While a "pure" timelapse can be good, those extra details like some Key events being shown gives this vídeo that extra spyce It needed to become that magnific lavish buffet that It is :^D
I love starting with a single colonist and taking it this far. It's satisfying to me, personally, to have a story about a single character rather than a grouping that changes. This video is awesome!

Wow. Dedication when you play a game for 10 years. So you started since 2012 then?
I started with a family of 10, learning to play the game with the difficulty higher and increased infection plus full friendly fire damage. This was incredibly difficult at first, but I can safely say after loosing four originals colonists I have a royal bloodline going for whays going to be the most bizarre kingdom in the planet. Im not going to leave, I'm here to take the whole thing!!!

I can't see the mod in your list, which can let you build around anima tree.
BUT WOW! This video was really good! I enjoy the work you put into editing and capturing the memorable moments. It is a really good looking base and I went back to watch again while waiting for my game to load up.
I don't use any mods for the anima tree, i just take the -30% psyfocus gain penalty/debuff.
Honestly, it's not that bad, i'd rather have the debuff and have the colonists be close to the anima tree at all times.
Also, Ideology DLC allows me to have ritual/parties that recover all psyfocus, so it's not really a problem.
@@SirVesanus Okay. And I can see you have the room unroofed around the tree and meditation spots, but you also have a heater in the room. Does it change anything?
@@XxMkyMTRxX I think it helped slightly with temperature (few degrees C), but i don't think it was a good investment.

Transhumanists can repair really well
I can usually keep two or three alive but only if I give them preferential treatment.
I once saved a 16 year old farm kid from a transport pod, he had kinda shit skills but I didn’t want this random kid to die to a raid so I only gave him safe jobs.
He lasted 8 or so years and by that time he had 18 in multiple skills and was using psycasts to help with mental breaks. It was dope

Amazing I'm at 2000 hours of games and I've never built anything like this yet.
I just recently left the planet and i have ~460 hours. I had to really grind and use cheesey strats to get there though. Also vanilla expanded Warcaskets helped.

What CPU do you use to make it run so smooth?
Overclocked i9-9900k, but still.. speed 3x was not really possible in mid-to-late game. Game needs some optimization :P

Holy mother of god that is a lot of plasteel! Where did you get it all?
Several long-range scanners tuned to find plasteel, manned by very skilled researchers. Once i scan like 20-30 plasteel nodes i send mining caravan (with 20 pack animals and miners with drill arms) to mine it all up. One run usually gave me around 7-8k plasteel.

I've been handling mechanoid drops all wrong for *ages.*
Yes you can!
However, it's not always possible. You need to use one of the mech walls or build your own to roof the mortar.
If you're building your wall make sure it's placed on the 3rd tile away from any mechanoids/mech structures or they will wake up.
why the reform into tree connection? it seems like it wouldn't fit with this playthrough.
The colony started to use a lot of gauranlen trees. It felt like an interesting combination at the time (tech and nature).
The true rimworld experience -human leather chairs
Let's take it to another level by processing human meat into survival package meals for $$$. Also production specialists making legendary human-leather dusters/cape all day and night :)
Wait so the mech cluster forgot a proximity sensor so you could just build a roof over the mortar?
Mech clusters tend to spawn without proximity activators most of the time (or are out of range of automortar).
With proximity activators the only solution would be quick invisibility psycast -> roofing -> skip psycast to quickly get away.

I'm sure if you can build even better than this. Just gotta slowly and carefully plan what rooms you need and where. Also planning tool mod is a must: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=881100382 - Color coding really helps with readability.

i9-9900k OC'd to 4.7 GHz, 32 Gigs of RAM, Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD - These are probably the only ones worth mentioning since GPU doesn't really matter here. I've also used 2 performance mods: Rocketman and Performance optimizer (both on steam workshop). IMO game needs optimization as it runs quite poorly with ~30 colonists mid-late game.
