Simple video today showcasing how to replace the door speakers as well as the dash speakers on a 2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The 3rd gen's are extremely easy to work on and in this very short simple video - i'll show you how to tackle a very annoying problem! You can't ride around with bad audio! It's just not right! I cant lie to you, I still havent gotten a replacement dash...
However, what I most likely will do - there is a carpet style dash overlay on amazon for like $20
I just havent bought it yet lol, but that will most likely be the move. I was just going to customize it/cut it up you know. I dont like the look of it but I got an idea in my head, ill most likely make a video about it too..

some reason for this model truck - crutchfield wasnt that big a help... easily got everything for my Mustang, but I was just confused using them to find my truck's speakers... anyways. glad you could get a use out of the video :)
I got a Crutchfield speaker plugged in everything work but then it started making a weird noise when like the bass drop it sounded like there was sand in them

No problem!
Im sure you can customize and fit a larger speaker. However, to my knowledge, *stock* fit is the 6.5"

What tweeter wiring adapters did you use? 2 different sets I ordered are the wrong ones. Also a shallow mount 3.5 will fit in the center of the dash

Any issues at all with installing the rear door speakers that you recommended?
no issues at all !! they work great.
only issue i have is with the stock amp. just overall a shotty 2008 piece of equipment.
but the speakers are great and definitely glad i did this!
@@cpwiththegt4779 mine have no sound at all. I tested them with a known good speakers and no sound I suspect the stock amp has issues. I did however use the same speakers you did for the front and they work well.
howdy, whats your honest oppinon on the bass, and sounds? i like to listen to alot of bass music , will it crackle at high audio?
the speakers i think could handle decent bass but honestly , your amp prolly gonna need to be replaced. it just cant handle new age stuff man. unfortunately cuz i’ve heard the amps are hard to change out. some people had luck just changing the head unit. but if you wanna overhaul, you gonna have to replace that amp. mine are decent enough for what i need. but no where near “great” yknow… hope that helps
You can also get a underseat sub like that kicker hs10, easy install and gives it more bass

youre welcome! I cant lie to you, since Ive done the speaker install- i have yet to get a center dash speaker... lol. It sounds good how it is and havent cared enough to get one. If you do get one - id reccomend going with the same brand as the other two , whether you get the same ones I did or not , I just think keeping the same brands will prevent any potential problems :) hope that helps. thanks for watching

@@irmoqbu shiuld see my dash on da 02 1500 its so bad theres pieces everywhere i jus put da carpet over it original owner shoulda done it
thats what im probably going to do too. just kind of cut the carpet back a bit so it doesnt overlay the whole dash... personal preference, anyways.@@Kyaxt
