you taxi near. The photogrammetry looks good at a distance but not up close. If you want to capture a remote building at the airport but not a building you frequent, sure, you can do that.

    @PatriotSix, Hi, I am impressed, and encouraging way you made your videos, in my home town there used an old flying club (OPLH), which has a historical background, but unfortunately, it's now closed in the name of development. I wish and I would certainly try to keep it alive at least in flight simulators. My first issue is that the apron in msfs 2020 is not flat, it is tilted, first I have to level the apron, which I honestly don't know how to do it, I will appreciate if you could help me out..secondly, I would like to create it like it was in my childhood (1950's).

    • @patriotsix5880
      @patriotsix5880  Рік тому

      You can fix a lot of terrain issues by terraforming but you also have to be careful. Typically I will use a polygon around the area and simply tick terraform in the properties of the polygon. Usually this simple step will flatten the terrain. If you have issues let me know and we can work together to solve the issue. I probably cover every subject, or close to every, but it is spread out in various videos. I will see if I can find a situation where I do what you are wanting and reply again below.

      Greetings Anthony. To my knowledge, there are no illustrations of the visual appearance of any of the hangars. You have to do this the hard way. Add a hangar, look, keep if you like, or delete if the hangar is not a match. And look at another hangar, rinse, and repeat. One by one, hangar by hangar. Yea it stinks and there is no easy way. I will normally make a note of an interesting hangar I might use again. For this video, I paused the recording and manually searched for matches.

      @@uscstaylor So, I looked, and I saw the same thing as you. There is a slope the buildings are setting on. This can be improved by terraforming the ground at the buildings. I would build a polygon around the buildings. I would let the polygon be wide enough to end about halfway between the buildings and the runway but behind the buildings, I would stop a few feet behind the buildings. Then I would select terraforming, and that is all. I would let the terraforming level the ground. Also, I would keep the terraform falloff to a small amount. Five meters. It defaults to 200 meters. • @patriotsix5880
      @patriotsix5880  2 роки тому

      I am sorry Big E but neither Jesus nor I can help you. I run the music -12 to -18 Db below the voice level which is the industry standard for video. I have worked in audio my entire life and owned and operated a recording studio for 15+ years. I learned quickly years ago that sound is like the temperature of a room and personal. Everybody has an opinion and you can't please everybody. As an old audio engineer friend of mine used to say "People know two things. Their name and how to run sound." 😊 Every end-user is situational with their own equipment and settings. If your system has any audio compression or audio limiting built into your sound card or mix software it will exacerbate what you hear and what you hear will not be what I hear. The same applies if your built-in audio equalizer is heavily weighted towards mid-range frequencies. High mid-range settings also make me cringe. The audio transducer you use can range all over the place from medium to great. So it makes it impossible on my end to make all happy. I try to split the difference as best I can. I use CC so if the audio is not to your liking, you have the option to mute the sound and use closed captioning. This is something I spend a lot of time on to help others but it is not a paying gig. So I will not chase my tail trying to manage all situations and please everybody because I already know that I can't. Best of luck and thanks for watching.
