How so, you mean less radar vectoring and ATC control and communication, especially during the climb? I imagine they’re still watching and ensuring separation when needed, right? And there’s comparatively a lot less traffic to deconflict and sequence there, I presume?

Mate, have you said this summer? But Papua New Guinea and Australia are already in summer. Both are in the southern hemisphere, like here in Brazil. The summertime in the southern hemisphere will end on the 20th of March.

Because we’re upside down, white shirts actually look blue to us.
I notice that you both use different oxygen delivery systems…is it just preference and you get your own or or are the pilots required to have different systems in case one of them fails
Hi Ryan, I have a question. When you file an IFR flight plan in Papua New Guinea, do you have to "pick up" your IFR as you would in the States? Or is it a bit more casual there? Thanks again for another enjoyable video. 🙂
More like regular flight following.. in fact, it's not really treated any different than a vfr flight plan

Is “tower” the tan and white building on the side of that small hill, looks like it may have a radar or weather system on top of it? And it looks like they have a radome for satellite comms up on the bigger hill?

I actually work with Ethnos 360. And yes, we work closely with MAF and JAARS. I was originally trained by MAF, and recently did my yearly checkup with JAARS in the Kodiak

Wait... dry clouds? Clouds are water vapor, right? So... is it the size of the water molecules that makes them "dry clouds"? Smaller water molecules make it dry clouds, or larger molecules?
As in, there wasn't water running off my windshield like usually there is in clouds here

What I cant understand ,as why helicopters and plains dont have parreshutes. Hilicopters can have a solid tube in the middel of the rotor with the shute in the middel. Big plains, can have them on the roof. A parreshute behind all plains, to be deployed ,to prevent them going of the runway when landing. It would be a perfect world. But a girl can dream. Or not.
