Just finished replacing my screen. This tutorial helped a lot. A friendly reminder to not cut too deep near the left side of the fingerprint reader. I cut my fingerprint sensor cable and now have to replace it.
do you know why i cant use the finger sensor anynore? it doesnt appear in the options, ever since i deleted the 4 fprints i had, on the menu the only things that appear are facial and voice id i dont know why deleting the prints deleted the option to use them 😧
Very detailed video. Thanks. I'm interested with one question: is the water resistance still be active after such disassembly? It is very important !!!!
Glass only replacement needs professional machine and skills, DIY repair can probably ruin the whole screen. I will recommend you change the whole screen with digitizer.
I own an LG V30+ phone. While this video demonstrates disassembly of the phone in order to REPLACE the OLED + frame + digitizer glass, you would NOT want to heat the OLED display at 100°C for ANY amount of time if all you need to do is replace the battery. (Use rubbing alcohol to de-bond the glue from the battery.) High heat can severely damage the OLED. Otherwise the video is well done for a display replacement; (though, I'm technically "off topic," since this video is for replacing the OLED display and not just a battery.)
Noé H at aurthorised service they say if the gasket which was previously used is installed the water resistance would be there they charge extra for that. At least at SAMSUNG this was the case when i had to replace my s7 battery.
Can somebody help me?.. I changed the screen without problem, it works very well but now the speaker does not work for me ... I do not hear music, videos, calls etc. Everything seems fine, I don't know what happened
It really isn't all that difficult. But, for the money, you'd be better off buying a new phone, since LG has finished doing security patches/OS upgrading for the LG V30 since August 2019. (I still like my V30+ though... A great phone with awesome (wired headset) sound.)
I've gotten a Lg V35, screen is good, but metal midframe is bent. Ordered a new midfrme from Shenzen China (hooray 21 day wait) Will this procedure work? Can LCD be moved over to different frame without damaging LCD itself? is screws, tool free or heat adhesive holding LCD?
Has anyone done this and can they verify that the screen is in fact an oem 1440p oled panel, and that the variable resolution feature still works? I only have a tiny crack and a couple scratches and i would be furious if my phone's image quality was anything less than it was the day i purchased the phone
@@smokelife6315 None of my local stores carried it so I got mine off of Amazon. As far as tools, I looked up (again on Amazon) "Phone repair kit". They come with some mini screwdrivers and a few tools for prying the back open. I think it was like $5-10 and it worked well for me. I used a hair dryer instead of a heat gun (already had the hair dryer) and that worked pretty well to loosen up the glue, it may have taken a little longer but it worked well enough. And then to finish it up I used eye lash glue to close it back up.... So maybe find a repair kit that comes with glue to put the new back on if it doesn't come with adhesive on it.
I'm actually doing a repair now with the screen only and using the old frame. Doing it my way, you can leave all of the little pieces that connect to the frame, like the vibrating motor, side buttons, etc. Plus, you have to heat the front of the screen to remove that old one, which is a little more time consuming and messy since the screen cracks more when removing it. If I had to do it all over again, I would rather buy the screen with the frame like in this video.

I think at this point is best to buy a new phone.....at least for me😒 I'm so good at taking things apart with no problems at all, but when it comes to out it back I'm horrible, if there is 10 screws 😔 I always have 2 or 3 left over😅

Thank you SO much for this video. Saved me a ton of headache when I replaced my screen. Having the steps to reassemble was super useful.
Thank you for the detailed walk-through. I replaced my screen and back today with no issues.

Thanks for the detailed video. This isn't going to be easy.
Yeah
what is that glue that was used to re-attache the small components?
Cheap phones suck when having to work on it
@@mokokawi yeah and iPhones are a fucking dream to work on right ? 👀👀

Thanks for the tutorial. It looks more difficult than I had imagined.

S ....I have a same doubt
Is there a type of glue I can get at like Wal-Mart for reinstalling the internal components?
is possible to replace just the screen glass, witouth the digitizer? if yes, how do you sepair the glass from the frame ? please heeelp
Just wondering.Did you ever find an answer to this question?

I have a one question after replacement of screen water resistant will work are not
What adhesive did you use for the battery?
will it still be IP68 water/dust proof if repaired exactly like the video?

I changed the screen without problem, it works very well but now the speaker does not work for me ... I do not hear music, videos, calls etc.
Everything seems fine, I don't know what happened
Is it safe to do this without a heat gun?
what kind of glue do you use?
Wow that looks difficult. Thanks for the upload. Might just have to buy another phone 😔

yes, you can replace the midframe only, use adhesive to stick the display

shifted n' rifted I’m looking to find an answer as well...
Do not order from this company. They accept money for OEM parts and then tell you they don't have it later.
The V30 frame is the same that the V30+ (only the storage change in this model) or not ? Thank you
That's hard to tell, cause we don't know what's looks like inside the frame, all we can see is the outside of the frame.
Where do you get the new adhesives and glue?
www.witrigs.com/custom-lcd-supporting-frame-sticker-for-lg-v30
What kind of glue are you using? Could i use superglue?

Hey, i'm interested in buying a screen for my V30, do you plan on getting it back in stock ?
ما شاء الله

Is the kit without the digitizer??
Sorry I'm not sure what do you mean "kit", but the replacement part in this video is screen with digitizer and with frame.
Can i put lcd+tc h930d$ to u$998 ?
What kind of liquid glue should be used?
Multi purpose glue, like B-7000.
when assembling, the screw from the jack has not been turned ...
What's a decent price for the replacement part?
I'm finding the glass for the screen (not the screen itself) for about 15 to 17 usd

Great Video
Can i use display for v30+ us998
Same display for both V30 and V30+ Herr Pzkpfw
omg that's very hard to repair!! i think that if you have the screen together with the frame it is harder to repair, isn't it?

Whoever design this phone really wants you to buy a new one if you ever break ur lcd lol
What is the glue or adhesive or some other liquid that you're using at 10:54 and earlier (ua-cam.com/video/yAIG_9cix3o/v-deo.htmlm54s)?
found the instructions at www.witrigs.com/blog/how-to-repair-broken-lg-v30-screen/ - B-7000 glue

You need a tool to prevent screw missing www.witrigs.com/best-016-magnetizer-demagnetizer-for-screw-driver
very hard
Yes it is. Its not worth it unless you have nothing else to do. Easy to break too.
So we pay 800 plus dollars for a glued together smartphone? Hope I never brake my iPhone X

That's back panel replacement.
The title is misleading.
Incorrect.
Don't Try this at home. If you don't have experience you will likely break your phone forever.
Am I the only person that notice that he literally doesnt even show you how to replace the screen...how does this video have a single like
I think its cause your replacement will be the whole piece at 9:10, so your pretty much moving the motherboard and battery in the new screen.
This is not for the OLED screen, its the back screen.FAIL
Did you watch the entire video? Because everyone that did knows you did not watch the entire video.
