These are very very good videos. From all angles. You give lots of information on building which is brilliant. But also your production for the videos is very good. I'm impressed
Thank you for the information! I have been trying to figure out why we don't screed indoor floors in the US. I have seen videos for patios, but not indoor flooring. However, the rest of the world seems to do it this way (surprise, surprise). Seems to be more economical than only using concrete and self leveling solutions. I appreciate it!
Any reason why there wasn’t any insulation boards underneath the DPM? Might be obvious to others but for a garage conversion I’ve got to insulate first.
Would do that a bit differently, I would use spots on larger areas though also sbr is great in floor screeds as it's a waterproofer and strengthens mix, good job lads tell you one thing I don't miss London seeing that traffic again 👍🇮🇪
35 bags of sand in the van and you'll do the job in a couple of hours? It would take me a couple of hours just to load 35 bags on the trolley... let alone getting it into a van and then doing the job.. 😂
Good job. However dpm should b up wall above screed & a 150mm strip of foam around edge of wall.. look at wall he as bridged the dpc. Damp will come up..... Sorry but little things can become big for customer in future.
Thanks but you've miss understood what we did. The dpc isnt bridged. Its a cavity wall and the slab can be about the inner dpc as it is lapped into the dpm.
U should have used a barrier between the concrete and screed DPM or polythene it stops cracking also mix in glass fibres up stand on outside walls should be used too.
Ages ago people were asking what his name was and he chose to remain anonymous, so that name stuck and he’s been Mr Anonymous ever since. (Hope you don’t mind me responding Darren 😄)
I would love to have a trustworthy builder like you!! You are a blessing!
Not many of them about
Teamwork gets the job done. Top men.
Really enjoying these videos! Thank you 🙏
Great video 👍 how long it takes to dry before anyone stand on it thanks.

I love this method. Very simple for beginners.
I enjoy your vids. You never moan just get on with it. Pleasure to watch.
Very interesting. It's amazing you can do this work in such cramped surroundings.
Good job guys, very professional.
It looks great!
Mr A hard at work today......another part of the job neatly done

Another example of your work ethic. 💪
Fab.....you.....las my friend great work yet again
Thanks for the Video and tips. How fresh was the concrete slap you screeded over? I have a fresh pour that needs screeding.
Ok, building question! Why do you screed a floor rather than just have cement slab to the required level?
It’s mainly to do your final levelling. You can also bury services in it such as underfloor heating.
@@darrenthebuilder clever!

Great job Boys 👍👌
Great job.
Excellent video as usual
Good job fella.
One of the marvels of god given youth, 'how the knees take a bashing'. May i ask how long a wait before the self leveller?
How long before it goes rock hard? Do you have to wait before self level compound? Which self level compound is best?
Yes hard in a few days. Couple weeks to cure properly.id give a week or two before self level
How thick was the screed laid?
Hard on the Keen's, good Job, Good day's Graft
Good job bit rough on the floating finish but good effort
No idea what screeding was lol always valuable videos for me
Boss job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looking forward to the fashia an soffits on this job too
How come you never wet the floor first ? Will it not form a barrier than could let air in ?
The concrete floor is still curing no need to wet it
What you could of done was work to your opening with the enclosed wall as your guide , you had uneven patches in between

There are insulation up stands. What’s the need of a barrier between screws and concrete?
@@darrenthebuilder dpm doesn't cover the insulation or wall of thickness of screed. Dpm is a waist of time as damp will come through wall into screed.
Is your van left hand drive?
No right hand
It looks to be left hand in the video.
Thank you for your reply.
Very nice
